@F0r0o0s0t Well, I know I am going to get into a ton of shit for this, but John Williams has a very distinctive/similar sound to all his scores. I love the stuff he did for E.T and other Spielberg films... now it kind of seems like he's phoning it in. Personally Michael Giacchino now dominates the modern day whimsical score market.

You know what is truly terrible?

The fact that the Titanic theme has over 28 million views and this doesn't.

This honestly deserves more than a few hundred thousand views people- this theme is an icon of the 80s generation. Even thou im from the 90s, I much prefer the classics over modern films.

The point of my rant- Give this theme more views people! It deserves it- much more so than the theme to Titanic.

@Starfox64nintendo we live in the world of image and hype, not content. Most people seem to be unable to just hear the music. James Horner is a fine film composer, John Williams is a total genius beyond words, that's the difference. It's like a giant door to Heaven opens when he conducts one of his pieces. I can't do anything when some people are unable to hear this. They don't know what they are missing.

@Starfox64nintendo The reason Titanic has so many and this doesn't is because that movie didn't scare the child who grew up with the movie. When I watched this when I was younger I was too busy jumping out of my seat at some parts to pay attention to the music or grasp what the movie was truly about. Now when I listen to this stand alone with out the film and watch the film I have a much greater appreciation for the work and emotion that was put into the score and film.

Maybe one of the most prolific. But he copied so much from Puccini, Respighi and other classic composers, that I can't say he is one of the most talented. Ennio Morricone is planets better than John Williams.

I think his theme's to Star Wars and Harry Potter are his best work (Which is kinda ironic considering that he composed all of Speilberg's movies - minus The Colour Purple and Duel - and yet, IMO, his best work came from other places). That said, this theme (And Jaws, Indiana and Jurassic) come pretty damn close to being his best.
