@poolie626 The program is neither, the Young Marines is a Youth Service and Education program for Boys and Girls ages 8 through 18. They attend drills year round after completing a challenging recruit training. Although this is not a recruiting tool, like the ROTC, advancement within the program to the rank of Sgt will provide them with one rank should they choose to join any branch of the US Military. The program is designed to teach discipline, leadership and the drug free lifestyle!
