I like my flaws. yes i have smatterings of pimples once in a while, i have a tiny nose and mono lids, but all that makes me so i embrace it. :D besides mono-lids are able to wear smokey eyes better :P

i dont even use foundation. i use concealer SOMETIMES but it cakes around my acne..if you know what i mean, like when it gets dry, it kinda forms a ring of concealer around it.

so i dont even bother with that

Palledio sold at sally's and ulta (I think) has a really good eyeshadow primer for under $10 (supposedly it was developed to be the cheaper version of urban decay's primer potion, by the same company). I have been using it for a few weeks and I really love it. There is also Loreal's wrinkle decrease (for about $12). I like it but it dries really fast and does not blend as well (however, if you have oily lids it might be great for you). I like the latter the best, though. :)

For make-up I'm more of a dark black eyeliner and a bit of silver in the crease, and yha I see what you mean by going out with no make-up. I completely agree about what you meant by the canvas analogy. You weren't telling people to pile on foundation everyday or that you need it to be attractive, just that you don't want skin problems to detract from your eyes or lips.

Especially because I see a lot of people wear really dark eye makeup but tend to neglect their skin, and doing that makes anything wrong with the skin much more noticeable. More noticeable than if they weren't wearing any makeup at all.

Clinique has a really good shadows set out for summer called brandied bronze which has these colors and a few others. i got it, and i really love it. that way you don't have to go out and get a bunch of different colors, although that's always fun too :)
