  • The Imperium-lovers are drinking the Kool-Aid. They're taking the Imperial-sympathetic narrator's SUGGESTION that the Tau MAY have sterilized the humans there, which sounds like simple demonizing propaganda, as fact. Idiot gue'las.

    FOR THE GREATER GOOD!

  • Tau Empire: The good guys of Warhammer 40k. God I love the Tau. XD

  • @thedonoftrek There are no "good guys" in WH40k.

  • @GreenEyedSerb

Well theyre as good as theyre going to get.

  • @VlogsWLawson They just may be the most evil of them all. Think about it.

  • @GreenEyedSerb

    Think about what?

This is the only known bad thing the empire has done and its just speculation.

  • eldar: our songs are like pillers on witch intire words where built

guards: we are going to make eldar raids seem like a leaf falling on water

orcs: we gona make humies gurdboys loka like clowns

Space marins: we are going to make orc invasions look like a snow fight

chaos: we are gona make space marins field trips seem like a fire craker!

necrons: where are going to make chaos holy days seem like a ballon pop

tau: ..... emm for the greater good!

  • Tau ending: Most of the humans are dead, and the remaining ones are repressed.

Any other non-human ending: All of the humans are dead.

The Tau will only make life slightly more miserable for you than the Imperium will. Either way, you'll essentially be a slave. There's a reason why it's called "grimdark."

  • 0:54 Tau Guard xD

  • Fron the Tyranid swarms to the Orks WAAAGH, I hate no other xeno like I hate the Tau.

And I don't even know why, they look so smug and selfrighteous, makes me want to kick their skinny ass.

  • @LookingGlassProject If you can get close enough to their asses before you get blown away by a hail of plasma fire, that is -;D (Tau emoticon)

  • @TheAle89515 you gonna get purged.

  • The funny thing is, even taking this into consideration the Tau are still "good guys".

  • @nightpotato the "Greater Good" is the lie that holds the Tau together. Just as the Emperor is the lie that holds humanity.

Chaos will consume the Imperium, the Tyranid Hivefleets will consume the Tau, and the Necrons will consume... the UNIVERSE.

  • @badpeq Its true, the "Greater Good" is just another lie, and they all seem pretty doomed in the long run. But still until then, if I had to live under any jurisdiction it would totally be the Tau. Even if I was still human!

  • I really like the Tau in Dark Crusade. They offered a chance for IG to surrender and serve the Greater Good :)

  • @PNDRazor they did.. and the IG that surrendered became Tau auxiliaries like the vespid and kroot.. but to those who did not join the "Greater Good" are fed to the kroot..

  • After the Tau have secured the Planet Kronus.. A fleet of the Emperor's Inquistion arrives..

    BAAAAAMMMMM!!!!!! EXTERMINATUS!!!!

so much for the greater good vile xenos..

  • @azuer143 na na na new proto type tau warships with beams that pierce anything just do a 360 in the fleet and everything goes bye bye:) bye bye shitty humans who took way way way longer to progress in technology with there religous zeal

  • @Exzibionperez new prototype warship* arrives to help the Tau that survived the Exterminatus.. then suddenly.. Hive Fleet Kraken's tendril came..

IoM Fleet: Shit.. go to warp speed..

    Tau: We are so fucked!!

  • wicked music in the background :-)

  • It's funny how the Imperium gets away with killing millions of innocents, and the Tau get to repeatedly hear shit talked about them for disciplining a rebellious human population. While the Imperium would've murdered women and children alike without flinching.

  • What does a female Tau look like?

  • @NewGuy2534

Fact is, no-one knows what a female Tau looks like. It really depends on who you ask, as everyone has different ideas.

The most common consensus, and the one I believe in, is that female Tau are physically indistinguishable from male Tau. It's entirely possible that half your Tau fire warriors are female and you don't even know it. :P

  • @IAmTheStig320 I guess with all of that armor, you can hide just about everything and anything.

  • "The task force SENT from the Tau homeworld rEmAiNed!! :D on the planet to secure it..."

  • The XV88 Broadside Battle suit LOOKS SO FUCKING COOL WHEN IT STOMPS!!!

  • @totallynoob96 Fuck yeah

  • @MrBuda200 You seem like you are really into the Emperium

  • What I reckon was a let down, is the the Tau didn't have any Piranhas.

  • @patchhacker Well, you can pick them apart one by one. The Orks are mindless brawlers bent on manslaughter, Humans are fanatics seeking to eliminate aliens. The Chaos warriors don't need any description, the Necrons are soulless drones under the control of bloodthirsty "gods", and the Eldar aren't quite angelic themselves. The Tau don't seek to enslave or kill others. They want to live in relative peace, they believe in freedom of faith, as long as it doesn't involve senseless manslaughter.

  • @HammerHeadHunter1 do you if you can get unlimited units dawn of war soulstorm ???

  • @ILstate7thRegime I haven't played Soulstorm yet, sorry :(. I have no idea.

  • the narrators voice makes me laugh

  • Reeducation? The Tau are communists!

  • WE HAVE SPRED THE GREATHER GOOD!!

  • I don't know if it was really sterilization of if the humans just lost the will to go on after being re-educated.

Even so, at least they where permitted to live out there lives.

  • ooohhh!!! tau is human?

  • @XxxInsurgencexxX Tau are not human. They allow anyone of any race to become a part of their society.....With regulation.

  • tau ate the khorne flakes.

  • @IluvPoker100 Haha, good one! =)

  • @IluvPoker100 Heresy.

  • @PNDRazor WHERES MY FUCKING POWER FINGER!

  • All politics aside, my hat goes off to anyone who got this far in the game playing Tau. Tau had to be the hardest faction to win with in the game. Think about it, your area denial and perimeter defense capabilities are non existant: No Mines, No Turrets. Your vehicles are one hit wonders, they take one hit and you wonder if they are still there, and even the best battlesuits they have get shreded like butter against even the weakest of meelee-rs. And plink-plink weps not much better than others.

  • Chaos rules when u get Ascended eliphas + The Greater Daemon of Khorne with these 2 units i won the whole Tau empire battle

  • The Tau are merely upstarts in the grand scheme of things

  • @bigman100ful Then there is no place for you in the Imperium xeno-lover. All of your kind will be purged.

  • @bigman100ful

    Nope.

    Tau invaded human worlds first.

  • @LordMunchkin Wrong.

"By 742.M41, members of the Tau Water Caste had established trade agreements with Imperial Worlds on the frontier, near the Damocles Gulf, and exchanges of goods and technology were common. Alarmed by this, Inquisitorial investigation of the worlds in question indeed found evidence of Tau activity. The conclusion was that they represented a major threat and Cardinal Esau Gurney of Brimlock called for a Crusade to purge the aliens."

  • Fuck the Tau

  • As bad as this ending is, all the other ones are still worse.

  • Wonderful. Tau need more grimdark anyway.

  • @Ksalald i agree, i play tau and i think they're great. but not because they are good guys. i know theres something evil going on!

  • Ethereal : For the Greater Good !

Ethereal : For the Tau empire !

Ethereal : For the Vespid !

    Ethereal : For the Kroo..

Fire Warrior : ... Come on,shut the fuck up.

  • Comment removed

  • Canon*

  • In answer to a few people's questions about the killing of humans, the Tau do sterilize the human colonists if they refuse to join the Greater Good, which therefore means that Relicand THQ did their homework with this ending, If it was cannon it would make sense

  • 0:52. i see imperial GUWARDS!

  • @S0uluser6 so does the rest of us...

  • @RatkosKorner

I see what you did there :P

  • Tau:natives not communist or nazis you f*** racist

  • oohw so cold go to the fire asshols!

  • the greater good and the third sphere? sounds like hitlers Aryan Nation and the Third Reich

  • Tau: Space Commies

  • Comment removed

  • @13x1x20 The Imperium: Space Nazi's

  • @Boomstik1123

    fitting

  • @Boomstik1123 Tau: Space communists

  • Tau's logic: Need s of the many out way the needs of the few.

Imperium's logic: Think our way or die.

    Which one sounds better?

  • I loved playing as the Tau, especially because of O'Kais. He really is a cool guy and fights for something he really believes in. Instead of being bent on total annihilation and conquest like others, he doesn't like killing and offers everyone a chance or even two to cease fire and join the Greater Good.

Plus, the Tau are the closest thing to the good guys, despite what many others might say.

  • @HammerHeadHunter1 Good guys? They are no less "evil" than anyone else. The Tau simply perform all of their evil with a smile and a poor over-arching tau-ism theme.

  • @HammerHeadHunter1 w0oties for te tau

  • @HammerHeadHunter1

soulstorm is good too, for the greater good

  • @HammerHeadHunter1 Yeah right.... reeaducation and the greater good bullshit hypocritical bastards! All xeno scum who opose the empire will have the same end....death under ceramite power armor boots!!!Burn the heretic. Kill the mutant. Purge the unclean!

  • @MrBuda200 your gue'la emperor is just a corpse in a throne... even the "emperor's finest" can face the power of the fire cast warriors, your empires is dying, and you, gue'la, you think that can stop an more advanced force, more organizated and more motivated army, the humans are motivated by fear and ignorance, the Tau are motivated by The Greater Good!!!

  • @DARVGH1 The Tau are nothing but a joke!Imperial records indicate they dont even pose a threat to the Empirium!(don't judge from the bullshit in the game)Don't make me laught and the so called fire cast is not even worthy of the lowest Imperial Guard! And the Empire can hold against everything even if the skies came rushing down the Sons Of The Emperor would put them back in place even in our darkest hour even then we holded The Emperium will never face the threat of destruction!EMPEROR PROTECTS!

  • @MrBuda200 sure, the gue'la empire will prevail with a dying emperor, a divided organization, the corruption of their own people, the gue'la tyrannical regime is near to the end, the IG is only strong for their numbers, they are cowards fleeing out of the battlefield at the first sign of trouble, a fire warrior has been executed for been a coward? never, they never escape, they fight to the end, not like the "emperor's hammer"

  • @DARVGH1 considering the imperium has lasted for eons against eldrich abominations that feed on emotion (including the legions of demons and post-human monstrosities that serve the foul gods), genocidal football hooligans, the schemes of a race of manipulative bastards (and their evil rapist counterparts). I do not think the tiny tau empire will make a big foothold anytime soon, or that the imperium is going away in the near future.

Also GW, will never advance the plot. That helps too.

  • @DARVGH1 Lol lets see them stick around when Rangar Blackmane's Great Company comes down from the heavens.

  • @jesse6788 A fellow Space Wolf fun at last..... and Ragnar alone would propably be too much 4 them too hundle

  • @DARVGH1 wait... Tau number one tactic is to run. Everyone knows that.

Honor, Courage and bravery have a completely different meaning.

So stop talking like a freaking Emperium when discussing my Tau.

  • @MrBuda200 Sons of the Emperor are chaos.

  • @Krags47 U mean the Thousand sons? Sm (at least in the space wolf omnibus) call the emperor the All Father so what does that make the sm? simple logic

  • @DARVGH1 The Tau are nothing but a foolish and ingnorant species one example is when a Tau planet was under attack from a Tyranid Hive fleet and an enexpected Necron fleet arived suddenly from a nearby moon the Necrons quikly defeated the Tyranids and made planet fall. Your stupid Ethereal called Aun'taniel greated the Necrons as heroes and saints as did the rest of the idiotic Tau they were quikly killed. What do you have to say against that?

  • @jesse6788 First encounter. Didn't realize Necrons were dicks. A very painful learning experience.

  • @jesse6788 why dont u do some more research u peice of sh$#. If knew the history that ur pulling out right now. The Tau never met the necrons, or have seen them. Granted the game shows that the Tau and Nercons have met, but the history states that the tau and them never met before, that is why the Tau welcomed them as heros, not villians.... besides last time i checked IoM has no clue on how to be the nercons either...

  • @CellthePhone Remember the Zeist Campaign? We can do that to your entire fucking empire! Remember this when the Lion wakes up, Leman Russ returns from the Eye of Terror, Roboute Guilliman healed and the Emperor reborn as the Star Child or the Sensei-Emperor the Ethereals shall beg for mercy at their feet.

  • @jesse6788 Not really, because the Tau are not the IoM's biggest worries. Unlike half the other factions, the tau are taking a slow approach on expanding. You forget it took the IoM quite some time to even get that big, yet the tau have almost become more technological advanced than the IoM in less than a few thousand years. What you got to say when the Tau Empire gets another few thousand years? Say good bye to the IoM...

  • They only make the Tau be a bit dickish at the end coz 40k fans said they were too nice for the dark and gloomy setting. I think it spoils it a bit coz it goes againt what they believe, good job it aint canon.

  • Imperial Guard/Space Marines/Sisters of Battle: For the Emperor!

Orks: Came cause they heard there was a fight going on.

Eldar: Trying to destroy Necrons, while protecting their endangered kind.

Chaos: To corrupt all the races of the Universe

Tau: Fighting for a supposed "Greater Good".

Necron: Trying to kill the living.

Dark Eldar: Just evil versions of Eldar.

    Tyranids: Trying to eat everything.

I think that's a good summary. Could be wrong.

  • Tau rule SO FRIGGIN HARD!!! The worst part in the Dark Crusade game, is that on Hard level of campaign it is FUCKING IMPOSSIBLE to defeat the necrons if you are not playing for the Eldar. I personally fucked my whole day trying to defeat them necron assholes...

  • @XFreeStyleZX your just jealous cause necrons own

  • @520necron ? Why the fuck should i be jealous? How does that connect to that it's hard beat them? I personally absolutely agree that they own.

  • ppppppppppppppppppppppppppeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeddddddddddddddddddiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuutttttttttttttttyyyyyyyyyyy

  • HELL YHEA MAN!

  • lol space commies

  • It sounded like someone squeezed his balls at 0:10

  • the Imperials will be back

  • reeducation = get eaten by a large beast ?

  • @usernameulpentruyout learn how to run like hell lol

  • @usernameulpentruyout

Alwaeys works! Tau dint like human reeducation with that purple dinosaur sining so they maked one more effective one

  • @usernameulpentruyout kroots have not prisoners :)

  • @usernameulpentruyout You could think of it as a method of processing former Imperial citizens into something more befitting of the Greater Good.

  • as the old Tau saying goes

if they won't join you, exterminate them

  • I like how the narrator says remained at 0:10

  • fuck greater good

  • @AnnatarToung I would like to see Kais or Farsight be the Shas'O in it too.

  • Wall-E is a Tau.

  • humans are pussies...they always fell uder deemons.....surrender and shit!!!SPACE MARINES ROCK!!!

  • @Lellena94 Spess Mehreens.

  • @StarAether Spahse Mahreens

  • @Lellena94 "Humans suck , they always surrender ! Humans rock!!!" That's what you just said .

Space marines are gene-engineered humans , so get your facts straight.

  • What's hilarious is that despite all of their dickish actions, Tau are still the nicest guys in the 40k universe.

  • @umbrellashotgunman I like the Orks. I just read the 40k-wiki page on them, and they seem to be the most entertaining.

  • @mooseknuckle51 I feel the same way as you; however, there's no denying that the Orks are bloodthirsty brutes. It's just that they're so hilarious that their brutality becomes absolutely charming (especially when compared with every other faction in 40k).

  • @umbrellashotgunman yeah they are the only good guys too^^more about unite races

  • @umbrellashotgunman u mad yourmotherfucker

  • Comment removed

  • @umbrellashotgunman well...depends...i can name 1 spicies wich whould never cause war...even if it was attacked first...and its defenetly not tau...

  • @umbrel of course. because they sound asian. and wise. no offense to other races.

  • @umbrellashotgunman the Space Marines aren't nice?

  • @canucmesucker Depends on the chapter; some are benevolent towards regular humans, while others tend to hold non-Space Marines in contempt. However, the Imperium they serve is authoritarian, intolerant, corrupt, and xenophobic, while the Tau Empire is simply authoritarian, intolerant and (implicitly) corrupt.

  • @umbrellashotgunman Well, by 'nice' i mean protecting the greatest good, the Imperium are corrupt? They always talk about honor and glory for an Emperor, who seems to protect all and stuff. I'm not that deep into the lore, but it doesn't seem so bad. Is it a dictatorship or fascist or something?

  • @canucmesucker By god, I'm not much of a 40K lore fanatic myself, but one of the major themes is that every single faction would be qualify as a villain in a more idealistic setting; the Imperium of Man is basically run by Catholic space nazis who tend to view dissidents, religious heretics, mutants, and aliens as being unworthy of life (granted, some planetary governments are more benevolent, and this intolerance may actually be the only thing preventing mankind's extinction).

  • @umbrellashotgunman Also, I'm honestly wondering if you just trolled me. If so, congrats.

  • I can't stop thinking of GDI whenever I look at Tau >.>

  • this is why a holy waaagh will wipe out the tao

  • @wishwizard its "tau" you moron, its plainly written there, on a side note orks cant even shoot properly so fire warriors could take them down easily and if they do get close then there's the kroot and greter knarloc.

  • @Inquisitorcabal

    Problem is:

For ever Fire Warrior or Guardsman, there's many more Orks, wielding many more guns, and with many more grots and other green stuff.

And killing them only produces more.

That is why the Orks can defeat the Tau/Guard :)

  • @SinerAthin yes but with proper tactics like using the correct infantry with the right vehicles will make short work of any enemy, even orks, try to get the feral leap research for the kroot and have them jump in front of the fire warriors, then let the fire warriors fall back, have skyray's nearby in order to bombard ork when they get too close along with hammerheads and a greater knarloc.

  • @Inquisitorcabal for your information orks dont need to shoot properly they just smash those dumb TAO, because they are not worth spelling correctly in the noggin. For every 1000 orks that fall to 1 tau, eventually the tao and kroot will run out of bullets to the onslaught. It is an impossible for any race bar perhaps the tyranids to prevent orkish rule. They just spore out of the ground a-sexually on any planet and can salvage almost anything from nothing. I laugh at your pathetic comments.

  • @wishwizard you're the one who's pathetic for even trying to pick fights, valhallan guardsmen fare against orks due to their love of burning them and orks cant reproduce if they were burnt by tau plasma fire, try to think first before saying something you idiot.

  • @chaoskhornate666 its humorous you calling me an idiot if your talking about shooting orks. Orks don't reproduce whist getting shot so your argument is totally invalid and beneath even the lowest denomination of life. Why do I even need to think when you seriously could not handle to write a sentence that makes any sense at all. Tau are a tiny tiny population compared to orks. As for guard who are humans, they have to deal with morality, orders and wait 8 months for babies. Orks dont.

  • @wishwizard why do you even keep acting all superior? Why dont you just prove yourself then? The orks dont have many victories, the first siege of perlia will forever serve as the best example as to how many greenskins fell because of one man, and you know what? I think you're only doing this to annoy me. Why?

  • @Inquisitorcabal Im not, and you started it when you posted abusive comments on my account. Also Orks dont have many victories because they fight too much and don't write a lot either. History is made by those who write it and orks dont write they fight.

  • @wishwizard oh, sorry then. Still I think ork's are more of a comic relief though.

  • @Inquisitorcabal of course they are, and I dont even play 40k tabletop I just paint and collect them. I can tell you for a fact that the warhammer universe has been going downhill ever since they took a serious approach to this game. They need to bring back the old spawn of chaos for example which was a toilet with great big hands coming out of it. The Cyboars, Madboys and the good old Tinboyz which were Ork robots of Squat, Marines and Eldar. As for Pc game, all races are fairly balanced.

  • @wishwizard you've got a point although i've been dying to see a titan, and I always didnt like the tau for the following reasons:

    1. join us or die philosophy(the greater good as they call it)

    2.I'm more for IG.

    3.they way too softcore.

  • @Inquisitorcabal I dislike tau because it was simple market strategy to get Asians more into war hammer and they don't even fit properly. I mean look at them they are designed in a way to look like a animae comic. Oh and i have part gook blood inside of me so dont cry out racist lol.

  • @wishwizard I always thought they were based on the chinese though, I usually believed the eldar are more based on japanese, I guess the reason why they dont fit properly was because of their "soft" nature, I mean look at all the other races they prefer to just kill and wage war while the tau are somewhat naive, maybe we should take this discussion elsewhere before the tau fanboys bear down on us.

  • @Inquisitorcabal i thaught japanese for the simple fact they look similar to power rangers or transformers lol.

  • @wishwizard their accents are way too exaggerated to be japanese lol, they seem to be based more on chinese communists, I mean working together for the greater good? Sounds like something mao zhedong would say, still their designs are similiar to anime style exo-suits but their tacics on long range warfare are based on chinese footsoldiers, the japanese prefer getting up close and personal.

  • @Inquisitorcabal would make sense, now that games workshop provides all its loyal customers with cheap asian imports instead of quality white metal figures. Now its only for 1 or 2 hero's per race a shadow of its former glory. You got myth 2 yet? seriously you should try it some time

  • @chaoskhornate666 Oh and nice dummy account noob InquisitorCabal

  • @wishwizard any proof moron?

  • @wishwizard I'm right here coward.

  • @Inquisitorcabal Ironic calling me the coward when your using the dummy account.

  • @Inquisitorcabal I also do some collecting, I've got a baneblade tank, and some other models, I think the only ork I have is a squad of shoota boyz.

  • @wishwizard you're the one who's the pathetic loser blocking me and pretending that you even know about warhammer 40k when in fact your the very same heretical douchebag of a kangaroo who said people who play it have no tactical skills, on a side note why dont you go to malaysia with all the other kangaroo's I heard you guys cant even live in your own country so shut up and get out, say another word and you might as well just embarrass yourself.

  • @Inquisitorcabal dont mind him he's just a douche, how exactly does your strategy work.

  • @chaoskhornate666 glad you ask just get the kroot to cover the fire warriors while they take aim, and if you can give them a greater knarloc to help hold back the enemy, when the enemy is defeated let the kroot have a feast.

  • some how they remind me of the Japanese

  • @GearShotgun ALOT people say that if you play them your wapanese mainly on /tg/ 4chan

  • I LOVE THE FUCKING ROBOT AT 0:29!!!!!

  • @totallynoob96 its the brodside battle sute

  • what would happen if the races of dow make a party where there is only one pizza?

  • In the end it the tau are not above such things like world scale genocide. They are just more subtle about it than the other races

  • There Is A Tau Mod For DOW 2 Retribution Go Google To Find It

  • "Ethereal: It's all about the Greater Good.

    Tau people: The Greater Good!

Guardsman: How can this be for the Greater Good?!

    Tau people: The Greater Good!"

  • @RatkosKorner That's just how the cookie crumbles.

  • @RatkosKorner Do i sense a hot fuzz reference?

  • @RatkosKorner STOP SAYING THAT!

  • @RatkosKorner SHUT IT!!! lol

  • For China To prosper!

  • Thumbs up if you now think Tau are Dicks

  • I don't know why people get so confused over this. Kronus was a Tau world for years before Dark Crusade. In all that time it had a Human majority. When the Imperial forces arrived, most of the Human populace turned against the Tau. Unsurprisingly they were killed or "re-educated" after the war whilst the loyalists lived like before. A combination of mass immigration and cleansing of traitors would alter the demographics to that degree. The Tau sterilise those they cannot trust, not everyone!

  • @Never3rd Meaning anyone who isn't Tau or Kroot, then?

  • I like the Tau most because they arent influenced by the Warp or anything like that as well as they are a very young race who already has some of the most advanced technology of the armies. For example: when you play as tau and defeat the chaos, it says that NONE of the tau soldiers went mad and possessed by the chaos. Thats because they dont dabble in the Warp powers, making it near impossible to control them.

  • Too many focus on the word "good" in the phrase "For Greater Good", and seem to ignore the phrase itself in favor of the word. Shame, that, because all it does is give them the wrong impression. A water caste diplomat will always smile at you, but a fire caste warrior will never hesitate to kill you, should such order be given.

The Tau, however, are a great example of a working, thriving empire. Some corpses left along the way in 40k ain't nothing at all.

  • LOL 0.:50 tau imperial guard.
