Does the MTH factory ABA set have smoke units in both A units? For some reason everyone of the sets I see for sale only says that the powered A unit has the smoke unit but in this video it looks like there is smoke from both A units.
The stainless grills come that way. They are supposed to be late-phase F3's which are nearly identical to F7s. The PRR classified F3s & F7s the same anyway.
Did MTH make different versions of this set without the stainless grills? Some stock photos of the sets for sale dont show the metal grills. Or do they all come with them? I definately am trying to find the set exactly like this one.
Why do all O scale F units that I have found such as these MTH ones all have the lower part of the nose piece seperate from the rest of the body and turn with the trucks/wheels?
On the real engines and other scale trains the full nose / front is all part of the body and just the couplers turn with the trucks/wheels.
This is something I cant seem to find an answer for, if anyone knows please post a response.
Great to see the smoke coming out of those diesels. *****.

What sort of options are there for controllers for these Protosound MTH sets to activate all the sounds?

Do they come with the stainless grills or are they custom painted?

Great vid, but I had a question.

I'm not sure, but I'll wager it has something to do with negotiating sharper curves.

I'm assuming the trucks/wheels AND couplers move to facilitate going around sharp curves.

Nice reverb on that horn. Hard to tell if it's a Leslie AA2 honker or a WABCO E2 honker.
