And another question would you use a wool pad or a foam pad for a similar application. I use a high speed dewalt buffer. It is quite bigger than the one you used will it still get the job done?

I'm a Detailer and I find these videos very helpful. But I don't use Adams products. Would the swirl and haze remover be a heavier grit? Or more of a glaze?

@bluesmanreturns I understand where you are coming from. The stuff is expensive depending on your income but for what it can do for maintaining your paint in the long run makes it well worth the price. Especially in resale value. In my 20's, I couldn't afford it. Now it's chump change. My secret? College degree.

The reason 3M changed the setup, was so that those who use their product, will have to purchase more products.

@UtzChips2009 Actually the reason they did it was because the hook portion wears out the fastest and is cheaper to make. The benefit is twofold for the customer: 1. Longer Lasting contact for the pads 2. Lower cost to the consumer.

How would this process be different if you are wet sanding an entire car? Larger block, multiday, larger polishing pads

@hiyukenmusic If you were wet sanding an entire car, I would assume that you would be painting it also. That whole process is totally different from this. What you see in these videos is strictly for removing minor scratches.

Junkman I learned a lot from your videos. First, that's way to much work... I'd rather pay someone to do it, but you enjoy it so it's all good. im not hatin, im just bein skeptical because i swear by my rotary....but i would have to see that in the sun before i believe that you can get sanding marks out *perfectly* with an orbital, foam pads, and swirl remover.

@richiez7 Your skepticism is understandable, especially if you are of the old school family. Things have changed a bunch since you were taught how to do this. It totally depends on the grit paper you use. 2500 and up is fine for the PC.

Only after your arms damn near fall off! I've seen one guy do one little spot on a car and it took him forever. There ain't no amount of money in the world that could get me to do a car that way. You wouldn't even get a quarterpanel out of me that way.

Buy a PC-7424 and be done with it.

to truly remove the swirls you must use a machine
