I think the biggest thing you did wrong here was either forgot tiles and/or you misplaced tiles. Just learn your tilesets and take some time to learn SMILE. You don't have to rush right into a hack. =)

Could you give me an example of what you mean by misplaced tiles. Just so I understand what I did wrong. Some things were intentional.

But yeah, I'm just going to play with SMILEs mechanics for awhile. If I make a hack I'll probably just start with a one room mini-hack. Then possibly make a full hack late down the line.. but that will be a long time away. I want to learn how to change the tilesets colors, ect.
