@HazeHeat100 it is 2D like X5 and X6, in the sense it's a complete side scroller. The only 3D megman X is X7. It's only the graphics that are 3D. Though, there are turns and stuff in X8, they're turned by simply walking forward down the path, and the game will turn you for you. :)
His critical move is actually the big flame pillar, you know. And moving the floors is actually fairly dangerous when his special attack actually creeps through the floor.

Another suggestion: To make the time that a double attack meter takes to fill up go faster if you missed the first double attack, do two character switches really fast and it'll charge up quicker. (because of the time it takes to do the player switch, yet time is frozen because of the switching)

The only real difference between playing the game on hard as opposed to normal that I noticed was your life meter goes down faster on hard.
