Any chance having a clause attached to all patents that they must come to some serious commercial fruition within a period of say 5 years else the patent will lapse? (like buying land and having to build/develop within a certain period). No room for patents to be sat-on ad infinitum.
The only problem is it's hard to sell new patents (That work) at the moment as no one wants to risk it, while the world is having this finance problem.
I mean when you go and invent something, then patent it to be made in other countries.

Yes, selling the fact that you invented something is fine as long as people get to used it. They might even invent something better one day and sell that.
How else do inventors make money?
They have to have some sort of agreement, like a 4-5% payout of manufacturing cost to be paid to the inventor who holds the patent.

imho selling patents should be irrelevant if it where allowed to make whaterver it describes. How can you sell the fact you had na idea?

I would go as far to say they are not only be abused this way but patents where created a pushed for this very purpose.
