if you listen at 5:12 and 5:23 you can hear the AOS firing back. the technique they use is the double tap. were they tap the trigger twice so if the first bullet misses the second will not.

I was at Napier Girls Performing that day (from napier boys) And it was only scary from lack of information.
Only a couple of schools were in lockdown not Napier itself and the SAS turned up at 4:30.

NEWS isnt really the factual reporting of occurance as it once was. Compare with clips of the BBC broadcast from the Iranian Embassy seige. Statements of fact as to exactly what was seen and heard. None of these 'tactical experts' giving their 5c worth. NEWS now is about money, advertising revenue, and that has generated this different 'take' on what we see on our screens every night.

Was scary shit hearing about this, with my two brothers and mother less than 2 mins walk away, im in auckland but yeah... and I have to be honest I'm guilty of becoming a "tactical expert", ultimately it could have been a lot worse, good on the police and army for minimizing casualties... stupidity could have caused alot more, caution was the word of the day, and people need to stop watching so many movies.

What people need to realise,that bullets dont act like the movies or games.They DO go through quite solid objects.The Mini 14 shoots a .223 that quite happily goes through 10 mm of steel at 100m,and the SLR shoots a 7.62 x51 ,again still used for sniping out to 1000m.

Yes i would much rather the police combat P and the other high priority drugs out there that actualy cause alot of harm. Most people i know who use Marijuana often smoke in discrete locations and 90% never endager anyone elses lives or pose a danger to the public.
But what about the Crack dealers who often gain their customers through marijuana? This whole issue needs debate indeed.

It's my opinion this really wans't over the drug bust... he'd lost his brother to cancer a couple of yrs before and was "Changed" because of it. He had a huge stash of weapons, and had himself been diagnosed with cancer just recently... he would have been at a point where he just didn't care, which makes the worst kind of foe you can encounter, when he doesn't care about human life. Still really glad the police dog was ok!
