  • would have ruined the film....crap skull scene

  • @Photonzos

Yea, I don't understand the over-board fan tendency towards wanting every scene's inclusion without end. This scene was better deleted. I don't know how they could have bothered with the expense of filming it while thinking it was up to snuff.

  • It's raining skulls, hallelujah, it's raining skulls!

  • Am I the only one who laughed because Gimli tried to blow the ghost hands away XD

  • @Omega5partan Then he would become an oathbreaker :P

  • @Omega5partan to keep his oath to the dead. they wanted to be released from the curse.

  • y is there subtitles

  • I love how when Gimli's scared he calls out for Legolas. It's amazing to watch their friendship grow over the course of the book/movie.

  • We fight that was fucking epic who agrees

  • Death by skull.... Tex would be pleased.

  • @DrRedabc hahahaha, i bet a bunch of people have no idea what that means :D

  • @WickedJ133 Care to clarify to us then?

  • XD Gimli - 3. Ghost hands - 0 lol

  • where there any skulls at that scene?

  • what place is that at the end that the pirates destroyed?

  • Why remove such a good scene? :)

  • gimli rofl

  • Of all the deleted scenes from ROTK they should've left this one in along with the scene afterwards where they take the ships with the help of the ghost army. IMO it flows better in the movie. Even without it in there, ROTK is still a masterpiece nonetheless.

  • @timmay270 im kinda glad they took the ship scene out, coz it would have made their attack at minis tirith a little less epic (coz it would have been the 2nd time we would have seen them doing the same thing)

  • @timmay270 wats rotk? ring of the kings? cuz i thought it wuz LOTR

  • @Drainer26 it stands for 'return of the king', the third movie in the trilogy

  • @timmay270 the other scene shouldnt be included cause it would blow up the surprise effect

  • thats alot of dead men xD

  • Obviously the finest moment of Gimli son of Gloin

  • lol, gimli blowing away the ghosts must have been awkward to shoot. the ghosts are all just effects, so imagine some dude just sitting there: "phoof, phoof phoof" flailing his head around blowing the air lmao.

  • why do you insult me?

    Here:

    watch?v=N-UJYBihfxM

    this is my proof.

My god, why can´t we write our comments without insults..JERK !

  • i find most (maybe all of them, i haven't seen all of them yet) of these extended edition clips redundant and cheesy. Good thing they were not in the movie.

  • I would just be screaming "Leeroy Jenkins" if I were them.

  • LMAO gonna luv gimli

  • gimli blows ghosts..

  • 4:12 ... Orlando's eyes are supposed to be blue. FAIL.

  • Comment removed

  • why didnt aragorn use the army of the dead in the last battle?

  • @miamorhardstyle he freed them of their oath and they were freed before the events at the Black Gate

  • @TheEsquivel12 i know that...but why wasnt the oath to rid evil from middle earth? seeming as the army of the dead abandoned the war at mordor to begin with

  • thats alot of skulls holy shit lol

  • speak fucking english

  • @MrPilleMcCoy i think it's just CGI

  • The reasons why lots of good scenes from LOTR are only in the extended edition like this scene and the scene with Sarumon in ROTK is to make you go and BUY the extended edition so they can make more money

  • @elcap22 No, it's because they're silly. The scenes that is.

  • @elcap22 no its because the movies couldnt be 4 hours long in cinemas u fucking retard

  • @mhammer1777 4 hours ain't that long, they have shown 4 hour long movies in cinemas before, also why did they bother show the theatrical versions on dvd, why not jsut release the full versions, who wants the theatrical version when you can just have the complete version?

  • @elcap22 the dvds were a marketing scheme....sell the theatricals first so fans can have them as soon as possible then release extended editions and advertise them heavily "as the real movie" to suck people into buying those aswell

  • Gimli is the best! Why it isn't in movie? Ti is a great scene!

  • @tizeltime08 Yea love that game

  • @ 4:00 wow that was in the Return of the King video game and i never knew what it was from...that makes sense

  • That Would have been a great scene to explain how they got in the ship in the first place :P

  • HAHAHA Gimli is so freaked out in the beginning

  • i dont care if the movie went from like 3 something hours to 4 and a half, this shoulda been in there its hilarious!!!

  • ,,We Fight :D" YEEEEE

  • hahahaha gimli makes me chuckle

  • It would've been funnier if Aragorn was the one blowing away the ghosts.

  • Gimli looks as if he is gonna faint... poor Gimli... blowing away the ghosts and running out of breath...

  • Can someone explain what Aragon is griefing when he sees the ships?

  • @MisterLollercaust When he saw the ships he thought he had failed to recruit the ghosts and realized the enemy was getting reinforcements beyond what they were expecting. Bad stuff.

  • @undri Ah, I see now. Thanks! :)

  • elvish subtitles.

  • 24 people didnt fight

  • lmao. I love is when Gimli tries to blow away the ghost. :) Made my day.

  • a pity that the scenes are edited out in the film

  • At 1:31 it looks like Gimili stepped in dog crap XD

  • Comment removed

  • this just made Gimli one of my favorites haha

  • why is aragorn sad at 4:00 ?

  • @sachavanmil The ships coming from the sea were sent to help Sauron and would have killed off the good army if they had made it. That's why you see that ship scene near the end of the third movie

  • @sachavanmil because the ships carried an army of corsairs from umbar......if allowed to take the field they would have slaughtered rohan and minas tirith would have fallen

  • @WhyBeAStranger For some reason, I'd still bet that the last remaining Rohirrim under Eomer, could still have held the field, with the Gondorians in support. I don't see what the big thing over these few ships is. Couldn't be more than a few thousand pirates VS the thousands of Rohirrim and Gondorians still standing. Of course, the Rohirrim would be exhausted after fighting all day in the sun in heavy armour, dodging tusks of mumakil and killing much of the Orc and Easterling armies, but still.

  • @ThePalaeontologist actually no the rohirrim took massive casualties during the haradrim charge.....not to mention the rohirrim were outnumbered 3-1 by the only the haradrim ...as well as the charge putting both eowyn and theoden out of commission....as well as them not getting any gondorian support because they had massacred the orcs that were STILL on the field there were still tens of thousands in the city itself....and a few thousand corsairs probably would have been enough to take rohan out

  • @WhyBeAStranger I see your point, but you see, I have read the books too. The Rohirrim only lost about 2000 men in the book. The film implies a death toll much higher, with maybe less than a 1/6 able to go to the Black Gates later. Also, the film omits the part of the Knights of Dol Amroth under Prince Imrahil, that were there till the end of the war. And in the book, the Minas Tirith Gondorians reclaim the city and charge out as the Rohirrim drive the enemy from the gate. Eomer and Imrahil...

  • @ThePalaeontologist also i didnt get these messages :P

  • @WhyBeAStranger .pretty much had it wrapped up, ish, but along with the rest of the soldiers with them in despair to see the Corsair Ships coming up the river. In fact, almost all of the Orcs that managed to flee back to Mordor, drowned in the Anduin, and even these were only saved because the 2nd Best Nazgul Khamul, with the Orc Chieftain Gothmog, performed a stubborn holding action with just 1000 heavily armed Easterlings. These were killed to the last, but it bought time for the rest to flee.

  • @WhyBeAStranger Oh and as for the Black Serpent Cavalry Charge (which they so should have made abd put in the films, even if just in the extended edition) of 18,000, the Rohirrim barely took notice of them! They slaughtered most of the Haradrim Cavalry and King Theoden personally slew their unnamed leader and their banner bearer also. Lets face it, the Rohirrim just wiped them out through sheer quality of horsemanship (I wonder why lol)

  • @ThePalaeontologist be that as it may after he slew him the witch king took the field and killed theoden with all the mumakil stomping the rohirrim.....meanwhile the gondorians have fallen back to the citadel to deal with the thousands of orcs/trolls overwhelming the city....now about that time rohan lost about 2000 + theoden and eowynn cant fight.....now about id say 18000 haradrim ...they arent southrons btw...2-3000 corsairs...and thousands of orcs.....+ whats still in the city

  • @WhyBeAStranger No, no my fellow Lotr fan. I must correct you here....trust me, I know a lot more than most, mega into all the details. Haradrim ARE Southrons. This is merely the Gondorian term for the men from Harad, Far Harad, Umbar and so on. Its like how the Easterlings regard the men of the west as Westrons. Your numbers are wrong. I am not really a Tolkien purist, but I respect that literally, the book stops with the book! The film was amazing, but do read the book before correcting people

  • @ThePalaeontologist ahh you are right seems i got mistaken again....i have a tendancy to confuse the term southrons with the easterlings for some inexplicable reason.........now i have read the books many many times but and im fairly well versed in most of it now im saying that rohan wouldnt be able to hold the field without the arrival of aragorn the dead .......rohan is still up against a fairly large army with no support exhausted cavalry may not be enough considering their king is dead

  • @WhyBeAStranger No problem mate. Its just I really like the Rohirrim. Its like they are not thanked nearly half as much as they should be for their part in the victory. In the film, they do basically shatter the army, if not utterly defeat it. Not bad for 6,000, swamping an army around 200,000 plus. Eomer does some pretty cool stuff in the books, like forming a shield wall with men of rohan dismounted, preparing to fight to the death. I think they would have won, even if just a few survived it.

  • aww aragorn puppy face

  • aragorn: do not look down... gimli looks rofl

  • @DemonicLionXXX not on that flour rofl ' ing u don't...

  • @MrVeggie247 xD

  • gimili would make a great ghost hunter! :D

    *foo pthooo fooo* XD

  • skull- lanche!!!

  • dang if only this was part of the movie...

  • Does this really happens in the book???

  • they made a thousands of skulls for this and it wasn´t even in the movie.

What a waste of money ..

  • @MrPilleMcCoy it was in the movie, but at the time you had to pay about $80 for the extended edition. you can get the extended version online cheap nowadays.

  • @MrPilleMcCoy It so is! But such a huge budget movie like this, it is nothing.

  • @MrPilleMcCoy they probably reused them or gave them to the cast and crew, I have one from the set of The Mummy ;D

  • @MrPilleMcCoy its computer almost the whole movies backgrounds are computerized cgi just looks that good these days

  • @DeV1LSn0w not in TLOR, they built almost all the sets.

  • @MrPilleMcCoy What part of the scene are you refering too?

  • @MrPilleMcCoy Probably only a couple hundred. The rest was obliviously cgi.

  • @MrPilleMcCoy I'm sure they got most if it back... ;D
