It seems like his definition for artificial intelligence is any system with an algorithm programmed in. No. A system has artificial intelligence when it is making decisions that the programmer did not. In the same sense that a wheel is not intelligent for being built to roll, a GPS is not intelligent for being built to follow a programmed sequence.

@TheNojVok actaully Scanners are a part of A.I. In order to be self-aware you need senses(sight, touch, smells, ext ext). In order to have artificial self-awareness, then you need artificial senses(scanners).

They still give useful results but higher self aware brains are required for steering towards long term goals.

OMG DO SOME RESEARCH! Artificial intelligence is purely hypothetical! WE HAVE NOT YET INVENTED IT! and we don't even know if we ever will.

You said it yourself, these robots are PROGRAMMED meaning HUMANS PRE-DEFINED WHAT THEY SHOULD DO.... robots don't CHOOSE, they are bound to software!!!!!

And the software might be complex YEAH, but there is a f***ing diference between the complexity in this software and intelligence! i do not hope that the 2300 people who watched your video belive in this

artificial intelligence will replace humanity very soon at this rate. hollywood movies such as the Terminator actually stem from pentagon and deeper documents that plan to wipe out useless humans with artificial intelligence machines. we are already seeing this as machines make so many of our decisions for us. we love it cause we don't have to work as hard, we relax ourselves right into the grave of mass humanity. Robots replace humans entirely in less than a few hundred years.

basically it is not real ai, robots advance in speed in everything but in artifial intelligence. it is really not advanced at this point. see turing test, and study about the same problems they face to make real ai.
