  • Unfortunately, Olberman's comments are well done but made irrelevant by current events.

"Iraq has turned very positive and focus is switching to Afganishtan."

"Scotter Libby was not convicted of leaking Plane's identity, only perjury -- Richard Armitage was revealed as the actual source by Novak.

"Bush didn't lie about Iraq, CIA's intelligence had reported Iraq's intention for nuclear weapons and so did ally countries. CIA's Director Tenant resigned over the mistake."

    Sorry Olberman.

  • This was the first of Keith's Special Comment that I'd ever seen; and I saw it live on July 3, 2007. No one puts it better than this man. He rocks.

  • THAT IS A LUDICRIOUS ASSERTION - it took 7 years for 9/11 to occur, unfortunately it would happen with whomever is in office - you are the loyal supporter of King George IV

  • Actually if you would take the time to check, we had been attack several times both 9-11. What happened on 9-11 was the result of years inaction and failure by the Clinton administration. You cannot fight terrorism like you do crime. The potential for death and destruction is too great. You must be proactive.

  • If we weren't there meddling in their affairs in the first place, they wouldn't be here, you bullshit-fed, pseudo-patriotic morons.

  • Nice lie! They would be attacking us regardless.

  • Go to sleep America...Go to sleep.

Go to sleep America YOUR GOVENMEMT IS IN CONTROL!!

Here's Fox News plus X'amount channels of

    Rupert Murdoch drivel.

GO to sleep,,drink some more beer and be distracted

by reruns of American Gladiators, thats it don't

    ask..JUST GO SO SLEEP.

  • katybarthedoor: Sweetie, I was attempting to beat the right-wing nuts to the punch with their tired spin that no one but their loyalist sheeple believe.

  • keith missed the part about gonzale's firing 8 federal prosecutors at Bush's advisement because they did not participate in finding dirt on democrat politicians. good lord how do the republicans not open their eyes?

  • The Bush administration is above corruption in office...Libby would never be part of outing a CIA Agent for revenge on his RNC brother's behalf. In FACT, it was Clinton and the Democrats that are to blame for this mess after all; they are the true subverters of the truth.

    Sincerely,

Dick Cheny & Karl Rove, RNC, NRA, and RICO

  • Surely to God you are not really Dick Cheney and

Karl Rove. If in fact you are then I can only hope that you are in fact not only impeached but are subsequently executed by law after impeachment for your blatant manipulation of the truth. Anyone with instincts and half a pea brain knows who and what you are and what you're responsible for.

  • Remove the cancer!!!

  • IMPEACH

  • the white house says the Clintons are hypocrytes. So does that mean they are both in the wrong by pardoning criminals? Although I did hear from someone that Scooter Libby, Dick Cheney, George W. Bush, were invovled in a corrupt scheme to start an illegal war. Oh, but he what? Bush commuted his buddy Scooter Libby? I guess Scooter Libby must have been involved in a small scandal nothing big, you know, like the Iraq war or anything. Right?

  • James Madison in The Federalist Papers: 'The accumulation of all power, legislative, executive, and judiciary, in the same hands, whether of one, a few, or many, and whether hereditary, self-appointed, or elective, may justly be pronounced the very definition of tyrann y.' " Bush and Company should be tried for tyranny. Nothing is clearer. Keith, Mr. Schneller and Mr. Van Leer would be proud of you.

  • Keith Olberman seemingly has forgotten the 211 presidential pardons Clinton granted in the last 9 weeks in office, and the 121 on his final day of office? Olberman is a windbag. Listening to him wax philosophic about democracy and war makes me puke. I am a US soldier, and don't need some liberal toad eulogizing my service....we are volunteers. So just shut the fuck up and sleep quietly under the blanket of freedom and security provided by better men than yourselves, non serving liberals.

  • Another copy/paster. If you really are a soldier, you know full well that the oath we take is to defend the Constitution, not a President who craps all over it.

Nobody is going to shut up,and by the way,211 is a relatively low number as Presidential pardons go,so you can stop clinging to Clinton now.

  • These lying bastards, the neocon global elite/big business are behind this fascist lying corruption. Watch Money Masters, & Fiat Empire on GOOGLE VIDEO see how deep the rabbit hole is. Time for action is NOW before all our rights are gone. George Orwell's 1984 is here. Watch 911 mysteries, 911 WAS AN INSIDE JOB! just like hitlers reichstad burning. george bush's grandfather helped fund the NAZI's - HITLER IS WEARING A NEW FACE - NAMELY BUSH. Bush = ILLUMINATI,IMPEACH BUSH/CHENEY

  • @4951WEDDEL

you learned how to use a computer? wow. i'm impressed.

  • Hey Obie....this is why no one watches your show. Get a new schick. You complain too much. Life and America ain't that bad.

  • I stand and applaud! This administration is destroying our country. All the lives that were sacrificed in all the wars to keep our country,Of the People, By the People, and For the People..is no longer.....under the helm of this band of criminals our foundation is cracking and we need to take it back from the enemy.... We the People must speak ...NOW!

  • Horray for Keith Olbermanan having the courage to speak out. Our Founding Fathers set up the three branches of goverment so no one branch could weild all the power and become a dictator. Let's restore democracy to our nation

  • Oops,I am thinking maybe Cheney forgot to read the fine print, since he has placed himself in a 4th branch.

  • 4th branch, huh? I guess I missed that comment. Wonder what it's called?

Chenny Branch? Dictobranch? The branch of cause I said so? Little Tin God branch?

Did you notice not one word was said this year about D-Day? or else I just didn't hear it.

  • Hmmmm...I vote for Dictatobranch. Lord knows he is practically a dictator since he has put himself completely above the law.

    Re:D-day,I think you're right;I surely didn't hear anything.

To be fair,I am sure they were just too busy with Paris Hilton to get to it.

  • The only nice thing I can say about Paris is that it got them to shut up about Anna Nichole Smith, who replace Brittany Spears

I've come to the conclusion it's a plot to flood the news so the public is paying attention to what the boys in DC are up to.

    The old misdirect trick.

  • I can't type for crap anymore.......I mean to say "the public is NOT paying attention"

  • wake up amerika!

there's no such thing as "right" and "left" or "liberal" and "conservative" when the international bankers who own the fed buy both sides

america is ruled through elite secret societies

    through SUBVERSION !!!

  • FYI, I am a Marine Corps veteran.

  • I thank you for your service to our nation.

  • In fairness to ckalin90, and not to sound bitter, it's simply that W's pursuit of his agenda, he has alienated many of our former allies. By his continued attacks on the countries in the area he has further motivated the activists. Was Sadam a bad guy and should he have been ousted, yes. But in the process he has offended numerous ethnic and religious groups that now hate Americans more than ever.

  • I understand that, but what would be the alternative?

  • Bush did what had to be done. We could no longer live with any doubt about Saddam's weapons programs. We needed to take the fight to where the terrorists live. We need to stop worrying about how terrorists feel about us and just stick to the business of killing them. Terrorists deserve nothing more than being killed with extreme prejudice.

  • I agree with you. When you kill one person, their relatives then have a reason to hate you. War and killing accomplish nothing. Just misery for the common person.

  • I used to love to travel abroad, but thanks to W, I haven't in several years, because unlike some of his blind followers, I realize that he has moblized terrorists instead of discouraging them by his narrow minded pursuit of his twisted ideology. Thanks to him, Americans are now more hated than ever. Thanks to him, the rich are richer and the poor ignored. I could go on and on, but those that get it, get it. Those that don't blindly follow an idiot down a terrible path.

  • For the record, I don't follow him "blindly". I have disagreed with him many times. But in the the War on terror, I support him 100%.

BTW, How does Bush "mobilize" terrorists?

  • obviously, you are one of those that don't get it, or you would know.

  • Please explain where I don't get it.

  • Some of us get it. Once he had the Patriot Act,he ran amok,or rather,Cheney did,and Bush let him. Rather than "protect" us,he has made us so despised that if and when we get ourselves into even deeper shit,we may well find ourselves with no allies whatsoever.

  • To commute or pardon a person's sentence is a President's Constitutional right. Bill Clinton did it, and his pardons were for murders, not perjury. And Bush didn't even pardon Libby. He did respect the justice system by leaving some large penalties in place... TBC

  • So if Clinton pardons murderers, or lies under oath himself it's okay. But bringing a sentence down to the normal size is some how an impeachable offence. How can a President be impeached for something that's legal? Why should a President and Vice-President resign when they have done nothing wrong?

  • You dont honestly think he paid that fine out of anywhere but his huge defense fund do you? By commuting the sentence prematurely,Bush has also created a legal quagmire that will likely make the probationary punishment that was ordered impossible to impose either.

  • Right on, keith...Right on!!!

  • Knock out for KO. Brilliant Broadcast Journalism. Media Responsibility at its Best! The 4th Estate is not dead. Keith Olbermann's commentary parallels Edward R. Murrow's visceral attack against Senator McCarthy's Communist witch-hunts. Democracy Demands Dissent. KO more than proved himself worthy to use Edward R. Murrow's Signoff Quote, "Good Night, And Good News!" KO brought back my faith in being an American.

  • Keith Olbermann for President!

  • I wonder how long before Olberman gets 'disappeared', or at least "Rather-Gated"..

  • wake up amerika!!!

  • This guy is my new hero

  • Olbermann is right! And there is only ONE prez. candidate who he should vote: Ron Paul! Unforunately, Olberman hasn´t said anything about Paul. I hope he will! Visit my channel for more information! P A U L 2 0 0 8
  • Thank You! Keith You said it all! Brilliant piece.

  • Bush is a clone. He is a copy of a copy of a copy, bred to be dumb & to do the bidding of smarter, more cunning (and evil) individuals. It is widely rumoured his administration will plan another attack (by supposed terrorists, internal militia, or even - believe it or not - fake space aliens) on the American people giving him an excuse to stay in power for yet another illegal, illegitimate term. Do not trust him or Cheney. Chase him out in November 2008 if necessary. Spread the word.

  • Monumental

  • Selfrighteous though he is... I am always in awe of Olbermann and what he has to say. Brilliant.

  • Impeach King George and his men

  • Amazing!

  • Wow! Brought tears to my eyes!!
