  • You mentioned second chance offer as a scam... About 4-5 weeks ago I got second chance offer for a football badge I paid and it has been delivered? So mine wasn't a scam

  • How do u contact ebay? I got scamed for cod mw3

  • @Forza329 gasp

  • i hate ebay...they are all suckers !!!

by the dutschland ebay rules you can sell only 15 items pro month...

    deutschland ebay is suck !!!

  • If a buyer fucks you, you do have his address ....

  • I bought office on ebay used PayPal. Next day I looked in my purchases and the transaction doesn't exist. Only record is on PayPal transactions. Seller was not/no longer user. Got item # from PayPal. Ebay cleared it up ithink.

  • @ridiculusstimulus I have the same exact thing now but the seller was verifed for like 3 years and my product was marked shipped and then the seller went not veriefed?? Im kid of worried :(

  • ebay simply does not care. That's because ebay itself is a scam. Ebay has ripped off more people than Nigerian scammers have, and that is a fact.

  • very interesting thanks for sharing ;-)

  • 4:20 there was a bid :(

  • Thanks for the heads up!! Go to my ebay vid to see how I got 1100 views to my auction!!

  • why are people talking about checking feedback this has nothing to do with feedback, its a fake listing.

  • i bidded on one item and i was the winner at the time, came back tomorrow and i was outbid, so i bid again a little higher and then the dudes price went up but not the date on the bid and it didnt show another one of his name, so i kept trying and it wouldnt work. so i gave up and tried getting myself a ps3, i bid and then all the sudden a bid gets higher then mine but the date is older then my date . and then i tried to take away my bids, and then it got an error on both the auctions, rip off

  • I got a fake second chance offer. Bought it and then never heard from the guy. Classic hackers.

  • Ebay is full of fraud. The North Face and other high end clothing out of China are all fakes and of poor quality. Some of these sellers still have high feedback ratings. Most people don't know how to spot fakes and the sellers know it. Don't buy anything from China. Most of the stuff are knockoffs. There are tons of fake silver coins being sold on Ebay. Copper coins that are only clad in silver. One pound coins worth 5 bucks that are selling for 500 dollars. Sad to see so many scammed.

  • @ Killcapjohns Black Ops is a pile of broken crap anyway. Count yourself lucky

  • @kingharris22 Agreed

  • i bought black ops off of ebay for 45 bucks and it was a fake copy so I sent the lady a message and she told me to send it back for a full refund and she'd pay my shipping fees and then she never paid me and i lost my proof that it was fake. Worst day of my life

  • Wow, yeah i don't sell anything on ebay but I do buy a lot of different items, I look at the feedback of the seller before I buy, but I never thought to look at the pictures, Im sure if these people hack ebay then they probably can find a way to make it look like they have good feedback, so I look for people with a LONG history of good feedback and I make sure the comments aren't all generic like "Thank you very much" and "I recieved my item with no problem" over and over again..good idea pics

  • Lost $4,900 on a Tektronix Oscilloscope by eBay scammer "TestEquipmentSurplus"out of Anaheim, CA.

The seller Joon Kyong said "We ship item!" but the Oscilloscope never arrived and his phone was "No Longer in Service"

We called to file a resolution center complaint, asking if the team could help us bust Mr. Kyong, the seller who ripped us off.

The PayPal/eBay Fraud Investigation Team said they would NOT investigate anything without a written Court Order from an Anaheim Circuit Judge.

    $4,900 GONE

  • You people know you can sue if you get scammed.

  • no itsactually a method for communication between criminials.. beacuase this is obviously no way to make money... just so u know

  • @Isduk19 - stop crying because you want a toy train to play with also, we know what you're up to man

  • Once in a while I'll sell something on Ebay. When I do I never use my own picture I find a picture online and use it. I guess I should stop doing that.

  • BREAKING IN TO THE EBAY SYSTEM? HOW THE HELL DO YOU BREAK IN THE EBAY SYSTEM TO LIST ITEMS?! BOO HOO, POOR BABY CANT GET HIS TRAIN... GET A LIFE!!!!!!!!

  • @DJGHOSTRUNNER1 you are such a retard... if it was all about his train then he would only focus on that but insred he is talking about other item... god you are such a down syndrome

  • ur awesome for putting this up, Mr. Gibbs. thank u

  • I always pay extra attention before I bid or buy and I report scams whenever I see them.

Actually, I bid on an Ibanez Guitar once and realized it was counterfeit soon after. I reported it and luckily it got taken down soon after... almost crapped myself though :S

  • you can get scammed on ebay if you don't pay attention. You can get all kinds of fake, like fake coins, collectibles, non-brands sold as brandproducts. The feedback rating system work miracles. On the flipside, it makes you to start a shop almost impossible.

  • Just got ripped off by ebay seller nethers007, Ian Nethercot, Staffordshire, United Kingdom, who's simply a crooked opportunist. Can't be trusted; avoid like the plague!

  • alright they can steal username but what bout the password?

  • I didn't pay attention to the entire video because of how pre-historic the software is on your computer :)

  • I've gotton second chance offers from suposed Ebay sellers. I never bid on the items in the first place.

  • Thank you for the info. Thet seem to have another thing going where the guy selling an item will bid against anyone who is placing a bid. That way he raises the bid for himself.

  • Go on amazon.

    It's more trusted

  • i almost got scammed, its a good think i didnt pay at the time

  • I sell my pubes on ebay for 470$ wanna buy?

  • @olfan92 me me would you take 469$ ?

  • I've had scams attempted on me on ebay. I was more annoyed at them for insulting my intelligence rather than the fact they were trying to steal from me.

  • scamers GET A LIFE !

  • Any ebayer with MINIMAL experience would NEVER bid on such a complete obvious scam. Please read some of my comments found here

    watch?v=P8kDAwrCr94&feature=related

For the day-to-day rip offs that can and will plague your online ebay experience. Save yourseves the cost of time and money and turmoil and read. I hope it may benefit some of you.

  • This is why I've never used eBay, and probably never will.

  • @sbowesuk Ebay is pretty well policed and you can block people with poor feedback from bidding. It's quite safe if you only sell to the country you are in too.

  • @MrGurlyboy Ofc it would be a bit far to go to usa for me from sweden just to kill a retard.

  • use amazon instead ebay sucks

  • use amazon instead eBay sucks monkey balls

  • I bid on a Ps3 and got a XBox 360 I had to wait almost 4 months to Buy a Ps3

    Btw PS3 ROXXX!

  • I feel sry 4 the guy who bid on the bike

Thanks for ur help also very useful advice

  • Thank you for this great information!

  • good video your right

    -heather

  • i hate ebay scammers. THEY SUCK!

  • @hotwheelsrule1 I agree but is it a scammer or is it ebay padding their count ? I hate scammmers also but Ebay is the biggest scammer of all

    Jett

  • @hotwheelsrule1 vouas aimerez pas qu'on vous fasse ca bande de trou d'b**

  • @MrAdam20z get a real job or fuck yourself

  • If I ever find your account in ebay I will turn your ass in in a heartbeat.

  • @MrAdam20z hope you love burning because you are going to Hell.

  • why? i am clever enough to do this and make lots of money scamming you idiots

  • it's funny to me how you find these scam operations on ebay where these guys have horrible feedback and people go ahead and drop 3 or 4 hundred anyway, sending a fckin' money order! doesn't anyone have the sense to check feedback before sending a stranger hundreds of dollars via money order? I got screwed on a couple defective computer items, where the return process was deliberately more trouble than it was worth, but I would never, ever send a MO for 300 bucks without checking feedback.

  • very useful!! Good Vid!!

  • eBay SUCKS! I've been selling there for 10+ years and eBay protects the CROOKS more then the honest folks. I've got a wicked problem happening right now and I may post it on YouTube, UNREAL! Thanks for the post, people need to recognize a crook online. It's quite simple really.

  • I've been selling on ebay for a few yrs now & I never, NEVER, buy from someone with a feedback score of zero. I have my account set to where I don't accept bids from people with feedbacks of zero. The latter being harsh but it protects sellers from scammers. Zero feedback then I don't trust you. ALWAYS looks at someone's feedback to get an idea of who you're dealing with.

  • the scammers are doing it now to were they buy a couple of things cheap to get there rating up then they scam ppl and sending faking paypal receipts its crazy

  • I got ripped of $1800 because ebay allowed a fraud seller to register with a fake name and fake item listing. Ebay say it's not their fault, where is the duty of care to it's customers. they are not protecting them, it's all ebay profit and nothing else, ebay is a scam.

  • do people really pay 1,000 dollars for a model train???

  • probably antique collectors who are rich.

  • Eff FeeBay. I sold t-shirts, and had a couple of people file claims with PayPal saying that the shirts were counterfeit so that they could get refunds. Now PayPal is holding ALL of my money for 180 days. I'll finally have access to it by the end of October, but guess where I'll be spending it? Definitely not on eBay.

  • heres an idea! instead of ranting about it how about reporting it to ebay???????RETARD!

  • Why would eBay cancel the auctions, they are crooks themselves and PayPal is just as bad. About 90% of the items on eBay are falsely advertised, ie; perfect condition, just like new and such. It is all lies and deception and Ebay buyer/seller protection is a joke. Ebay is aware of crooks that sell on it but they don't give a damn they just want the comission.

  • woa look at the price! i mil?

  • dude its $1000 dollars not a million

    $1000 . 00

  • OK i bought a item from a dude in California and I live in Maine. I bought it on the 18 of June Today is the 29. I sent him two messages and he hasn't responded yet. Should I file a dispute of just wait longer. He is no longer a registered user. Im confused?

  • Sorry dude you got Pwned on Ebay

  • I recently purchased a Xbox 360, and bough World At War of eBay for it- its been 3 weeks, and hasent shown up!

    what should i do?

  • If you bought it from a big store off ebay they take time to ship, if you bought it from a person (which I do more on ebay) then try to contact them, you can get their phone number easy from ebay and where they live etc.

  • ahahahaha you got royaly fucked

  • Hey, Sherlock. If we are the "dumbest" people in the world, then how come everyone wants to live in America. And besides, calling Americans dumb when you yourself don't even know that sentence starts with capital letter and ends with a dot, just proves how stupid you are.

  • which is why the british lost to a bunch of farmers with pitch forks

  • romania sucks

  • your mother sucks better ;) ....and swallows to

  • i swallowed your mom rofl

  • so slow at talking.i myt use this to go sleep

  • does anybody knoe how to delete an EBAY account?!?!?!?!

  • write the admins

  • yeah click close account.

  • thanks(:

  • why does this guy speak so slow?

  • Ive been burned at ebay before (and thank god it was under 5 bucks)...Use common sense people. If it looks WAAAAAY too good to be true then it likely is. If users are selling expensive merchandise with little (or NO) feedback run away and look at the next listings.

  • This is not about common sense. This is about how much you want the item, the consideration of possible risks involved, trust, and, some luck.

Because there have been sellers too with hundreds of feedback points who ultimately scam and deregister themselves.

  • Yeah, and sellers can have mulitiple accounts to bid on there own items up for sale to raise the auction price and write good feedback.

  • I found the same 1970 elcamino for sale by two different sellers in different states listed at the same time with the same description with a super low buy it now price

  • it`s really easy to relist ended auctions from the system with the advanced search funcion but the mail hack ... dunno

  • thats why I don't buy anything off of ebay.

  • I still buy, but not in stupid ways

  • And that's why you end up with near nothing.

  • good job man

  • Here is my eBay story: I posted an expensive item... then someone registered 1 day after I posted it, they clicked buy it now, but never paid and was no longer a registered user after a couple days... SO, there went MY money down the fucking toilet for a fee!! What kind of SICK FUCKING FREAK would do that shit?!!! SEEMS LIKE AN INSIDE JOB !!! UURGH! WELL, FUCK YOU THEN, MELT IN HELL !!!!!!

  • ouch and i was looking for a guitar on ebay

maybe you cuold help me know if its a fake

  • Nice clip, but you might want to have included something else for bidders to be suspicious of; be very afraid of "new" sellers who's ads are written like pros.

  • It's eBay insiders (polite-speak for "employee scam".) Also check out how to change your eBay seller name - you seem to be new, are not. eg "other auctions" lists other username items.

I don't recommend eBay or PayPal to anyone. Buy locally, have a trusted local vendor get an item for you. Pay 5% more, it's worth it.

eBay is in serious financial trouble as well.

  • this is great advice 5/5!

  • Does somebody want to transfer millions of dollars into your account?

Does someone want you pay you to cash cheques and send them the money?

Met a new friend/penpal on a friendship/dating site who's asking you for money?

Has a dying person contacted you wanting your help to give his money to charity?

Have you sold an item and are asked to accept a payment larger than the item amount?

    IT'S A SCAM!

Don't fall for common scams like this

    fight them!

    ALL SPAM EMAILS = SCAM!!!

  • Good vid.

  • wow! Thanks for posting.

    Keep Up The Good Work!

  • i love ebay, but i also hate it for all the scammers that r there, for an example,i bought a video game and payed 3 bucks for the shipping but i dont know why i gotta pay another 10 bucks for the shiping i dont know whats the problem but i think its a kind of scamm.so ty for this cool video 5 out of 5.

  • NARU sellers are not allow to list anything. This must have been a glitch of the system.

  • Somebody buy that ? haha crazy

  • iwantcollectibles: There is something I want to ask. At 4:00 you say that these people must have been able to hack into eBay to do this because they have the email address linked to your eBay account. However anyone who has previously been involved in a transaction with you will have your Paypal email address right? I've received phoney phishing scam/second chance offers that appeared to be from eBay in my email address but I assumed the scammer was someone who I had a previous transaction with.

  • iwantcollectibles: Hey great vid man! I just emailed someone two days ago to warn them that they had better do some follow up before paying for a PS3 they had won for about $250 dlls. I saw the auction when it still had a little time left and emailed the bidder. I warned them that it was very supicious to start with that it was a seller who had only about a dozen buyer feedbacks over a couple of years and that I'd checked their "other items" and they had 16 identical listings!

  • Well I reported the listings to eBay and I think they took care of it (I think it was a hijacked account). The winning bidder (a newer eBay member) responded to my message and I was able to more fully explain the issues involved ($200 Paypal protection limit, length of time involved even if he was guaranteed a refund etc...). We should all be looking out for each other, helping to educate one another and REPORT suspicious and fraudulent listings to eBay. So kudos to you for making this vid!

  • Thank you so much for this video i never would of thought of peaple doing that . I bid on ebay all the time i will defanitaly be alout more carefull when i buy on eby thanks so much

  • Keep Making NOISE!

Boycott GREEDbay Feb 18 - Forward!

  • i feel sorry for the ppl that buy them

  • i do not feel sorry for people buying it,because if you have a brain like this poster does, you won't fall for this scam.I am a e bay user for 7 years. And i pay attention, just like this poster does.Tahnks for this video though

  • i recon there is a lot of shilled bids on ebay the price some of the items go for shows this to be the case

  • if you get across an e bay user with a feed back of a "red shooting star" AND YOU BUY FROM HIM YOU KNOW THAT HES NOT A SCAMMER!!! red shooting star=not a scammer

  • very useful

  • why do people have no decency/??

  • hard to find numbers for paypal, ebay and amazon: search >>> amazoncustomerservice blogspot cliche ideas

  • i bet you joined them

  • thanks you're pretty cool

  • Lesson, don't buy anything on eBay, don't be a fool!

  • wow hes the most obvious of them all.

  • Another scam to look out for are sellers who shill bid, that is they bid on there own products near the end of an auction using bogus user names to jack the price up. You can pick them out because they have 0 f/b when you look at the bid history .Its illegal and ebay dont care!!

  • they dont care because they will make more money when the bidding gets artificially high and ends higher final value= higher final value fee, greedy scum they are, they must be billionaires many times over by now....

  • i don't know what it's like elsewhere, but in the UK, if an item goes above £100, the bidding ID becomes hidden, and all you can see is Bidder 1 or Bidder 2 and so on - so you can't tell if you're being shilled or not.

    eBa...stards.

  • lol this is why i only buy from ones with over 1000 feekback score and more than 98%

  • Thanks for the education. Everywhere you turn there is a scumbag trying to take your hard earned cash.

  • damn people on ebay for people who do this

  • good headsup! :)

  • Good video. I "HATE" eBay Scammer's.

  • great tips

  • thats probably an ebay employee. how can he be allowed to list if he's no longer registered? maybe he has access to ebay's system...

  • I have actually got a second chance offer for a mp3 player about 2 years ago, not fake, just to point that out, but there is fake ones out there.

  • Good detective work, and well explained.

  • Here is how you can tell if it's a Scam...

Do they tell you to use wire transfer services or to cash a check?

    Is it unsolicited?

Asking for personal information?from overseas? Spam Emails? 2 good to be true??

    Block phone numbers?

    If yes, it's a scam!!!

  • As a seller/buyer I agreed with everything you said except taking pictures in different environments shows a scam. With my items I would like to get a stock photo for everything, but can't or just dont know how. So I have to take pictures where item fits and looks best. And I can ensure you I am not a scamer. Like I said thanks for the other info it's good to know.

  • how do you do this. I want to know... how you can find out whether they are scammers or not ....

  • i buy electronics and i would always see contact me before bidding, so i would ask questions and no answer, so i simply reported item on teh bottom of the ebay page

  • i got scammed... im 14 and the dicks took my money everything looked perfect and 100% good feedback.. fuckin wankers ...

  • good job my friend, good job. If we can get those suckers name and address wud be better. xcellence FBI works.

  • i remember a seller like this they had all different things and the same exact dont bid unless u contact me first then next thing i know all the sellers items were gone and removed

  • Nice detective work. Excellent I wonder why they have to contact the seller prior to bidding?

  • You will find a lot of people doing this with cars as well. And again, usualy sold in hijacked accounts.

  • god job on this vid

  • That was nice that you let people know. I have seen buyers on People's Court being sued because the the product wasn't what had been described in the listing. The seller always loses..ALWAYS!

  • Thank you, I was a victim of such auction. I mailed a check and the Ebay Seller never sent me the DVD. Also, his ratings were 'Private' and he supposedly lives in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The DVD were about Goldorak, Grendizer or UFO animation.

  • Part 2: Also, I never take paypal, cause that is an even bigger scam. Check out my paypal and ebay videos if you are interested in this :-)

  • Part 1: really god job on this. my ebay account was hacked some time ago and someone was selling bogus classic cars at unreal cheap prices. I traced the path back to a server in france of a really big company. I sent them a certified letter and copies of everything. I was told by a person in the computer industry that the company would, at the very least, destroy all the illegal wares the hacker stored on their server.

  • haha....nice find...did you notify the company? ebay company?

  • my ebay account was hacked. The password was changed by a Nigerian IP(i checked afterwards on a check site) Of course EBAY did not respond to my complaint that they let the password be changed from Nigeria.

  • You should have multiple ebay accounts in case one has "problems." Read my article on IWantCollectibles for more information.

    Terry

  • Don't say that! it's the nigerian people that are ACTUALLY IN NIGERIA that you shouldn't trade with.

  • never ship or buy something from a nigerian member!!!!

  • And thank you for posting.

  • EBAY should be shut down as they fail miserably when you have a problem... they have no way of contacting them and they have no interest in the scams and crime that is now rife on their site.

I have used it for years but after my last bad experience and with no help or interest from either the police or EBAY, I have stopped using the site.... I am sure it will close in the end due to lack of good management.

  • They have OVER 2 million NEW listings a day. Their company has made over 37 BILLION dollars. They have bought MANY OTHER auction sites for millions and will continue to run.

  • That is a very fair comment and I believe you are right... but the problem still exists

  • that was very informative. thank you. I one time got an email in my normal, not ebay, account for something that was still open, offering to sell it to me. Actually it was two different ones with the same wording but from different email addresses. I of course reported it to ebay. The funniest thing was, it said that he wanted a safe transaction thru ebay, and I was just like "yeah right". It's a shame that no matter where you go, there are scammers lurking around every corner.

  • they should make commercials and warn people nation or worldwide..

    fuck the scammers....

  • wuts wrong with scamming???

  • You should have titled this "eBay for Dummies". Pretty basic stuff - but still interesting to see examples like this.

  • thank u mate

  • Ebay's honeymoon period is over. Their stocks are falling I believe all courtesy of scammers. Ebay are a profit machine with little concern for their buyers and sellers. Try getting help or commission back on something you sold. The system is deliberately made difficult to access. These scammers are nothing new but invaluable pointers for beginners. Well done

  • I put your video on my website betterbuyersunite info. I think people n
