I prefer going EWQWER for my skills. Cho's silence is painfully long at upper ranks and E is good for your jungling but Q has nothing to add except damage.

@Farm4Gold You can take anything for quints really, but cho has a hard time being kited if u dont land his q and movment speed can help with that. He already has godlike clearing speed, making that faster with an offensive quint choice seems to be less effective than a utility quint like movespeed.

I don't have a lot of rune pages....

So I have been using my Cho gath lane page, MPen, Armor, MR, MS.

which I used before the jungle change in the Superior path.

Right now I am using the more aggressive path wolfs + blue + wraiths, but still finding I have to go cloth armor 5 pots (then never have to go back to the fountain) or die to blue ... this path is different again how important is the attack speed reds?

Cho gath is my main jungler, 70% of games have no jungler or tank pick 4 :S.

@narvuntien if u start with a regroth pedant+healpot and if u got this rune setup: red:att speed. yellow:armor. blue: att speed. quints: move speed. and 0/21/9 masteries u can make ur jungle path (wolfs-blue-wraiths-wolfs-red-­wraiths) and still have almost full health+lvl4. this is better than armor+5health pots cause u dont really need that armor in your early build. instead u shoud get a philo and boots on your first trip back. in my opinion u need atleast 1 gold per sec item.

- You start with getting 2 Points into Q, what do you think about starting with maxing E?

- If you have a toplaner with an early-level-CC, do you think getting boots level 1 for an early gank may be worthwhile?

- What do you think about going into 0/21/9, taking all MS masteries? His walkspeed is insane if you start with boots

As you said, he is extremely versatile, but I wonder whether my ideas could work out or are completely senseless ^^

-while it's not stonewall's response, you would probably want to max scream(w) first for it's utility, and get q or e depending on their team comp. E would make for a faster jungle speed, but your silence and aoe damage would be lacking.

-If the top laner has early-level-CC then you probably won't need boots for a level 1/2 gank, assuming you have Q.

-going 0/21/9 would make you have around 400 ms with just boots 1, but I'm not sure if it's necessary.

People seem to be ignoring the fact that I used a dead standard rune build for him. You can alter his build as long as you balance the survivability and offense. Watch the versatility of cho gath!!!

@Thunderkleize That's the thing; best is extremely subjective based on style and the transition you're aiming for. A standard build is good for players who want to learn and test out a champion; once they've done that and gotten used to them, then they can just modify from there.

wow, this is definitely a new take on the cho'gath I've been running. I've been doing the "standard" route with him, wolves, blue, etc. I run boots pots and try to counter jungle, but get countered at blue sometimes (without the cc and no protection) so this might be a way to stop it. I'll have to play around. I think I go about 3:50 running standard route with one pot left

@thunderkleize of course there are ways to alter it in order to obtain a faster jungle time but the difference is that you have a much weaker transition into late game and for team fights. you need to keep a strong balance between good jungle time and transitioning

@DaveTehSinner I'm totally confused on what he is demonstrating then. Is this the "best" route then with runes, masteries, and items then? If so, what is the definition of best? I've seen him with champion-jungle combinations that leave him near dead in parts of the jungle. I don't think at 2000+ Elo you would want that. I could always be wrong though.

@Hinkraka because of the added dps from the dot (vorpal spikes applies it aswell). This is the fastest route for cho, not the optimal.
