Hi Lorinda! Really nice tutorial!!! I love your flowers.
My question is though, why do you use glossy accents for GLUE? why not use tacky glue or tombow aqua glue or something like that?
I always thought of glossy accents more as a embellishment highligher, you know putting it on things to make them stand out more (like a small heart on a page or something).
Does the glossy accents work BETTER than other glue for this type of flower because of the mod podge? thanks!! and great tutorial!~Melisa
Hi Melisa, Any kind of glue (even hot glue) should work to assemble the flower layers regardless of the modpodge. But, I prefer to use the glossy accents to attach the bling to the center of the flower because it has a stronger hold. I hope this helps!
Thanks so much for watching and for your sweet comments... I really do appreciate it!
Oh wow, I am so impressed! I cannot wait to start making some of these flowers myself! I have the Bride flowers from Michaels so I'm gonna try those first =)
@sulivel Mod Podge is a waterbased sealer, glue & finish. In my paper flower tutorial I used modpodge to stiffen up the paper so it keeps its shape better... and, yes it can be used on fabric. I have a tutorial on how I stiffen up some burlap to make into flowers - just search for "Burlap Flower Tutorial".
So fun and pretty! So do the dabber tops fit regular acrylic paint bottles? I looked through the comments and couldn't see if someone asked already. Thanks! :)
OMG, I love your flowers. thank you so much for sharing. I'm going to try these flowers. I have some of the punches and dies that you use so I'm going to make some. Thanks, Friday
Hi Friday!!! I'm glad you liked my flowers... I hope to see the ones you make in one of your videos! Thanks for your sweet comment and for subscribing to my channel. lotsa hugs,
Thank you I love this and it is so easy although it looks so complicated. Can you please do a tutorial on the small ones thank you! Have a lovely weekend!
Thank you so much for the video. I have the small punch and one similar to the small daisy like punch. If you have time, would you do a video on the small flowers? It would be a great size. Thanks so much
Hi... I was finally able to do a video on the small flowers... please check out my channel... the daisy flower punch is made the same way! I hope you find my video helpful. Thank you for your comment and for watching my videos.
Ooh pretty. What I love best though is how well you explained every step and how you had every step done ahead of time which allowed you to show the whole process without rushing through so I actually understood everything. That's a pet peeve of mine with some videos. Lol. So you get 5 stars from me. Thanks so much for sharing.
thank you fairdragonarte for your kind words... the time and effort that went into preparing for this tutorial has been well worth it. I'm happy to be able to share this with you ~ thanks too for the 5 stars!
Hi... I was finally able to put up a video on the small flowers using the blue flower punch... please check out my channel... I hope you find the video helpful. Thank you so much for your comment and for watching my videos.
Thank you so much for this. You explain everything in such detail - and that is very helpful. Beautiful flowers and I look forward to your next tutorials. Going out for that mod podge right now...Thanks again and have a great day.
Hi... thank you so much for your comment. I just finished uploading the video on how to make the little flowers using the flower punch... please check out my channel. I hope you find the video helpful. Sorry, it took me a while to get it done! Thanks for watching my videos.
Yay! We finally get to see how you make them! I have another question. Did you make the sequience flowers or did you buy them? and the ribbon that I have on my cover, where did you get that? and last question. Where did you get the flocked paper? I loved loved loved you kit! Thanks!
you're up late... just like me!!! that's why we like owls... we're nocturnal like them!!! LOL. the sequin flowers were sent to me by my sister-in-law from the Philippines; the sequined ribbon I bought at a swap meet about 5 years ago and the flocked paper I bought from Costco maybe 2 years ago. I'm sure you can duplicate the sequin flowers... it just might take a bit of patience because they're very tiny. You're doing a great job on your mini album... keep it up!
you can get he dauber tops at ritzcamera [dot] com and search for Tsukineko Applicator cap - they come in packs of 25
