  • Learn the basics of Kali - Search "Latrago Kali"

  • and then he lets go of the stick

  • oh no, they work just not as effective or deadlier then eskrima

  • I used to do this to people. Then i took an arrow in the knee

  • eskrima work very well and any person that has used eskrima or arnis knows that this works unlike arts like jijutsu, akkido, sambo and krav maga which are extreamly overated

  • @copypacercopypacer Jiujitsu and Sambo don't work? You my friend, are a fucking idiot.

  • damn i didn't know the silver surfer was doing eskrima

  • I think that the white guy in this move gets cut under the shoulder.

  • Disarms in kali/escrima are grossly overrated. What did Miyamoto Mushashi teach? "You can learn a thousand techniques, but you win with only one." One of the best training methods is to get foam knives and knife spar with others. You will find that the ability to use spacing, feints and- yes- aggressively attacking your opponent with stabs to the vital organs is much better in real life than looking to "disarm". Just "defang the cobra" with attacks and counterattacks.

  • Grey dude wins again!

  • lol when ima do dis move ima b jerkin hard on the arm

    lol

  • pangilog bisaya means take away

  • by the time he releases the baston (stick) the damage is done

  • LOL.... keep pressing 6 every 2 sec or so

  • the load and force vectors are waaaay off

  • if the opponent release the stick, than the elbow "lock' become elbow "unlock"

  • @aremieroll1990 Yes, but if he releases the stick, he will then be weaponless. And now his attacker will have two weapons.

  • @mrkitanai1 when he releases it, he can shift the attack into an arm lock immobilizing the opponent completely and turning the shoulder dislocated anterior of the opponents body now using the leverage of his all body weight.

  • This technique can shift into an arm lock that can dislocate the shoulders anterior to the opponents body now with the leverage of the whole body weight. this makes the opponent face the ground and ask mercy. You can also utilize this, even without the stick or u can utilize a book for example to catch the opponents first strike.

  • @LCStreetPhotographer you'll be doing me a favor clinching with me, so you better hope you have my blade arm. 'cause you're gonna be cut to pieces.

  • so ein block wuerde nicht gegen einen ucc hamburg man funktionieren...

  • So many of you talk utter rubbish , just do this just do that , in real life .... etc

all these methods have there range in how effective they are , part of the skill is knowing in what context to apply certain and particular moves .

re- evaluation of the immediate present as it happens is a skill that has as much value as any technique .

apply what is use full perfect what is not .

  • press 5 and you will hear by jerking hard with the arm.

  • @crayzeesteve

you may not believe it but there is a bladed weapon version for this attack. Eskrima is also a sword fight.

  • let go of the stick motherfucker! its the only way to escape!

  • personally I don't like this technique, just because traditionally anything you do with sticks should translate to anything done with a machete... besides, check the stick, trap with the live hand and beat the guy

  • not advisable with blades ,:\

  • @crayzeesteve RATAN sticks (:

  • @crayzeesteve Actually, if you properly seize the arm, like is shown here, you could do this with blades. You might get a small cut, but your opponent will be dead.

  • He could easily just cut ur bicep while ur doing this....

  • @SlingShotEllington45 there is a likeliness of a cut the the arm/bicep, but the difference is, its to the arm instead of a vital spot such as the head, neck, or chest. youll find many have their flaws, but all make it safer than before

  • @SlingShotEllington45 it's just a stick...not a sword or a dagger

  • We all fight with swords.

  • @SuPlanu4Ever They arent swords.

  • by jerking hard lolll

  • All what the other guy has to do us let go off the stick..

  • @moodisback which would give you the advantage.

  • @deadlycatthefirst But he might be better off without it in that position :p

  • @moodisback in real life [where it matters] , the person with the weapon ALWAYS has a huge advantage.

  • @deadlycatthefirst in real life , the person with the best defensive skills has the advantage :P

  • @moodisback No, I believe the other guy is right. Generally, most people's defensive skills amount to begging, and running like hell when confronted with a weapon.

  • @FrostyVirgo it make sense cuz maybe he don't want to get hurt too bad or he just don't know how to defend himself from someone who's trying to hit him with a bat for example ;)

  • @moodisback But only if they have sufficient cardio training to bide their time...

  • Some of the comments here definitely goes to show that some people are clueless about certain arts. I train in FMA, and while we practice locks and disarms with sticks, even our instructor tells us that they're pretty much useless in real life. That's why we practice our strikes even more. One mook here even goes so far as to insult FMA and says it's just "pretty" and that he'll muay thai clinch against a knife attacker.. Seriously? U wanna go close quarters against a knife? wtf!! good luck..

  • Here in u.s i never see any street fight hu uses escrima style but in the philippines in cebu almost every street fight uses this style.

  • @reykahana1 hahah! ;)) ur ryt bro! :D

  • @SILVERFlame702 i agree there is no bad martial arts but the truth is every art has its own weaknes and limitations..yup it depends on the person. it is the practitioner prerogative to explore his art & the advantages and disadvantages for him to master the art. ; )

  • or the knee of a muay thai fighter is harder than a ginunting sword...my friend before u degrade our own art do some research..for sure your countries special forces adopt the filipino art of combat fighting.....and i challenged you to post a video that you encounter a eskrimador in real fight before u degrade our art

  • @81nickyboy There is no bad martial arts. Guns do not kill people. People kill people. It all depends on the person using the martial art. Just saying. I'm not trying to troll or flame anyone xD... Nor to oppose both sides of the argument.

  • @81nickyboy what? what the hell is going on? What's this about filipino?

  • @PhunkieProdiG I do not understand what @81nickyboy is talking about, but in FMA (Filipin Martial Arts), like Kali, Arnis and Escrima (which are the different names/styles for our Martial Arts, and which again can be divided into even more styles with a different set of names), we learn how to fight with weapons, against weapons (wether we are unarmed or not) and without weapons (emptyhand/unarmed). We can never be good in kickboxing, muy thai, whatever. But we can always be good FMA's! :D

  • i dont degrade muay thai i i have also small knowledge in muay thai and its good art when it comes to un armed defense...but when it comes to weaponry they are definetly no match to eskrimador...remember in real street fight anything goes..which is which will die..using the concept of eskrima, arnis,or kali any material can be a weapon..like ballpen,a bottle, barbq stick,a simple stone etc..dont tell me the elbow of the muaythai is harder than a kris sword of a moro

  • i have read some comment here and sad to say...some people got mistake about escrima...for a person never had tried eskrima he will say easily its hard to learn..and one gentleman here said he bring eskrima sticks and authorities dont mind it..exctly i also do that here in my country police or authorities dont mind if people bring stick..what dangerous is not the sticks but the skills of the eskrimador..in this world people dont fight in a fair manner..

  • Sticks are good because if u get caught with a knife, u go to jail. I carry Eskrima sticks and Mexican and U.S. police let it go, because its just sticks right, lol.

  • @youngstunna79

Not if you are in California. Ironically, it's the other way around here.

  • useful techniques for baseball bats

  • uhhh... if i had a sword... and i blocked ur sword... id prob;y just disembowl u and leave. not start a wrestling match

  • There is no stick, waves hand !

  • So what happens if the guy lets go of the stick?

  • @ffnovice7 then he has no stick.

  • @copypacercopypacer @argofreak Holy shit this is an awesome technique!

  • @ffnovice7 Then you have two sticks and he has none.

  • @argofreak problem is these techniques never get tested in real life combat situations by most practitioners and EVERY SINGLE demonstration on youtube is exactly that..a demonstration where one guy says..right throw the jab (for example) at me..he then does it semi fast/slow and the other guy counters with a move, which isntimpressive since he knows whats coming. I'll stick to muay thai..where we actually put our training into practice in the ring, therefore preparing us for actual fighting.

  • @LCStreetPhotographer Wait - that helps you with stick fighting how?

  • @argofreak How often do you come up against a guy using a stick or even a baseball bat in a streetfight?

If someone has a knife then Muay thais clinch renders an opponenets weapons ineffective as he demolishes them with heavy knees, not forgetting the opponents head is being bought down sharply as the knee drives up to meet it in the middle.

  • @LCStreetPhotographer you would pull someone in closer to you and not block their arms from moving when they are using a small blade made for killing in close quarters to make it ineffective? You did not think that one through

  • @argofreak dont get me wrong, this Escrima stuff is all very...ya know..pretty to watch, but its too complex containts too much fluff. Muay Thai uses what works, techniques taught are learnt quickly and from there its drilling them home..training training training. Like i said..people are mistaking QUANTITY of moves with QUALITY.

  • i love hyperextending my elbows.

  • this is my favorite move

  • dis is almost a dudo move but wit da sticks.

  • i got to try this
