  • 00:4 <- loool,funny

  • This is an odd commercial...

  • yellow like a banana

    !

  • This is the "Play it Loud Game Boy" ad

  • lol, he has a gameboy in his hair

  • no estaba colgada la gente jajajaja

  • O.K., clear is not color. Black really does seem very colorful either. What weird GB colors. Their battery life wasn't all that great either. Good thing the actual GB Color was released.

  • The battery life is the best of all handheld consoles at a whopping 35 hours. No other handheld console has such a long battery life. I own one myself (one made in 1989), and I change the batteries yearly, and I play it all the time. Bad battery life my arse.

  • Which raises the question, if Sega couldn't make six batteries last long, how did Nintendo make four go on for such a long life? Later, that went down to two batteries, making the Game Boy Color even more incomprehensibly good.

  • That's relatively easy to figure out. The Game Gear was a more powerful system, displayed color, and had a backlight. While always nice to have, these features drained power like nobody's business.

Also, keep in mind that the Gameboy Color was released seven years after the Game Gear and even then it did not have a backlight. Nintendo did not have a backlit portable system until the GBA-SP came out.

They just played it smart and focused on Batteries, Portability, and most importantly, Games.

  • @SoulMaster71 because there was no backlight. that's what uses the most power

  • What are you talking about, the battery lasted so long on the original Game Boy!

  • A wee bit artsy for a Game Boy commercial!

  • I would have loved a green one

  • black is the most common.

  • 0:16 frog humping metal

  • i was so jealous of my brother kenny when he first got it he torchered me not letting me play

  • At last! An old Nintendo of America commercial which is cool!

  • Haha! Get it? Color Game Boys! Good one, Nintendo.

  • Woah phscadelic. I love it Lmao

  • the color edition s of the gameboy,s are rare.but the gameboy pocket editions are easy to find but the white colored gameboypocket is averagely hard to find mmm.

  • 0:17 - was that a frog or something? oh well whatever it was it looked like it was humping the piece of metal

  • lol!!!!!!!!!!!

i think its atually a wind up frog

  • It was a wind-up that walks. Does everything you people see automatically make you think bad stuff? >_>

  • They need to start making commercials like that again.

  • mental

  • ???????????????????

  • I used to have the yellow one :D it was wierd, i was jelouse of my friends having the gray gameboy and they where jelouse of me having the yellow one XD

  • join the dark side lol

  • wat year was this made?

  • These gameboys came out around 1995. They wanted to make it the same as the original grey one, only in different color and better sound.

Though the sale of these was not the best, so only a year later in 1996 they bought out the gameboy pocket.

  • I was expecting something for green ... ?
