  • Col. David Hackworth talked about "perfumed princes" like Petraeus, and strongly criticized the Vietnam War, despite continuing to fight in that war as a duty to America and our soldiers. He then dissed the war on tv for years and sharply criticized the Iraq War.

But I agree, it's PERCEPTION that counts, and Petraeus is considered a HERO by the right wing, so it's a mental conflict for wingnuts to now throw Petraeus under the bus. Will they now call him "Betray-us" like MoveOn stupidly said?

  • By the way, you are the liar. Your heading for this makes a statement which is totally untrue. No one called anyone a liar.

  • No of course, there is a tremendous difference in saying "What he said was not true" and saying "he lied". Tremendous difference, In fact if you look the definition of "Lie"up in the dictionary, you will find it is not even related to saying things that are not true. Good point. I see why you are a conservative.

  • moron, if you don't tell the truth you lie

  • Right. This has to be explained to "conseratards". (Not intending to demean all "conservatives" in the universe, just the vast majority which consistently displays the symptoms of stunted cognitive development)

  • again, moron, you, obamacomma...

lying is not telling the truth

  • LADIES AND GENTLEMEN...I give you ObamaComma...a great example of why this country is going to hell in a handbasket.

The arrogant, elitist mentality of the so-called "Illuminati."

I'd take an uneducated person with common sense, way before an elitist stuffed full of himself, and so prideful of his own accomplishments. One who can define the greatest concepts of the world, yet couldn't understand the simple concept of terrorism.

    Enjoy, Obamabot!

  • but fuck cheney and gitmo

  • SEe, this is the propaganda question. First of all, the "enhanced" interrogation was not policy for all in Club Gitmo. Olberman and the idiot reporter phrase it as such.

Second, Cheney said Club Gitmo detainees were a threat to national security and spoke about the bad choice it would be to bring them inland to spread their rancor in domestic prisons.

And of course Gitmo is a hot button for USA haters. Close Gitmo and they will find another hot button.

  • Gitmo is a violation of our own constitution. It is not a symbol ofr USA haters, it is an element of embarrassment to our allies (as well as patriotic consitiutionally minded Americans)

  • Good point, ObamaComma. Too bad Barack Obama broke his own word that he would close it down within a year. Total BS, like most statements made by the BarryO Administration. Remember when he promised not to appoint lobbyists to his administration? Some of the most powerful people appointed to positions by Obama are lobbyists.

  • Only real remedy one can hope to achieve is the disbarment of the 12 individuals who advised that it was not illegal to break the Geneva Conventions.

and the ultimate would be to hand them over to LA HAgue for processing then Americans can wash their hands of the mess .

that is the minimum response acceptable as a remedy and an assurance that this advice will not be given by legal advisers again.

Failure to do this and the American people will have the guilt on their hands

  • If the Dems don't use this interview to crush Cheney/Limbaugh on the Gitmo/torture issues they should be tortured (figuratively speaking) for lack of political acumen.
