  • Hes perfect as a bad guy and a good guy.

  • i finally meet scar

  • If you're looking for marshmallows; there are none. It's quite bland, I assure you.

  • This dude's voice is amazing. Seriously, I'm always interested, regardless of what he's talking about.

  • His voice is amazing!

  • He looks like Dominick Dunne. Boy is he aging. But yeah, the voice trumps all.

  • He's so RIGHT!

  • Jeremy Irons will die in our lifetime. ;_;

  • @Reilly444 hey don't say stuff like that T~T

  • He is impossibly eloquent. it's like he barely has to get into character to play the pope lol

  • I have been in profit and nonprofit organizations, who still are "slowly killing themselves" that respond furiously when this is brought to their attention and others to be aware for possible solutions. Recently I spoke to someone who shared flawed information, but for amicable reasons I chose not disprove.

  • All I can hear is evil Scar talking from the Lion King!

  • Amen Jeremy!! He hit the nail on the head about the DAMNED UNIONS which once had a valuable place in this country in reforming employer abuses and labor laws but are now KILLING the country! It is "death by a thousand cuts." NO one can afford to go to even local civic theater shows ! (here in Denver,"theatre companies" charge 60-70 $ for a seat!) Same goes for the ballet, symphony, and especially SPORTING EVENTS! I hope the greedy owners CHOKE on empty seats! Enuf's enuf!

  • i feel bad for those people who paid lots of money to watch that spider man musical thing... over a 100 dollars?

  • Every time I hear his voice all I can picture is Scar from Lion King, it's so creepy.

  • If I had one wish it would be to talk like Jeremy irons (or maybe christopher walken for teh luls)

  • i have 4 letters... D I L F

  • @ashatwt i don't think i've ever agreed with something so wholeheartedly.

  • Not just in Broadway, but in all stage productions in the US, the price is highway robbery! Also, the small plays do not get as much promotion or marketing.

  • I wanna be his Anna Barton <3 (Damage)

  • @ashatwt Oh you have no idea. Oh, my! Yes. And when I was about 14 I wanted to be his Dolores Haze.

  • @ BadGirlOfAutism

You wish Jeremy was your dad? What a WASTE would that be! Jeremy is one of those men out there that were meant to be a woman´s LOVER - not a woman`s dad...!

  • @alma1980sommerregen Her choice, her wish, her fantasy, let her be.

  • I wish Mr Irons was my dad.

  • I don't see anything particularly attractive in him. I love Anthony Andrews more.

  • I don't see anything particularly attractive in him. I live Anthony Andrews more.

  • Would someone please tell this guy to stop being so damn awesome? Can`t bear it anymore...

  • he played Brom in Eragon! didnt he?

  • Oh God! Can he be the voice of God or something? Scar is just not enough ><

  • What is needed is to de-gentrify broadway. Make the tickets cheaper and/or offer substantial student discounts.

  • Brilliant man and I think he absolutely hits the nail on the head as far as broadway is concerned!

  • Mr, Irons is so right. In Europe, young people get discounts up to the age of 26 (so young families & couples just starting out can nurture their love of the theater, museums, etc. We are shooting ourselves in the foot due to greed. The youth of today cannot afford to come. Theater should stir our inner being -- make us think. Isn't this what art is all about? Oh, and yes, and the remark about Mr. Iron's voice reading something as dusty as the phone book is spot-on as well. ;o)

  • Jeremy Irons is a brilliant actor. He never really got alot of credit for his roles, but think about everything he's done, and it's always been a pillar in the project he was on. His supporting characters have always MADE projects.

  • I LOVED him as Scar!!!!

  • people should listen to this!

  • haha WOW mr. irons is FAR from being talentless. he's brilliant. the rude, stupidity, of some people blows my mind. but i have spoken in a way which is to similar to those who offend me. grow up, whatever your problem is.

  • @FrankClanton

    Not soon enough. Silly luddite.

  • you are a worthless retard and you are going to die alone and miserable

  • why the hell do you hate him?

  • and who did he kill and whe?

also, how are you proving your case by spreading spam on youtube?

  • He killed a man when he was driving too fast.

  • accidents happen

and really, you are not doing anything by spreading spam on the web

  • @FrankClanton I think he's quite sexy.

  • damm his real voice scar lol

  • i want a new movie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i adore his voice!!! i love Scar! haha

    he's amazing! :)

  • I could listen to him read the phone book.

    Love his voice.

  • Yes! It ought to be illegal for someone to speak (and read audiobooks) with such luscious sensuousness. When I listen to his recording of The French Lieutenant's Woman, it almost seems like he takes some kind of sensual pleasure in simply saying the words.

  • @LadyKnight123 Me too.

  • @LadyKnight123 lol

"Adams, Ann. 555-4343" [in that voice]

You are right, it would be divine.

  • Awesome clip! & so true! I saw Jeremy at the National Theatre last year & on Broadway this year. Both nights were great nights out, but the National Theatre had much better prices for seating. It's awesome how they are drawing people into the theatre! It worked on me!!!

  • i give you a AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • OH MY GOD! I never thought it was possible but I love him even more! He's always been so down to earth...I luv him!

  • Great post!

  • AMEN! I love Jeromy Irons, now more than ever. What a great actor! Thanks for the post.

  • can't stand how practically every Broadway show is just some rip off of a movie now a days and nothing original.

  • How true. Nothing wrong with recorded music, but high priced union musicians won't allow it. It should cost 50 bucks to see a play, no more.

  • So. Unions are strangling Broadway just like every other industry they dominate. That makes sense.

And here I was thinking it was all the fault of the gays taking over!

  • he rocks

  • The art world and the entertainment industry are OBNOXIOUS!!!!!!

  • But you love them anyway. That is unless you have no art in your house, on your clothes, don't watch TV, movies, or listen to any music.

  • People who are truly passionate about the arts are usually smart and very knowledgeable about what they love.

  • Well tell that to the majority of my collegues. I am "smart" just for knowing who the hell Jeremy Irons is.

  • Michael Medved put it best in his landmark 1992 book: "Hollwood vs. America". The general thesis, and I guess it goes double for Broadway, is that the "creative" types make movies to please each other and to Hell with us ticket-buying peasants!

  • Right on.

  • Try $150 for the worst seat in the house. Well greed does that to any industry! I hope Broadway wakes up before it dies, cuz I'm not paying even $100 for two hours. At a theatre, I mean. I can get better entertainment at home for free!

  • this guy's comments are right on the money. $120.00 for a ticket.
