we made a couple of these from bits we found in our garages, one was based on the goped design and the other was chain drive and tbh their both about the same, its all about gear ratios and you can easily change it on both types, fair play to this kid tho coz he has built a nice engine that revs very nicely!

@pikeybear a power band is not a a part...a powerband is created by exhaust gases building up in the exhaust chamber and then all be forced out at once...a powerband for a goped is kind of like a turbo kicking in on a car on a waaaay smaller scale. If you want your goped to have a strong powerband you buy a nice exhaust for it, now last i knew "ADA" made a few nice pipes for it. i bought an off brand of it a few years back still great performance.

less moving parts should mean more dependability but in the case of Patmont Goped they make the moving parts cheap as dirt out of the cheapest material to save money but still price them out of their quality range. i wouldnt even custom build a scooter on a goped frame

both you and keffer are off-based. there is not one piece on the thing that is stock, except the frame which has been extensively modified and the bottom end which now houses a wisco full circle race crank with a forged rod, its watercooled, alcohol powered and does well over 60mph if you can keep the front end down... with electric start. mine doesnt retain the stock motor, it has a 52cc watercooled reed motor that wont even fire up with pump gas, im runnin 118 octane and leaving fire on the street.

if i go WOT at 40mph it will powerwheelie and flip.

it revs over 22g and hits the pipe in about a second flat with no redline seizure like gopeds have at 12g.

Nope, not at all, with a cy23, and a pipe, the acceleration will be awesome "AS-IS", but the .750 will make it SLIGHTLY slower but not enough to where its bogging wen u hit tha throttle, it all depends on what you like, if you want lots of torque and acceleration, sacrificing some top end speed, go with either the .710 or lower, but if you want a perfect mix, i'd go .710, but NO, your acceleration will not be too bad with just the .750, good luck and let me know how it goes! :)

And also, i wouldn't go any bigger than a .750unless your motor is more than 3.5 HP, but if you are using you're ped 4 street cruuzing, and not ALOT of racing, i'd keep the .750

The s1 is a great pipe for looks and performance. I highly recomend it. It also performs great on the cy23rc in my oppinion. As for speed, the pipe is incredible, after my first test ride with it it scared me, the powerbands hit very hard with it. The acceleration was also wayyy better. And I also reccomend you get the .710 spindle because with that engine AND the s1, it is a perfect mix of torque, acceleration, AND top speed. I also saw about a 5mph top speed gain. :)

Probly 25 but go .710 spindle cuz .800 is 2 big 4 that motor. The u will probly go 21-23mph with good acceleration.
