You really only need 1 7/8" primaries on the GTO if you're going with forced induction, otherwise 1 3/4" are just fine, even for the 404 stroker kit.

This sounds incredible! Question: The Kooks 1-7/8" headers collect to a 3" pipe... so doesn't it defeat the purpose going into a 2.5" stock setup?

Are you asking why I haven't upgraded to a full 3" exhaust, or a different brand of headers?  Sorry, but I'm not sure what you're asking.

I'm wondering why you haven't upgraded to 3" exhaust all the way through... how does having a stock exhaust 2.5" pipe affect the performance on 3" header collectors? Good? Bad? A bit of both?

You should match your header exit with matching tube and mufflers.

It is true that putting the header on with the stock system is better then not however the full ability of the header will not be found until its not restricted.

From nothing but header to matching size pipe system.

Like ricers with a 6" fart can on a 2" pipe is like having no muffler, it does improve but only to not having a muffler.

car sounds really good.... from most of the gto vids ive watched people seem to go with an H pipe, why is that? From what Ive heard ya actually get more horsepower from an X pipe

What heads are on it? Great sound. Is that cam reliable for everyday driving and will the engine still have a good long life?

Texas Speed L92 heads. Yes, it *can* be a reliable cam, but a *****good***** tune is a must.

I'm sure the introduction of the cam shortens the life of the motor, but I have no idea how much. Like any other, it is how you drive and maintain it that counts.  I have over 85,000 miles on the car. Cam was installed at 45,000 miles, and heads installed at 75,000 miles.
