She looks like she has european blood, maybe italian? We have lots of european cultures here in Aus, we are a very multicultural country. Just because her skin is white doesn't mean she's not "multicultural"

But that doesn't make sense. Obviously, if you're not Aboriginal, you're "multicultural", right? If everyone in Australia that's not Aboriginal is "multicultural", it's not worth mentioning. Like in the US... we're pretty much all a bunch of mutts... but me coming from a Polish + Scottish background doesn't seem to warrant a "multicultural" title.

In Australia, multicultural is referred to as anything which is not Anglo Saxon which was then the dominant population until the Aus. government made a decision to attract migrants from many different countries. So Jess would be referring to the fact that she comes from a different background - agree she looks Italian.

It seems a bit odd that the styslist said that Mad's pictures rocked and then the panel thought that her picture sucked. I think they wanted her gone and so picked a dodgy pic of her. They obviously want Ebony to win so they have a 'high fashion' model!
