My wife and I lost our unborn son this past April... This is one of the songs that have helped bring us healing. (This is the best cover I have seen yet). To all that suffer I would offer this scripture... PSALM 40: 1 I waited patiently for the Lord to help me, and he turned to me and heard my cry. 2 He lifted me out of the pit of despair, out of the mud and the mire. He set my feet on solid ground and steadied me as I walked along.
very nice harmony. might use this version as basis for our presentation of this song at our Hope 4 Haiti fundraising concert on Feb 6. Be more blessed!!!
I was very down, depressed and ready to call it quits, and I heard this song. I am a 100% disabled vet living with chronic and constant pain from injuries in desert storm from 1991. From hearing your voices and the guitar, I am asking God to carry me through with the hope that he will.
Hi friend, thank you for your honesty. I am so grateful God is using this song to minister to you. Words cannot describe how He has used this song in my own life to remind me of His love and sovereignty in all situations.
My life story is nothing like yours but I can tell you my grandpa was a WWII vet and about 5 years ago took his own life after years of post-traumatic stress and pain. I promise you the pain & suffering my family has faced as a result of his decision to end His life against God's will has been far greater than words could ever describe. God must think SO highly of you to believe you can handle such insane challenges. One day my friend, you will not have an ounce of pain left in your body.
Until that day God WILL carry you every step of the way-that is His promise. You are not living this life alone. Your story is powerful & strategically written by a perfect Author. God will use you and your life story to minister to others...how do I know that? He just used you to open my eyes and remind me the world is so much bigger than my own selfishness...praying for ya' bro...*Britt
Thank you so much for the sweet encouragement! It was an honor to get to do this as a fun surprise for my best friend who was doing a year of missions in East Asia this past year. God is so good :)
Besides the gift and annointing that's on each of you, your rendition is unique and pure and true to each of you as musicians. Kudos a dozen times over and glory to God for leading you to love your friend like this.
