Very nice job. I first heard this piece on a rare recording I found by Doc Severinsen, and I've loved it ever since. Any idea where I might be able to get the sheet music for the complete concerto?
You are pretty good, I just have one question for you.. how did you decide on which monette mouthpiece to buy? I've been playing on a giardinelli 7c for years.. It got me through my college years just fine, but I'm interested in buying a monette online and don't know what to choose..
I'm really lucky, because I live about an hour away from the Monette Factory in Portland, OR. I made an appointment with them to try out different mouthpieces, and after trying a few, I decided which one I wanted. The Monette staff is incredibly helpful in getting you on the right mouthpiece. Plus, they might give you a tour of the factory :)
He's a young trumpet player, not that he sounds bad or good, but trumpet players all start from somewhere and all have sounded more or less the same at one point. It's how he handles criticism and his attitude that will tell how far he will go. Criticism can be tough even when a person seems to not know what they are quite saying, but musicians must take it into consideration to see ones point of view or where they are coming from.
I'm rather offended that you would say that I can't play this well. And that is me in the recording. As well as my computer, which I so dearly love. On the other hand, I feel complimented by the fact that you would think it's fake. This must mean that you thought that the piece sounded too difficult to be coming from me. Or you could be referring to the amount of lag between the audio and the video caused by the uncompressed AVI file. Either way, it was definitely real.
what the flip. okay. do you even know this guy??! i personally do and he is everything but a fake. i swear, hes like one of the most talented people i have ever met. i would really shut and not judge ppl i dnt know if i were you. cool?

i'm saying it doesnt match your movments, the sound doesnt match the way you move....so that last part you typed was true....

Um ever heard of the sound being off from the image?

yeah, the audio tends to lag behind the video in uncompressed AVI movies, which is, of course, what my camera records in :(
