WOW!! I am stunned & astounded at the number of citizens in our community that buy into the whole "To Serve and Protect" rhetoric. That may have been the case when I was a young girl, but to be a cop today is nothing more than joining a "Good Ole Boys/Girls Club". A few benefits it's members are fortunate to enjoy include abusing arms & title w/o accountability, a license to kill, and being exempt from the law. Those of you commenting in their support must either be cops or uninformed lemmings.

got it thanks, I sued Denver for arresting me illegally, I was protecting my property and held an assailant at gun point until they arrived, they charged me with felony menacing with a deadly weapon, too bad a federal court did not quite see it that way, had 3 pigs suspended w/o pay for 10 days, the other is on permanent paid leave pending federal investigation of consttutional rights, boy I loved every penny, I was making 10,000.00 per hour in jail.

Poor training being the key point from this Press Democrat article. When we encountered this officer, he was not aware of what is essentially the most basic codes of conduct requiring Santa Rosa Police to identify themselves by both name and badge number upon request.

We still feel that it is very important that public, whom they are meant to serve, have reasonable access to their identity since Copley 2006 shielded that info.
