  • I love this toy! I am having a hard time finding toys like this...you have such a smart girl!!

  • @kimweisenberger

Yeh it is great, very basic but thats all they need. I got it from Kmart.

  • Her hand/eye coordination is impressive!! Awesome job mommy!

  • @themommybiz thank you very much, i try and give her time to concentrate on the task herself and help her if she is about to get frustrated, giving her just enough difficulty that she can accomplish

  • Lacey is ADORABLE!! And she IS a clever little girl!! I also LOVE wooden toys and have a few here for my grandsons!! I do also have some plastic Crap!! LOL! I was overwhelmed the first time I went looking for toys for the grandkids in a second hand kids store! If I even brushed against a group of toys--SOMETHING went off! My first though was how can babies STAND all this commotion!! Nowadays you need a tupperware container just to hold all the toy BATTERIES!! SAD!

  • Yeh I agree, we are just going for the simple ones now, much easier and quieter.

  • Wow thats a motor skill she shouldnt have yet....very impressive!! She is so smart.

  • She's going great guns i know

  • You look fantastic! I had terrible sciatica when pregnant, and I found my osteopath was a big help. The osteo I was seeing at the clinic moved back to Melbourne and I can highly recommend him. If you want I can find out his phone number. I find osteopath's are much better than chiropracters and it's been a big help to me. They also taught me exercises to relieve the sciatic pain.

  • Thanks, I've never seen an opteopath before. I'll see how I go, I have good days and bad days, well really depending on how tough Lacey has been re: me having to hold her so she doesn't throw herself out of the carseat.

  • OMG! Lacey is so cute and a smart girl =)

  • Thanks...i think so too :)

  • Her chatting is just adorable! She has changed so much since your last vids :)

I agree with you about all that crazy plastic noisy stuff for kids - I think it makes a bit of a spectacle of them (we ended up with some from gifts).

I prefer to give my little boy just blocks and books or just play with him or go out for a walk. He prefers company and attention above any silly toys!

  • Yeh I agree but it is hard when you have been givent hem as gifts, you sort of have to keep them.

She prefers the basic toys (books are her favorite) above anything that lights up and makes noises.

  • so cute!! Jayden would love this. Where did you get it? Jayden has a wooden toy that you hammer down little pegs that he likes really well. I love wooden toys like puzzles, and blocks and things except they are SO hard to find here in the U.S!! So Jayden does have a bunch of light up toys that he plays with has well.

  • I got it from Kmart for $5, cheap and educational. It is hard here too but there are a few things. I'll have to make a video of the toys Lacey has, she has wooden puzzles and a hammer thing too and a shape sort thing too.

  • well I'll have to look there and see if I can find it : ) It would be great for you to make a video of Lacey's toys!!

  • I have definatley put it on the list, hey, I saw the first bit of your cloth nappy video, very CUTE nappy, let me know if you have an questions about anything as we use cloth nappies too (have since birth, well, you would know that)

  • yes we are still in the experimentation stage of cloth diapers lol. I'm hoping to switch over completely. So far it's going pretty well. Did you make all of Lacey's nappies? What kind do you use?? ....... I made a special trip out to 2 different kmarts looking for that peg toy/game. But I couldn't find one! : ( I even checked a few other stores and still nothing! Maybe I can order it online from somewhere....

  • I looked in the local Kmart here and couldn't see them, as we bought ours from kmart in QLD but if I see one, do you want me to buy it and send it to you?

  • Yes that would be WONDERFUL if I can't find one anywhere else! What exactly is it called? I'll try to look it up on the Kmart website first to see if I can order it online.

  • I don't know its name, I threw out the packaging when I got it. Well, if I find one I'll buy it anyway as it'd be a good gift for someone if you already find one :)

  • ok sounds good! : )

  • she is so gorgeous =)

  • Thank you, I think so too :)

  • what you said about the light up toys is so true! Children managed perfectly well when those games didn't exist, all they do is cram their brains with pointless ness. THey need games like this. Well done!!!

  • Thank you, yes I have been reading a few things on Montessori education and it says the same thing. Just like the TV, I limit it now to only about 30 mins a day.

  • She's so chatty! What a precious little girl!!!

  • Yes, she definatley takes after her Dad, he likes to talk too.

  • I just love her little voice, its so adorable!

  • I love it too, it just makes me smile

  • Clever girl! This is a good reminder to stick with the simple wooden toys because what you said is so true! :)

  • Thanks, yes I believe she isn't missing out on anything by not having the battery operated things

  • I love how she's talking to it the whole time - adorable! What a smart girl. :)

  • Yeh, she talks away when we are in the car too.
