You CAN find this music on the radio (or on your computer) if you know where to look. Check out "Fields of Bluegrass" with Cary Fields on WICR-FM Indianapolis, Friday nights at 9 EST. One of the best bluegrass programs in the country! Streamed to the Internet and available via podcast too.
everyone thinks music is rap or pop or shit like i call it. this music will always be in my heart forever, and i play banjo, and you cant get better than this right here. trust me. i konw my music
@IndianaStone1 this wonderfull music will NEVER die as long as people in MY part of the country still draw breath!......we are THE REAL americans!.......it's time to get the old flag back!
PoisonClan73...You are blowing me away with the sound quality you are bringing forth on these all time great recordings. So few seem to be consciously aware of the astounding difference good audio makes in the perception of music. Most u tube posts are totally based out (especially live performances) and the bulk of the rest are overcompensated toward the high end. I wonder what types of monitors are popular these days. Keep up the great audio work and material selection; it's much needed.
@GBfan04 shit i listen to it 200 times a day and every day. I have a gift for this music. i payed good money for a gibson 2100 earl scruggs speacia banjo years ago still plays like a dream.
@longrangeskeeter No you weren't! There are more people than ever making good music. You just don't hear it on the radio or see it on TV. Check out some local fiddler's conventions.

Is it me or did Earl look like an Italian mobster in his early years?
He is the greatest of his kind though.

Earl is using Kieth Banjo Tuners to get those drop tuning sounds. Adrian Legg uses them on his guitars to do the same thing.

cpassos0189 6 months ago
@cpassos0189 It used to be. It's sort of dying away because of pop music and rap (which isn't music at all). But it's still around!
