  • I think it is nice when they have the normal music for hurricanes. While I like the Storm Alert music, when you watch the Weather Channel ongoing for several hours, it gets a little boring listening to the same song.

  • Your Local Doppler Radar. Who is the narration from intellistar?

  • Allan Jackson is his name.

  • What channel is the weather on?

  • channel 32

  • Mine's on Channel 16 in Mason City, Iowa

  • mine's on ch.18(SD with local forecast in standard definition) and 718(High definition version of the weather channel no local forecast on the weather channel in High def just a satellite forecast in the weather channel high definition) in New Orleans,LA

  • @Dj0287 News: It's channel 62 either now or just on cablevision.

  • Winds N At 70 t 90 MPH.

  • Nice clips!!! Soo many tropical storms and hurricanes came through the Gulf of Mexico.

  • Hura I Will Destory You All Because That Is My Name! DIE!

  • lol my birthday

  • song is "Don't Stop" By Ursula Suzanna Pacheco

  • they did it during gustav and ike

  • ...What? No Storm Alert music? Here, you might die or lose your home, let's make it all whimsical like.

  • Storm Alert started with Katrina in Aug. 2005.

  • why did they stop doing storm alert?

  • They didn't..this was before storm alert...storm alert started with Hurricane Katrina in August 2005!!

  • I know but they haven't done it this year?

  • Is it just me, or has Mr. Intellistar's voice changed over the years? In these 2004 clips, it sounds very bassy, like a radio DJ's voice, but it starts to mellow out a bit.

  • Wow......

  • What's the name of this song?

  • Another storm I wont forget. We just got hit by frances. 4 days later our power finally came back, only to see the track of Ivan coming right at us. Luckily (for me, of course), it veered further west than where I was located.

  • Man, storm alert was on for a long time! No joke! First Charley, then immediaty Frances, out of nowhere came Ivan then Jeanne! It was crazy!!

  • scarry hurricane

  • This is so surreal(sp?). Here you have a monster storm coming down your throat which could flatten your whole life and TWC plays music like THAT in their local forecast. Maybe they should have played Darth Vader's theme from Star Wars.

    Or "Taps".

  • LOL..I was thinking the same thing..always with the cheesy jazz guitar music..

  • beautiful storm, i remember this one well

  • Hurricane Ivan was a nasty hurricane. I live in Pittsburgh and even we got about 8 inches of rain from Ivan. I think Ivan was still a minimal tropical storm when it passed just east of here. After passing just east of here it went back out into the Atlantic and eventually became a hurricane again and hit the U.S. a second time as a minimal hurricane I think. One impressive storm.

  • Yeah it went back out into the atlantic again but it never made it back to hurricane status only tropical storm status...thats still impressive though!!

  • I have a couple of Katrina local forecasts I posted where winds could reach 150 mph...where did you hear 170 mph from?

  • I heard on this type of thing Once Winds Could Reach 170 mph.

  • "Hurricane force winds expected" speech is unused actually?
