Those players in USAs team where mainly young, but they still owned Canada, and Finland in many parts. Unfortunately they lost to Canada, because they should have win - thats my opinnion.
But that USAs team had so much of young -25 year old players, that just says that when theese boys little grow up as players they will be good as hell.

The teams are evenly matched. All I asked is that the Russian referees didnt call 206 minutes of penalties. This time, the7 called about 20 minutes of penalties and the Swedish video official didnt cheat to make Europeans proud if him. Finns win fairly. No Problem.
Both teams are very good and considered Top 7 in the world (Canada, Russia Finland, Sweden, Slovakia, USA, Czech Republic). Both are full of NHL players. The Finns have more exprience in International game and it showed. The young US team played very well against a good Finnish squad. They never quit and have tons of speed. I like what I see from these kids and the fact that the top two picks in the NHL draft last year were Americans bodes well for the future of USA hockey. Good luck, Finland.

Those players in USAs team where mainly young, but they still owned Canada, and Finland in many parts. Unfortunately they lost to Canada, because they should have win - thats my opinnion.
But that USAs team had so much of young -25 year old players, that just says that when theese boys little grow up as players they will be good as hell.

Its over dude. Yes it was a bad call but it didnt change anything in the end. Finland earned the right to play canada with this win, lost, then beat the USA fair and square in the 2nd game. They lost to Russia today, 4-0. Canada-Russia should be a great one.

I dont care about the outcome of this game. All I said is that I thought the call in Game 1 was politically motivated and I still do. Apparently, someone else thought it smelled fishy too because the guy got fired for it. (I realize smelling like fish is considered a good thing in Finland but roll with me here.) And I thought the Russians calling 206 PIM was also a well designed statement that NHL players will be penalized unless they play the game the way the Russians play it.

The teams are evenly matched. All I asked is that the Russian referees didnt call 206 minutes of penalties. This time, the7 called about 20 minutes of penalties and the Swedish video official didnt cheat to make Europeans proud if him. Finns win fairly. No Problem.

Both teams are very good and considered Top 7 in the world (Canada, Russia Finland, Sweden, Slovakia, USA, Czech Republic). Both are full of NHL players. The Finns have more exprience in International game and it showed. The young US team played very well against a good Finnish squad. They never quit and have tons of speed. I like what I see from these kids and the fact that the top two picks in the NHL draft last year were Americans bodes well for the future of USA hockey. Good luck, Finland.

Seriously? Ask any Brit or German or even Brazilian why they are getting sick of soccer. Its because there is too much faking of injury. The Italian team is very talented but it is WIDELY known (outside of Finland only, apprently) that they fake, flop, and dive. Look up the video called Italian Training. This is funny and there is truth to it. Again, my calling it a "woman's sport" is not an insult. Women play it here more than men do. Thats true whether you think its insulting ot not.

You are missing my point entirely. Of COURSE, there are athletes in America that fake injury and complain to the referees all the time. But that type of athlete will never be considered a hero here (John McEnroe notwithstanding). We dont care where they come from as long as they play hard, play hurt, and dont complain all the time. Its why most Americans love Teemu Selanne, Sidney Crosby, and Mike Modano, Brett Favre, and Michael Jordan. Crybaby guys like Marion Gaborik? Not so much.

Where I live, its SOCCER and you know it. We have a different game called FOOTBALL and you know that, too. So stop with the superior bullshit. We both know what game we are talking about. SOCCER is a suburban sport in the USA. It is popular with women and suburban white kids. That is not an insult, its just true. Some men pursue it but it is not our primary sport. We play it until we are about 10. Then we move on to American football, basketball, or baseball. Hockey and soccer are niche sports.

As for how soccer is treated in the USA, I think it's quite similiar to Finland. Alright, it's probably slightly more popular here, and it's definitely not considered a women's sport, but Finland's success internationally speaks for itself.

Interesting. When I say it is a "woman's sport", you think that is an insult. Its not. Its obvious, isnt it? The USA women's team is ranked #1 in the world. The American men's team is ranked 21st. There are places here where soccer is played and its becoming more popular. But it is not our primary sport. It is probably about 6th or 7th in popularity. Our best male athletes, in GENERAL, dont play it. Our top three sports are American football, basketball, and baseball. How can you even argue?

American athletes and european athletes fake just as much, it's more of a difference between sports.. Like, I'd say soccer has more faking than hockey, for example. Im not saying I "consider" it a woman's sport. Im just saying that here it *IS* a woman's sport. Women athletes play it because, in GENERAL, our #1 sport of American Football doesnt have women's leagues. My highschool had a woman's soccer team and didnt even HAVE a men's team. We played Football, Basketball, and baseball. if a man wanted to play in a soccer or hockey league, they had to join a private club. Its a little different on the east coast, but its generally true in US High Schools.

Suomi will put it all together in the second bout against the USA. Personally, I see Suomi winning this one clean. Their game tempo can only be matched be Canada and Russia. Add the quick slick passing to that and we have a winner. It may or may not be physical. Both teams need the win and to win, only goals count. So they may play it careful. The Flash will be seen in this game, count on it.
