@haildeftone00 in 4.0 which this vid a prelude to mobs were basically stacked less that 20yards away from one another so tanks had to pull back mobs in order to not pull others. take a look at Bastion of twilight. before you could face pull everything it took some nicely placed cc's to get thru the trash mobs at the entrance. you wanted fear glyphed so which ever mob you feared didnt go running into other mobs and pull them with it.

Its a good effort but watching this video as a raiding ove affliction lock..... it nearly made me cry. Glyph of soulswap is a must have and so is unstable affliction and corruption or the insta shadowbolts. You always wanna be using felhunter so you definately want dark arts. And for the rotation you should be getting a shadowbolt out first then your haunt because they give your dots a buff and you should be letting any of your dots fall off or refreshing them to early and also use bane of doom.

@mattsayswaht Orc will probably be a little little bit better for warlock DPS. You get a nice racial passive Command, which gives 5% improved damage with your pet. You also have Blood Fury which is a 2minute CD that increases you spell power (essentially just a boost to your DPS). Races really don't matter for actual damage in the end, whatever you like best

With those two spell i promise you that you will make loads of damage. And again DEMON SOUL PLUS FELHUNTER WILL OUTDAMAGE YOU SUCCB!

I play an affliction warlock, and im a pvper and I see that this vid is more for people that plays pve. But im using the felhunter. Im not saying that felhunter does more damage then the succ, but if u use demon soul your dots( if u have the felhunter up) is going to do 20% more damage which will outdamage the succ in notime. And the felhunter also have a silence spell, but i guess that more for pvp. But in my opinion you SHOULD use the felhunter as affl just for that reason :)

I usually cast a shadow bolt then hit the target with curse before the shadow bolt hits then i cast haunt, unstable aff, corruption, bane of agony, fill with shadow bolt, usually can get 2-3 shadow bolts in without any haste buffs i cast fel flames after my 2nd to last shadow bolt then again right after haunt. My GS is 322 currently and im pulling 9.3k dps without guardian

I don't know what gear you are in so it is hard to compare. I am currently in 333 gear nothing capped same glyphs as you had in the video but a different rotation. I average 8.0-8.5k (9.5-10.5k with guardian out) 11.7k max so far. Guardian when not on CD (bosses only) which adds a lot of DPS (1.5-2k) for those warlocks that do not use them. Rotation=Curse, Haunt, Corruption,Unstable, Bane, Shadow Bolt spam refresh until under 25% drain soul also with Succubus. Dark Intent helps also

I pulled 12.4k on my 84 warlock... I prefer to use this rotation, curse of elements, haunt, unstable afflic, corruption, bane of agony, then spam shadow bolt (with correct talents you can get 15k+ crit with pretty bad gear at 85), use haunt every time it is off CD, and when unstable afflic is about to go down use Fel Flame instead of recasting it because then your dps won't drop, wait for bane of agony to run out b4 reusing it since it does more dmg at end, always spam shadow bolt not drain life

@yalscire Unfortunately I don't know of any way to set up the cooldown for Improved Soul Fire, but the best work around is to just set up the PlayerAura for Improved Soul Fire (the buff). Since the duration of the buff and the cooldown of the talent are identical, it should work most of the time (except in cases where it gets dispelled of course).

Thanks to my touchy IPhone I posted before I was done. Affliction locks using Soulfire and Destro locks using Corruption. Pretty sad stuff honestly. Using Soulfire as affliction will give you a little extra dps out of the gate but you won't sustain it. Put those points into Dark Arts and see what comes out on top at the end of a 5 mins boss encounter. For Destro.. A few thousand points of damage from the weak, unbuffed, unglyphed corruption is nothing compared to the extra damage you would get

Why does everyone seem to think the Succy is better than the Puppy? If you do, your wrong. For starters read the Fel Hunter's ability Shadow Bite and tell me that doesn't scream, "Use me for Affliction!" If that's not enough for the slower ppl out there, the big fancy new spell you got when you dinged 85 (Demon Soul) is pretty much a sign from the blizzard gods to assist the tards in selecting the right pet for the spec.
