  • a bit of George Harrison there!

  • Wonderful musician! They don't come any better 'n that!

Impressive list of artists who've chosen to work with him - no slouches ... and he's been their choice.

  • who cares about John mayer..robbie has played with paul mccartney !!

  • @wendel88

who cares about paul, robbie has played with mark hollis lol (no offense intended)

  • John Mayer, John Mayer, John Mayer, John Mayer People this video is about Robbie Not John we all know he tours with Mayer but if i want to talk about Mayer I'd go to a Mayer video.

  • @alittleinbetween kinda contradicted yourself there by mentioning the douchebags name 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 TIMES!!!

  • I still think his finest hour was in the Pretenders when he covered for Jimmy Scott after his terrible death in June 1982.

Chrissy Hynde called in Robbie to play lead guitar, probably the only man to match the way Jimmy played especially in "up the neck". He stayed from 1983-87 and did the "Learning to crawl" album as well as the word tour, his guitar work was truley outstanding.

    Cheers.

  • John Mayer works with some talented people!

  • John Mayer- Assassin (Music Video) Up On Youtube!

  • Robbie is a great guy, and a fantastic talent, he helped my Mum chooses my first guitar, (I was about 30!) and I am pretty sure I am right in saying Oh Judy is about her.......

  • Beautiful songggggg!!!

  • Robbie is such a talented musician. Love the Pretenders. Love his album "Emotional Bends". Have seen him twice on tour with John Mayer. Completely spellbinding to watch him and John duel guitars on stage together.

  • Don't forget John Mayer in the description!

  • I love his work so much! His albums "Emotional Bends" and "Unsung" are two of my all-time favorite albums ever.

  • Love you Robbie ! Hope to see you soon ! Love your voice on this great song !!!!

  • Robbie is one of those steadfast, brilliant musicians who have helped to hold up the UK music scene over many years. Just love his guitar work on Tears For Fears 'Seeds Of Love' album. Hey - out with MaCartney one night - and some pub in Worcester Park, South London the next.... A true sideman with a soul and style of his own... Gawd bless yer Robbie.. When you next playing down The Hermit, Brentwood? (That's Brentwood,Essex, UK - not Hollywood, USA..)

  • do u got any photos of his set playing with John mayer?

  • Brilliant guitar player, just love him

  • Saw him in 1987 with the Pretenders and he was amazing. His lead on "Time the Avenger," was so phookin' out of this world...so underrated but absolutely pure class! Love you Robbie!

  • he also played with John Mayer.......

  • The best guitarrist paul mccartney ever had I think. Hello Robbie from Argentina. Wish you could come again with paul

  • " Robbie is married with four children (...)

    and lives in Dorset. "

    well,well grammarschool...

  • Didn't know he could sing that good !! Love him since "The WINGS" with Sir Paul McCartney !

  • It's Wings not THE Wings and he never played in Wings...

  • Absolutely beautiful song and who knew he had such a great voice? Saw Robbie play in 1987 with Pretenders in Tucson, AZ...his guitar playing was top gear! Glad to know he's still got it....come to Portland Oregon, Robbie!

  • his better song is robbie`s bit

  • i saw him play with john mayer in bloomington, illinois and he was amazing

  • i like you robbie mcIntosh, hello from California.

  • I live in Weymouth where Robbie lives and when he's not touring he has a local band called the steamer ducks. I can see him play for the price of a pint and as a guitar player myself I've learnt so much from him. His slide playing is sublime he's probably the most complete guitar player I've ever seen. Sure there are better players of different genres but this guy can do it all which is why he's the sideman of choice for so many big stars. Cheers Robbie, love your stuff man.

  • That's Mark Feltham at the harmonica. He has a few appearances in Oasis records and did the whole MTV Unplugged with the band back in 1996 and toured with them for the album (What's the Story) Morning Glory?.

Robbie is hands down one of the greatest "classic" guitarists there are. I adore all of his guitar work with Paul McCartney. Simply amazing with such an edge to his playing it's out of this world. Great musician!

  • pleasing song

  • robbie maccintosh el mejor guitarrista de todos los que tocaron con paul tras george harrison

  • Absolutamente de acuerdo!

  • I love this album....play it a lot....beautiful song....Robbie has an acoustic album too, solo I thinnk....Need another album Robbie...

  • robbie is such a great musician. when I was ten I learned to play 'thanks chet' from the 'off the ground' tour video, but until four days ago I did not know how the song was called. Now that I know I'm gonna buy the Unsung album as soon as I can!

robbie, come to barcelona someday, and if you come to spain to visit Luz, ask her about Lídia Pujol and her band's new guitarist ;-)

  • great sound!! Best guittarist paul ever had!

  • Robbie is the Dogs Bollocks!

    ( ... that's another £5 you owe me.... )

    Lewis

  • Very Good!

  • I was lucky to see him live and have him for a quick shake-hands 3 years ago. He was in the Macca-band when I started playing the guitar around 1989. He's still my favourite guitarist and biggest influence.

Great lineup here with Paul Beavis on drums and Melvyn Duffy on pedal steel. Thank you for sharing your video, Andy!

  • i met robbie mcintosh and im in a band with his son

  • Love Robbie McIntosh! Learned of him through Paul McCartney, still hoping to see a solo show. Great vid, thanks for sharing!

  • First saw Robbie in 1980 with 'Night' and Chris Thompson. Always been my hero - McCartney/Pretenders... sublime!

  • True, he is the best guitarist Paul McCartney has ever played with. I wished that Paul would reunite with his 89-94 band.

  • I had the chance to meet him in person and he is really down to earth.

  • He´s one of my favorites guitar players in the world.

I love his work, important reference to me !

    Great video , thank´s a lot!

  • He is a great guitarplayer. The best guitar player Paul McCartney`s ever played with!

  • Lucky enough to see Robbie & his band on tour. They were great, but not enough people in the audience. Fantastic Harmonica...
