  • how will you do that move in 1:42???

    please tell me

    ive been dying to know

  • Whoever is fighting ( The one controlling Who ever ) Let them try to fight me with My girl Sophitia. You will go down

  • YES!!!!! XIANGHUA WINS!!!

    Still love you Ivy

  • best fighting game of all time, hands down. can't wait for IV

  • Exactly, this guy gets it!

  • How does she do that "my sword tear appart" move?

  • Ivy or xianghua ?? i guess it is Ivy... i will ask, was that the rainbow blade coming apart on xianghua, if that was it, it is called summon suffering (One of the most insane grabs that i can do.).

  • how do you do calamity symphony so easily???

  • calamity? lol there summon surrering and criminal symphony... and he buffers it... while hes doing other moves...

  • what do you mean buffer from other moves?

  • i mean while you are doing other moves you can actually buffer the move while your doing a move, one of the easist ways is to do the 4 b+k grab and buffer summon suffering while the throw is taking place after the the throw is finished push a+B and she will automaticly go into the move because you were doing the directions for the move while the throw was going on and after it was over you input the final command... if your fast you can buffer it from fast moves too like 2+B

  • uuuhhhh

i think is something someone has to show me

i know i sound like a noob but i need to someone actually do it

    thanks though

  • what do u mean show you ?? well i dont do instructional videos... just go read up on it in the soul cailbur forums.... i'm sure you could probably even find videos on it , on youtube... just hunt around, if you dont know what buffering means i dont have the time or character count to explain it...

  • uhm

    nvm

    i know what you mean

but its kind of hard to grasp

    thanks

  • @VanceShelton Could i have that link.

  • @Zainler ww w.8wayrun.com

  • Ok, how hard is it for all of you to do Ivy's 90 damage grab *the one when the sword breaks apart and starts to rape the victim from every angle imaginable* because I have a hard time doing that grab in practice, let alone competition.

  • if you ever played any of the Battle Arena Toshinden games those grabs are actually easy to pull off

  • they arent that hard... just buffer the move as your doing other moves... it can be buffered from aloooot of moves alot more than this guy used... i used to constantly buffer it so it was always on hand when i needed it...

  • i respect anyone who can pull off ivy's 2 impossible moves symphony and .. calamity the 2 special grabs where her swords break up i did it pnce lol but it was a fluke

  • Yes since those moves are so difficult (sarcasm) lmao

  • -_- not all of us have 50 fingure's

  • That doesn't even make sense theres only 4 buttons and the throws are hardly difficult even for a casual player.

  • I have to agree with the Fable on this one. Ivy's grab moves are so easy. Hell you can rotate the joystick 3 times and it'll work due to buffering. I'm sorry but this grab isn't evenly remotely challenging.

  • I have grabs wired to R1 and R2.

  • its actually harder to perform cervantes' geo da ray perfectly ... theoretically its easy, but pulling it off is sthg else xD

  • man if i got to control Ivy I would be tearin this little chick apart. Stomping on her and such.

  • Excelent xianghua =p! i'm pretty good!

  • Nice vid. BTW how do you do Summon Suffering?

I've been trying for ages to pull that one off.

  • im still trying to figure out how stomp on people with ivy

how the heck do you do it??

  • 214K, or, down roll back K.

  • So good!!

Both of them can be excellent!

  • I have SC2 on the GameCube, and I'm trying to find out how to do the Calamity Symphony, and Summon Suffering. I go on practice mode, and have the CPU show me what it'll look like, and I still can't do it. Can someone tell me how to do it? I'm trying to learn with Ivy.

5/5 You did good with Ivy.

  • do 3 circles, starting from left, then going counter clockwise.

  • For both of the moves?

  • ya, then your A+K, A+B.

  • Wow! Thank you man! You are awesome! Thank you so much! That helped me so much!

Great job on the video by the way. You rule with Ivy. I'll ask you for more tips if I can't figure it out.

    5/5

  • Just make sure when you do the A+K one that your sword has come apart, where for A+B doesn't need the sword to be apart for it to work

  • Got it. Thank you. It worked.

  • actually my Ivy did suck back in December '06 when I recorded this. I'm real good with her now. Look up the video Drunken Triad Main Event pt.2. that one's pretty recent, only I'm screwing around most of the time in that one.

  • lol i have soul cliber 2 and i play as like lol

  • omg...ivy's summon suffering... I LOVE IT

  • IVY?! TERRIBLE?!!! OMG! That person who controlled Ivy knew how to input calamity symphony and summon suffering!!! Can any of u guys do dat? DON FINK SO!!! But yeh Xianghua owns too these are mai two fav characters!!!! infinity/5 stars

  • I've been playing since SC1 was new and Xianghua vs Ivy has never been a fair match, perhaps in SC4 that will be different, you see X has never changed, she has been cheap since SC1 all the way to present day... Enough said, don't hate on IVY she will make you cry any day of the week.

  • I play Ivy as my main, and I have gone to several tournaments (play me ill back it up) the ivy player is not horrible, any good SC player knows x is cheap and takes 0 skill to win with, one good counter and its GG. X is easymode in this game, the world's best even said so.

  • wow good battle...

  • God all the Soul Calibur 3 voices SUCK. Expecially Ivy's. Whoever was Ivy stinks, bring out your whip more.

  • i know right. i mean her moves are the same. excpet teh voice.

  • Thats a good Xianghua

  • Nah it's just a terrible Ivy...

  • uuum not really those whip attacks when the pieces break apart and hit seperately are a bitch to do

  • oops this is my sister account ><

  • yea, I don't really understand what u mean by that. it's basically 412369874123698741236 for input of grab. numbers corespond to the number pad on keyboard.

  • u mean u play this on the computer?

  • nooooooo! those are just the direction inputs and you can use the number pad to understand them. they apply to directional pad on ps2 controller. 2 is down, 4 is back, etc.

  • argh i am stupid >.< lol tks then =D

  • U do the grab after different moves by doing the move right as you're pressing that direction and you can press a direction more than once in a row without messing up grab input. after it's inputted, you have about a second and a half to step or whatever.

  • ok tks very much.. but i mean.. what is the control of the stepping action?

  • the person using XH is pro!!

  • i don't know if you are familiar with direction inputs, but Ivy's grab is back, then circle around 3 times, then past back, to pressing forward, then do the grab (u don't have to do that many directions, but using directional pad more guaranteed it'll work that way.

  • how did u do the grab with moving so much?

i always have to front K+B then do the grab.. u are pro... and how did u do the step on the person attack?

  • i'm not up for the whole VC thing, makes the game kinda unfair imo and i play in the arcades too~ it LOOKED like you had a few in there, i'm not sure though.

    but still good stuff

  • no, neither characters have any VC's.

  • ah ok, i couldn't tell since i don't really use either of those characters very well. very nice match then =P if namco wasn't too lazy to impliment online play, i'd fight you~ XD

  • Wow, interestingly good Xianghua. Oldschool, to say the least.
