Hey. I just got the Omega and I am using an LR cartomizer on it. Are you not supposed to use LR's at 6 volts? because I did that and it tasted soooo gross. What's a good set up to have on the omega at 6 volts
Since Feb 2010, I have spent a little under $500 on Altsmoke PV's. I own Two Silver Bullets, an Omega, a BB and a BB USB-Pass. Everything was in black accept my last order which was the second Silver Bullet. I CAN'T recommend Altsmoke anymore and will probably never order from them again. My original Black SB ended up pitting around the top, it turned white and the black anodized coating started coming off with noticeable pits. (Continued Below)
My BB USB-Pass cord crapped out after a few months of very light use, and I was told by CS I needed to buy a new one as it was normal wear and tear. I treat my stuff like gold and never had a power cord break so easily. My BB is now pitting too, just like the SB but not as bad; then again, I rarely use it which is probably why its not worse. I just ordered some carts and they only sent half the order even though it says status "complete". (Continued Below)
Lastly, the Chrome Silver Bullet I just ordered has a button that "clicks" like its grinding or something, defiantly NOT like the button acts on my Black Silver Bullet which is smooth. It is the same button, but again, when I press it, the button feels like the spring under the button is grinding. Oh I forgot to mention, my BB USB pass had the bottom plug misaligned on a slight angle with a gap on one side. It seems like they have some serious quality control issues, which have gotten worse.
PureSmokers's PV's had to have their buttons recalled and the company sent out replacements to everyone, only to have them not work too which lead to a design change but customers left with bum PV's they wouldn't take back. This was a wide spread issue, not just me.
The only ecig I have not had any problems with is the SuperTManufacturing "Precise". It's the only company I now recommend. Sorry Altsmoke, I told you in comments section of this order ONE shot left, and you blew it.
i got the omega v1.1 silver vain. it has a little play on the switch, but seems half as much as the one in this video. i dropped it so hard that the 510 connection on my carto just about popped off but not a scratch on the mod. i use it all day every day with an 18650 and it works great i love it. my only problem is that its a little to tall for the pockets on my bball shorts and thats only because my choice in carto and drip tip. over all thanks for showing me an awesome product

Please like this so more people can see this and know that the new Omega does NOT have the tarnishing issues the first several Omegas had.
on sat i decided to purchased my Chrome omega in new Phili. oh. while I was visiting my bro who works at alt smokeshop their. Chad came I guess with a new batch of stuff. I was introduced and he adressed to me How the chrome would keep shiny unlike the nickel. I may be mistaken but the head on the new omega is tighter less wobble...wasnt much before... but the two things I needed to know before I pulled the trigger to get one were covered i love it ...

I have been using the Omega for a month or so now. It vapes fine but the thing leaks badly. He talks about the rings catching the liquid, sometime maby but it often runs down the side on me. I only put 3 drops in at a time, the same way I did on my old 510 and it didnt give me problems.
@canibal138 yeah that is the area that tarnishes simply because that is where you hold the PV, the grease and oils from you hand is what makes it tarnish

On a sidenote you was right initially when you said 3rd party, second party would be the guy who brought it from altsmoke and 1st party would be altsmoke themselves. i just bought an omega, and i keep hearing how you should drip about 3 drops. well, for some reason when i drip more than one drop. it seems to burn my throat and have a horable taste. when i drip 1 drop in it seems to be perfect. im using a 510, do you know what i might be doing wrong? or is that normal with the omegas, i just dont understand whats going on. thanks.
Love mine too... I found that Cape Cod cleaning cloths leave a nice protective coating on it and the tarnish does not come back so soon. You can pick them up at your local hardware store. Very very nice PV!
Great review! Like you, I really, really like the performance and form factor of this PV but the fast tarnishing is something I just need to get used to. I should have expected that a nickel finish is gonna end up looking like, well, a nickel :) Chad has hinted that he is going to be offering a black (or different finish) version of the big 'O' soon - can't wait for that!
@camidaddy1 pretty simple, just pop the top of the carto off with a thumbtack. And put the drip tip in i'ts place. I take the tip off to refill the carto , it just makes it easier to refill, you can see the filling better.
heres a question... so if you were at a party and bought an omega off of a guy who bought it off of a guy 2nd party then preceeded to get on a train heading southwest at 60 mph, meanwhile another train was heading northeast at 65 mph and 3 passengers were vaping on SB's and one of them was vaping 3.7, who brought the cups to the party?
hey man big fan here, why is my low res 510 atomizer getting so hot lately? gets hot very fast using a totally wicked tornado battery btw. but dude it gets so damn hot. produces alot of vapor still just gets wicked hot.
Another great review, question for you, I see everyone using drip tips on carto's and don't understand why? also do you remove the rubber ring from in the carto and just drip through the tip?? I don't think this would work with my kr808 carto's as their is a straw going right through the center of the batting so I would have to drip on the sides?

@092275erik lol , i can't make that decision for you. I like them both a whole lot. you just have to decide how big you want your PV, and if you want the switch on the top , or the bottom.
I made a neoprene snuggy for my omega and it has kept my omega looking like new - no scratches and no tarnish. The snuggy also feels great on the omega, I think it would be awesome if altsmoke would produce snuggys and could even have omega or altsmoke on the side :-) I Love my omega and run it at 6v at all times :-)

@mlisnek yeah NEVER use LR at 6v , i'm surprised that your throat is still functioning after that. Get some 3.0ohm attys or cartos to use at 6v

@shaftwarren the problem isn't with your Omega, that has nothing to do with the leakyness of it , the leakyness comes from the atty.
