The C's are set for one final stand with the Big 3, and after that there will be BIG time money comming of the books, 2012 free agency awaits us, CELTICS ALL DAY LONG!!!

I'll miss Davis for his contribution in the 2009 and 2010 Playoffs. Hopefully he'll do good in Orlando and anywhere else he goes. Boston got the better end of the deal(no offense Davis). Bass is a much better rebounder and has much better mid-range shots. Celtics bench looking good with Bass, Wilcox, Bradley, Dooling, Moore, Johnson and another Center they brought up from the D-League.

magics screen n roll is really similar to the way celtics play, i like bass replacing baby. he's bigger and more athletic. good outs shooter which will take a bit more attention off of KG.

Happy to see Celts starting to get bigger and more athletic. What a steal for big baby. I like big baby, but he is undersized and not too quick, Bass is an upgrade.

@narazum0 undersized ? if thats the case then bass is undersized to since glen davis is 6'9 and bass is 6'8 which makes glen davis the bigger player i really think its a good trade for both teams i would have went for someone like paul millsapp or maxwell

I don't understand why everyone's so happy they traded Big Baby for this guy. The Celtics got even older... Boston needed size, Bass isn't much of a post player. I just don't think this trade was very smart.

@jayflysociety101 I don't agree that Brandon Bass is tougher, a lot of people forget his contribution during the 2010 playoff run, but I do think they should've got something for him instead of nothing. I think they should've tried to get a Center though. Thats a much bigger need than a big man that shoots mid range shots. They already have enough of those (Jeff Green, Jermaine O'Neal, Troy Murphy). I think Danny Ainge's last few choices have been terrible.

@ThePaulocastor Yeah, maybe. Green is probably a priority to sign because Pierce needs a backup. Yeah, Jermaine's a Center, but he still shoots mid-range shots. Troy Murphy didn't play much anyway. But that wasn't the point. They needed a post man, not another shooter.

@ThePaulocastor but we did get wilcox 6-10 and stiemsma 6-11 i think thats a reasonable amount of size. you have to consider that the team is building towards rondo now and celts cant have too much size inside because they mostly run off rondo's penetration game with consideration that he has no jumpshot. i think ainge's outlook is to create an athletic healthy decent sized squat to take the load off the big 3.
