goldfingers my favourite sean connery film, i think the plot was good, great acting, enough tension, memorable villains, women and gadgets, good pace, i'd give it a 10 but glad that its still high up, great review :)
Goldfinger, although it is pretty good wasn't as good as Dr No and From Russia With Love, but it is still a great Bond film so I'll give it 7.5/10. It has one of the most amazing car chases of all time, and the classic Aston Martin DB5.
@MultiUncensored Yes, because EON films are the ONLY ones to EVER make movies out of Bond, and I totally would never think to do some research before undergoing a feature. Also in the year that has passed since i reviewed all of the bond films, no one EVER mistakenly tried to make themselves sound smart by attempting to correct me.
Yeah, Goldfinger is truly one of the best Bond movies ever made. Especially the music is very great. Also, there is some very good acting is this movie. Connery has an great performance here.
I agree with you all the way with your review but I would have given 10 points for Goldfinger.
While it's true that he was dubbed, it's not even close to being true that he couldn't speak english, he spoke english but was dubbed due to his heavy accent. You can hear his actual voice in the official trailer.
Look, NecroVMX, you are not in any way a true Bond fan. You don't really review these movies, you just tell everything that happens, and give spoilers. Also, in all of your video comments, there is always a comment by you saying you're always right. Come on, really? You can't possibly think you're always right, and never wrong. If you grew a brain you could see how immature that is. I am going to make a prediction. You are going to respond to this comment, and say " No, I am right, and always am
OK, NecroVMX, can I just say that you can't take any criticism? I mean, every negative comment here you've argued with. My turn to make a prediction; you'll either reply to this by saying `No, you can't say that` (trying to be clever) or make some smart-arse reply listing some reasons why I'm wrong. Sorry if I OFFENDED you cocky dicks who made this video, but you are just awful, cocky, smarty pants people. PS. TORCHWOOD006 is right.
You are no Bond fan, any TRUE Bond fan would say that GOLDFINGER is the best Bond, the greatest villain, book, and movie. It has everything.
An ionic villain, notable dialogue, you are just letting your own prejudice for... Daltry blind you to what Bond is, and the fact is Goldfinger perfected the film franchise.
This set the bar lets face it to say this movie is any less than a perfect score is pure insanity,
this film has Bond facing against a villain who can quite bluntly out smart him.
EXCUSE ME....NecroVMX, but I am offended at this review. It disgust me to the purest Bond fan in my very soul. For one thing you lack to mention if you have any idea of what Bond is about is that GOLDFINGER is the best Bond film. The Best Bond novel, and the best Bond villain Ever.
I mean how can you give it a 9/10.
That adds insult to injury your opinion about the Bond film is within your rights of speech.
HOWEVER its in my right of speech to say your review is lack luster, and horrid.
@mrfivegold Eh, I find Goldfinger overrated. I give it a 8/10. My main beef is that the pacing is a little off for me, I did not like the actor that played Felix even though he gets into the action which I always like is when Felix gets into the fights and Pussy Galore really is not that memorable other than her name. Still, the plot change was well done.
MY APOLOGIES TO NEKROVMX ABOUT THE WRONG CORRECTION OF GOLDFINGER BEING THE 3rd INSTEAD OF 4th, I NEVER HAD HEARD OF THE PETER LORRE STARRED FILM, NOW I KNOW A BIT MORE ABOUT ONE OF MY ICONS! :D
When Oddjob throws his hat at the statue at the golf club, it shows it whizzing by the statue as it slices it. But then it shows the hat on the ground right by the head of the statue. The hat should be quite a ways away from the statue, NOT right at the foot of it where the head lands.
Also, when Bond kills Oddjob by electrocution, it shows Oddjob as being "held" by the electric current until he dies. I do NOT think that electricity works that way.
You're right about the hat, but wrong about electrocution, it causes all your muscles to constrict, making letting go of what's shocking you virtually impossible.
Yes, "direct current" (DC) does, indeed, hold you. Alternating current, (AC) knocks you away. DC is rarely employed where the public can get at it, as it's exceedingly dangerous.
When the bomb stops at seven seconds, Bond says, "Three more ticks and Mr. Goldfinger would have won the jackpot." In a 1970 showing of the film in a London theater (or theatre???), the bomb counter actually read "003".
there are somthing very hitchcock-ish about this movie. I fucking love it

The Bond film villains often have a German accent, reflecting the prejudices of the day.

No, you're an idiot. Goldfinger is good, but there were a few movies and quite a few more books that were better.
So go ahead and be offended, no one wants to see your tattoo of mickey mouse blowing himself.
