Hi, ill help you sort out your problems.

Changed (in the music settings) the output to 48Hz. Then you will be able to browse and listen to music :P

The glitter is called officially referred to as Fizz, like a cola can fizzing. You can turn it off by selecting classic in the themes section.

Oh and btw, you can get some free dynamic themes from the UK PSN store (wiepout Fury theme, looks pretty cool).
