at 4:44 it looks like you are positioned to move your left knee over his leg and go straight to mount.... if you have to maintain good shoulder pressure and use your left arm to schuck his leg down.

some really really nice details, I've seen this pass many many times, but never with the left leg up like that, very interesting I might have to check this dvd out.

ive seen nick diaz do this once against someone. cant remember which fight. basically goes into half guard and keeps the guys legs apart.

i like this one. it´s a variation of a pass i use all the time.
i like some of the details/differences you explained - gonna try them when rolling.
but it´s funny - my coach always explained us to put the leg up - and his bjj is really oldschool.
