This is the stuff I used to read about in the old Apter magazines (Pro Wrestling Illustrated, etc...) because I didn't have cable TV or any other ability to actually watch.
This is neat. I didn't know there were vids of Moondogs Spike and Spot on here. I work with Moondog Spike(Danny Booker). His brother and wrestling partner Moondog Spot passed away last year. Danny is an OK guy. He keeps us laughing all of the time He looks alot different now. He lost alot of weight and has short gray hair now.....
wow that was cool i was actually at that event, the first wrestling my dad ever tok me to and i remember that match like it was yesterday,oh by the way sheryl crow is from kennett,mo where this fight was,she is a snobby cunt
Whatever happen to Spike, I saw the moondogs in the early 90's and Spot was teaming with Rex. I asked Spot about Spike and he said he didn't wanna talk about it. Anyone know what happened?
i dont know which one is which but one of the moondogs was laney kain... he lived in russell springs kentucky and died about a month ago. i live here in the same county, i use to go to his house and chill with him when i wa a little kid hahaha. we watched old wrestling videos. he was a really good guy
Can the commentator shut up for a moment? Did he have to announce every step each wrestler took? Is he doing the play-by-play for the blind!? There's something to be said for letting the wrestling sometimes speak for itself.
Now, if only he could tell me what's Sheryl Crow's hometown is.
This was posted earlier but the ORIGINAL concession stand brawl was with Lawler and Dundee versus Honky Tonk Man (Wayne Ferris) and Larry Latham back in '79. This was basically just a remake. Check out the original at kinglawler-dot-com .
quite ironic watching this and recalling Lawler's lambasting of ECW. This brawl seems like a template for the typical ECW brawl down to the unique weapons (a broom? who uses a broom?)
This is among the most amazing "Pier Sixers" (to quote the late Gordon Solie) I've ever seen ! THis was "hardcore" before you had to make a big deal about "hardcore," because it was ALL "hardcore!" hahahaha ! ! ! !

I enjoy a good old-school brawl, but I have never seen a concession stand brawl that didn't go 3 or 4 minutes too long.

Moondog Spot/Larry Latham/Larry Booker were all the same guy, weren't they? The Moondogs with Richard Lee used to crack me up.

This was great stuff, and was an obvious template for ECW. This may be the best thing Jeff Jarrett has ever done or ever will do.

They didn't have any production values whatsoever, but be damned if some of the USWA stuff wasn't WAY better than what WWE was doing. . .
