The game has a weird bug where the last boss (no matter who he is) difficulty increases if you fail to beat him the first couple of times. Even on easy, if you don't beat the boss without using continues he'll become nearly impossible to beat after the first couple of tries. Go ahead and try it for yourself, If the last boss you're facing is zumbi azul he can even pull out 100% combos on your sorry ass.
