I love how every single person's is different. I personally use Brusher Pike and Calamity Cannon - let's me get in, stab those assholes from a distance, and fire main cannon at long distance. I feel like a ducking and rollin ninja when I use them - great work by the developers, there.

a lot of people argue about which weapons work the best in this game, why not just use what you like? I use pistols with all damage / armor penetration / ricochet shots and the sniper rifle with extra aim speed, reload speed, movement speed, and splash damage (using it like a shotgun in close quarters or getting ranged power shots when I need to) and I can rock it with all 10 tributes evoked. I'm sure plenty of others use completely different setups with success as well.

@WinAFreeAppleIPod I use my beloved Fire Bellows on everything, and I use either the Calamity Cannon or pistols to back it up at range. Doesn't matter WHAT it is, the Bellows are going through it.

Once you unlock the portal special ability, enemies become irrelevant. With five or six of those out on the kids dream, and five idols on, I barely had time to notice an enemy was there before it got shredded. A maxed repeater and hammer took care of anything else that slipped through. I'll have to try Zia's with 10 idols on.

Brusher's pike is my melee weapon of choice (with a convenient ranged attack!). Probably Fang Repeater, Galleon mortor, or Army Carbine as my ranged weapon (All upgraded to max, I managed to finish them all off by my third core in new game plus, farming the 3 dreams with idols on)
