  • Most likely new military aircraft out for a test run. The governments love to use their new military toys to freak out the people. After all, our taxes pay for all the cool new spy satellites, street cameras, robots and drones and other high tech murder and mayhem machines.

  • i saw these todayt 1,1,2012 (LONDON) about 5 minutes past midnight, there were quiet a lot of them, however they were moving in the direction of the clouds, probably lanterns

  • Everyone should get ready this new years eve. If there is something to capture... it's more likely to appear when they know everyone else is busy partying

  • i guess those comments were a while ago, but in general. lol. good vid :D

  • why do people have to be rude when expressing opinions? 1. why try to change someone's opinion, 2. what makes yours any better? "common knowledge"? please.

  • Hey - just saw these light about 10 mins ago (aroun 9 of them in intervals of two and three) over North London. They look like lanterns or beacons on ballons or something.

  • Chinese Lanterns? It's possible they do seem very popular these days.

  • google galactic federation light ships

  • honestly me and my friend saw exactly the same shit thanx for posting

  • Man it's times like those where you wish you had a jetpack lol ..lets go investigate guys!

  • (continued) The chances of there being life on another planet, indeed hundreds of thousands of other planets are so great as to make it a certainty. However, the amount of space one would have to overcome to arrive on our planet from even the nearest solar system is so unimaginably vast as to render it a near impossibility, even if one is traveling at the speed of light . Worm holes and time travel are improbable possibilities but ones fraught with complications to immense to get into here.

  • SuperMoviepros, it saddens me that the educational standards in this country have fallen so far as to allow you and several other posters to post your comments without apparent embarrassment.

If a microscopic organisim is found on an other planet it is -and I can't believe I have to say this - not an unidentified flying object, or UFO. It would be an extraterrestrial life form. Unless it flew, of course, but now we're just getting into semantics.

  • everyone who dont beileve in ufos are wrong there are 100% chance there can be a microbe on another planet and its still ufos

  • Okay moh fucka no need to fucking call me a nob head. If you didnt like my comment theres a dislike button for a reason. Learn your shit. Cus with that fucked up mind of yours, your not getting anywhere in life. Kay ? Thabks for reading biotch. And btw the dislike button's stilk there go click it dickface.

  • @Kevo3179 i saw a light over chicago too on the night of new years but it was more at 4 AM. I was just about to close my eyes to go to sleep from a crazy night as I noticed a light just floating in the sky. Then in about 15 minutes it was gone. In about a 5 minute course in the middle of me seeing this strange white light it was just moving up and up very slowly and the white light would seem to fade away at times and then it would reappear again. No clouds were over chicago at the time.STRANGE!

  • i saw exactly teh same thing in sweden yesterday and i got it on tape. there were about 15 of those moving round lights in the sky.

  • I saw virtually the same thing over Washington DC last night, new years eve 2011. No explanation. It really creeped me out and even more so to see that there have been the same thing in other parts of the world.

  • Excellent footage. lol @ 0:50. I saw this exact same thing last night and took some pics/video. Dozens of them at one point. Thing is, I have good eyesight, and one passed virtually right over head of me... but there was no lantern or frame of a burning lantern... it was just a floating, glowing ball.

  • I saw the same type of lights in Chicago on 11-11-10 around 7:15 p.m. They were there for about 1 minute and then disappeared behind cloud cover.

  • They are definately chinese laterns..near the end of the video you can see more of them rising up above the buildings...so unless the aliens decided to pop down for a quick bite to eat and then take-off again..=P

  • Ok im starting to get nervous, the lights on the left formed the same pattern in the new york and el paso sightings

  • those were def not lanterns

  • i saw this in Atlanta, GA 4 days ago...no BS.

  • definitely UFO .. trust me .. i know ;D

  • Sorry they are lanterns, I saw them as well.

  • the one i seen was in 2010, this yeah i phone my mum but obviously she didn't believe me, there was no explanation for what they could have been, most unbelievable moment of my life... i had seen one previously on christmas 2008, but it was so high in the sky i thought it must have been a ver slow meteor, just can't explain this it everywere, something serious is going on!!!

  • am the same i caught 8 of them flying over past the rooftop of a house i was across the road from on a walk, they were extremely not lanterns, orange lights some were in groups flying horizontal and then up into the sky on a non-windy night, i caught it on my phone and did, but it doesn't come out as big as i saw them. i was actually so scared!

  • Me and my friends let go 10 of these new years 2010 and this is what they look like when they're far away....calm down, they're not UFO's.

  • i saw them lights as well but somewhere else!! freaky

  • i got same cheek my video

  • Hmm, i saw some of these in the sky where i live at midnight down a darkend diserted road. I know spooky- then i rememberd it was chinese new year at that moment..

  • Um its new years. FIREWORKS DUH!

jk i have no idea what it is :P

  • i witnessed these on new years eve too they were moving in the OPPOSITE direction to the clouds! and they was all fixed in a static "formation" if they were chinese lanterns wud they not be floating about!????

  • I saw this as well, apparantly they were everywhere. They were way to big and bright to be chinese lanterns. I counted 27 of them and I' m sure there was more. I have never seen them before and I am sure the population of chinese people could not have risen that much over the past year where I live.

  • Uhmm actually no they are not chinese lanterns I saw the same thing and it was not that... Im SURE OF IT

It has been on the news and PLUS Sientists' think its UFO too i saw this same thing 2 years ago and it was DEFENITELY Not a Chinese lantern

  • Can you post a news link about this or a link to scientists talking about this? Thanks!

  • @hilachica12 Chinese lanterns nob head

  • I agree they are chinese lanterns, we saw a load new years and didn't know what the hell they were, but sunday night i saw a few in the sky exactly the same, and it was chinese new years...so confirms it really!!

  • No, I'm pretty sure they're Chinese lanterns... When I filmed and posted this video, I knew nothing about floating lanterns, so I didn't know what the hell these were. However, it's wonderful to behold what a little information can do to a whole lot of nonsense. Chinsese lanterns.

  • OH MY GOD!!!

i have thee exact lights captured on video and i live in Birmingham (west midlands)!

    UFO's most definatly!

  • This is really amazing....and furthermore...whats really intresting is the apparent other videos with UFO's on New Years 2010 from other parts of the world....and their all chinese lanterns?..yeah right! It's getting more and more obvious people!

  • And why would chinese lanterns be getting released on the 1st of january when the chinese new year is the 14th of February

  • @Gutaristx ----wow good point!

  • The lights in this video are chinese lanterns.

You might want there to be a more interesting explanation but there isn't one.

  • are you certain? how do these lights keep appearing at random. I didn't know chinese lanterns just turn on randomly when they're airborn

  • @Emm0r They can seem to be appearing at random when a draft blows over the flame causing the brightness to go out for the duration of the draft. Once the draft is gone or shifts, the flame burns bright as before, making the lantern seem to appear out of nowhere. I'm sure you've done this while blowing out birthday candles.

  • was watching in north kent and counted well over 20 of them over a 30 minute period. we though chinese lanterns but they came from 3 different directions and 20nathan07 said, they were too high and lasted far too long.

  • Chinese lanterns

  • duudes me and my buddie were smoking a joint, thought we were tripping but we saw the same exact fucking thing! srry for the cursing to any it offends....im just pretty stoked, and mindboggled to what this could be

  • straight up in tumbler ridge bc canada at 12 am me and my friend were stoned on newyears and saw the lights there were only two and the lights faded away and the object seemed to come closer we locked ourselves in his house and had a weird buzzing noise coming through his window and we all fell asleep but we were both blank as in not dreaming in out state and it felt like 2 hours in a black vision.

  • we saw 2 passing over stoneyburn, west lothian in the centre of scotland, they just dissapeared :O

  • We saw the same also from around loughborough junction area, London. They kept coming and the formation was interesting. Anymore insights let us know. Peacex

  • We were viewing from Loughborough junction area and saw 5 to begin with 2 in frint and then 3 in formation and abiut 3 after that. any ither news on this welcome. thanx darklingone (search youtube)

  • I think they're Chinese lanterns like thomasedwood said, but they seemed pretty far away and much brighter than I think they'd be at that distance but I'm no expert on Chinese lanterns and that's a much better explanation than UFOs.

  • the lanters can't travel that high they burn out to quick to make it that high

  • i saw that too, it has been happening all over the world.

  • Chinese lanterns

  • i saw the same but only saw three orange things when we done the goodluck tradtion and i looked up and thort wtf is that and i asked me bro he if he could see and he could i thort at 1st they was tornado's doin a CAP (combat airpatroll) but to see it from london and im in wolverhampton strange to see it so bright?
