Nobody expected you to know something about some street in another country. :) I wouldn't have know if it wasn't for the fact that I am Danish myself and have been to Istedgade.. ;b but this street is way more known for its inhabitants: drugaddicts and prostitutes. it's kind of like the Red Light District of DK, there are hundreds of erotic shops and gay clubs. So yes, there are parties and drugs in "Istedstreet" :) but maybe not as idyllic as you present it.
it's called ISTEDGADE, which is a city usually partied in with some great techno clubs apparently and the occasional psychedelics and hallucinagens being passed around. sounds like a fairly fun place but i'm pretty sure it's in sweden? i'm pretty sure...that's where he's from right? yeah
anyway, this is one of my favorite songs from The Field.
