  • i had a dream about this staue she talked to me like a normal person.

    0:47

  • i wanna convert to wicca but i'm pretty sure there isn't a coven where i live...

  • Could anyone please tell me how to convert to Wicca if you're alone?

I live in an island in Greece, you see, and there aren't any other Wiccans here..

I have decided exactly what I want and I am sure of it, I never had a doubt for my beliefs anyway.

It's just that... I don't know what to do on my own.. I have a book but it doesen't say anything about it.. So if anyone can help me here I would be grateful for a lifetime! Please? I can wait..

  • @TiNafullmoon Unless you are looking to join a specific tradition in Wicca then you really don't need a coven or another witch. Simply look up dedication ritual and pull it together for yourself. If you work alone you don't really need a priest or high priest title either.

  • @BelaCharm

You can't be both wiccan and christian. In Wicca you worship both a god and a goddess which goes again Christianity.

  • @Chrode1

Thank you for clearing that up for me. A lot of people have been telling me that there are Chrisian Wiccans.

  • @BelaCharm Not if you wish to do either effectively. You don't necessarily have to let go of the Christian God to be pagan but Christianity frowns upon witchcraft. In the same turn part of being Wiccan is worshiping a god and a goddess. That idea alone causes the two religions to be in conflict. Just to be clear here, Paganism includes many religions and spiritualities while Wicca is one specific religious branch in Paganism.

  • i cant here you on the computer :(

  • I am in forest city north carolina in the usa. i am wondering if there is a priest or priestess in my general area and if there is a coven around here. any idea?

  • how do you find a High Priestess or a Coven in Australia?? i've never even herd of wicca until my friend got me a book

  • But how would I find a High Priestess? Even a Coven for that matter?

  • i would like sandra to rub one of the oils on me, and really cleanse me:) heehee

  • @unityspirit52 I also don't think I'm "all- knowing". But with logical thought I can determine that Christianity is all bs, and since it's all made up shit. Why would their god be real. I know that there is NO way to definitively disprove the existence of a deity but most likely the answer is no. Christianity took almost everything in their Holy book from other religions of the time... Then they killed off most of the other religions.

  • @unityspirit52 The bible also says that there are no gods before the christian god. And he may be the only god. And I was just pointing out that most "Christians" don't read their holy book but a 16 yo atheist does. I read it with an open mind just like I did with the Qur'an. And I guess if you want to get politically correct I'm an agnostic atheist. Richard Dawkins himself only puts himself at 6 out of 7 on a scale of atheism. But like I said, that may change soon due to Wicca.

  • @TheWitchWay you know it says they are insecure with there own beliefs when they have to bash other religions

  • @Joeyal123 I mean like totally. I never did believe the christian religion anyway. As a kid I had to pretend I did. I have a lot of friends who are christian and they are not the bashing type though. You got the jackpot right there.

  • @Erin92100 i was not afraid to tell people i was a Pagan for the longest i was afraid of Paganism and Wicca because it of what the bible said but now i am a Pagan

  • Take everything this woman says with a truckload of salt. She fancies herself to be an expert, yet all her errors say otherwise. Anyone interested in becoming wiccan, do research and more and more research and read read read. There is a LOT of horrid books full of misinfo out there, so be discerning and good luck to you!

  • how about the reed

  • I beg your pardon? There are so many things I could say about this, one of them is that you do not have to be a part of a coven to practice wicca. At all.

  • who are the gods that you are talking about?

  • @bamajama24 depends on the pantheon you follow, or if you fallow a pantheon in general. Mostly it would be directed at either the mother goddess and the father god, some wiccans have other names for them as well.

  • Bless the goddess of the Wicca

  • Goddess bless. )O(

  • Lol 'wiccaning'. :|

Who died and made her expert??

  • to the Gods.....what about THE GODDESS??????

  • @LLesleee in the english language, if someone is reffering to a group of beings, and there is one male, then its a rule in english grammer to reffer to the group as a masculine group. we get this from Latin. its sexist, i know, but thats english grammer.

  • @xguitarxmanx Quite funny how you bash Wicca when you know nothing about it. Your opinion means nothing because you have no knowledge of it.

    Blessed Be

  • @xguitarxmanx You are stupid man.

  • @xguitarxmanx you seriosly have no idea what wicca actually is. its a real religion recongnized by the federal united states government. it is the belief that everything has an immortal spirit and that there is one deity that is a balance of a God and a Goddess. THATS wicca, not Harry Potter steriotypes.

  • so just randomly wondering what gods do you believe in

  • @horsegirl600 wiccans believe in one Deity, that is a balance of masculine and femenine energy. we reffer to these two energies as God and Goddess. God has two or three different main forms (depening on who you talk to), and Goddess has three main forms as well. the trinity between the two is the cycle of life, youth, parent, and elder. we connect to them through various gods from various pantheons that usually can be classified as one of these main aspects.

  • my mother is christian and my aunt and friend introduced me to wicca. i love everything about it. but mum doesnt.

  • she said "the wiccan religion" ugh....

wise up folks, its not a recreation of anything, its straight out of Gerald Gardners scifi book.

but she did say "wiccaning" ROFLAO, sounds like "quickening" from the highlander.

  • I hate the way people are judging about religions. My friends family and I are wiccan and he made a altar for his mom in wood shop and he got expelled from that school.

  • I've never heard it called wiccaning before...I don't know if they necessarily are presenting you to the gods in the sense she is talking about.

  • @Dansback21 a wiccaning can also be when a child is born and presented to the lord and lady.at least in the correlian tradition.

  • YouTube not available

    Fuck youtube

  • I'd rather hang out with a Wiccan than an Evangelical Christian any day of the week.

  • @beerbrain420 thats because we know how to party and our woman are Sexy :-D

  • @beerbrain420 we would hang out with you too blessed be take care

  • My friends and her mother are Wiccan. They told me that I was a Wiccan. They said that they just knew that I was. That's when I decided I was going to be a Wiccan. And I am. And proud.

  • Bah! You basically have one year to be a seeker to research and learn as much as you can, and THEN you make the decision. It's not a decision to make lightly. If you break your promise to the Goddess, then you're a warlock (promise breaker).

  • @shibihuntress very well said.and im glad you said it because to many people think they can convert and whenever they are bored they can step out of it.i take witchcraft very very seriously.thanks for your honest advice to the others.

  • Act 17:22-31 -- Then Paul stood in the midst of Mars' hill, and said, Ye men of Athens, I perceive that in all things ye are too superstitious. For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you. God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;...

  • how can i start if i wanna join a coven to begin my studies but have no idea to find a coven

  • @LILSLEEPY1993 You don't need a coven to begin your studies. I'm a solitary coven, and so are thousands of others. Create what feels right to you, and experience the love of the Earth and all around you.

  • @shibihuntress you are a solitary coven?you mean you are solitary.a solitary coven ?????

  • What about initiation into a coven? Has that completely gone by the wayside?

  • I know right, and fastest growing religion in America? Lol. How about a branch of the oldest religion known to man?

  • Oldest religion known to man??

  • @autumnrayne9 Yes, Paganism. Paganism is a multi deity religion. Probably better known as Polytheism. You (I would hope) should know of all the ancient beliefs that have to do with more than one god? Wicca happens to be a Neo-Pagan religion. Which truthfully enough branches from one of the oldest let me rephrase "beliefs" out there.

  • @autumnrayne9 it predates any form of christianity

  • @girl08er If you are talking about Wicca predating any form of Christianity, then you're wrong. It most certainly does not. Even my religion professor knew that. What are your sources on this? Who told you that it predates any form of Christianity? Do you have names of historians, books, articles, anything to back up your assertion? Put it out there if you do.

  • Lol, that sounds really cute and wise.

But it's still irrelevant to why you associated "Stupid people" with this video. You can have all the views you'd like in the world.. but if you're going to use your intellect to technically bash on the views of others.. then your whole "me open minded i can see all videos i want" theory flies right out the window

All I said was that you're better continuing your paths and beliefs in order to better yourself as a person. You insist on victimization. fine

  • "Adding in terms of deity was not required at all"

Frankly, it was, otherwise.. you'll make it look like a situation where I was saying that atheists were not open minded. LOL

The video is about being accepted by a deity.

    You're an atheist.

You're associating monkeys because of stupid people" with the video.

Monkeys are not people. In terms of the evolution theory there's a missing link.

So you mentioned monkeys to call people stupid. Ok. Stupid people are relevant to this vid how?

  • As for your comment about monkeys, it was irrelevant to the video, so I didn't put mind to it.

I was commenting towards the person who's point was smashed because you decided to assert your own. -shrug- no big deal.

I mean no offense, but considering as our beliefs are diverse and different, I can understand where the impression would come from.

Hence, why it would be wise if people just followed their own path without intervening with the views of others. -facepalm-

  • the monkeys comment was relevant to my clarification of what i meant with people in the past being stupid, in clarifying how i wasn't being insulting by doing so

  • Alright, it looks like you're missing my main point and just looking to mindlessly debate and misquote. All of your text are in vain as they have no main point but to just win an argument instead of just being wise and moving along.

"real atheists don't waste time with opinions who don't share their own --IN TERMS OF DEITY" Did it not convenient you to quote my entire point? I understand. Carry on, now.

  • your main point is that i was being mean to someone, when i wasn't. therefore, the 'mindless debate' is purely me trying to defend myself against it.

i listen to the opinions of others in EVERYTHING INCLUDING DEITY, which was why i misquoted the way i did, becuase specifying 'in terms of deity' at the end wasn't required at all.

  • I believe your defensive nature has blinded you. I was stating that if you're going to be an atheist, you should wisely dwell upon those who share your views. If you believe in no god, why on earth would you be around those who oppose that view?

Listen to opinions all you want, but you'll find that there are varieties of ALL kind. Nothing new. I just don't see the point of listening to the opinions of wiccans when you're an atheist and somehow association "stupid people" with the video?

  • keeping yourself seperate from those who have differing views from your own just leads to ignorance. Only through understanding can you easily live with everyone, regardess of whether you are going to share their views. Our views on one subject shouldn't define who we are as people, and there is no reason why i shouldn't watch whatever i want to watch

  • Two things

1 I still didn't recieve the thing that u recieve in 8th grade in the christion religon. I have to say yes! Do I have to mean it and then just go celebrate wicca?

2 why do people hate the witches? They know the witches can curse you ya know so why chance it?

  • the christians who hate witches are ignorent fools in the first place. not all of them are, but the ones who are make sure they are heard

  • Sandra....you are a goddess blessings to us all. I hope to meet you one day, when and if my husband cross Miami :)

  • So all that initiatory oathbound mystery fertility witchcult that the founder of the religion insisted were the core tenets was bullshit?

  • why does an add for single muslims come up when I am on this site! I am sure Muslims would love to burn Witches - this is more than like new age religion than a nature religion - it is better than the monotheistic religion but not really a consistent religion like native American or Asatru

  • @DrunkAngryRussian you make me embarrassed to be russian...

  • @girl08er if you are "wiccan" you're not a real russian. Go die.

  • @DrunkAngryRussian I'm not, I'm orthodox, but I live in America and have been introduced to the concept of acceptance of others and have ironically become intolerant of such severe intolerance. The mother country has gone to shit...

  • Believing that there absolutely *could not* be a higher power who initiated everything in the first place relies on blind faith.

Agnostics are the only ones who don't believe in something that cannot be proven.

  • Wow...someone who knows what Wicca is and explains it correctly. As a Christian, it's always been so odd to know more about Wicca than most flakes who come up and tell me they are a Wiccan. Kudos for knowing what your religion is about.

  • Really? Because it's hard to find decent people from Christianity also. A huge percentage them haven't even ever read their bible.

  • yes i agre they brake their 10 comandmets so often that 80precent off

them are endig upp in their hell

  • Yet they condemn those who aren't Christians. Question: What's the difference between a Christian and a non-Christian? Answer: Jesus.

We all sin according to the Christian laws and every other religious law. Religion is retarded. It is so old and outdated that the laws can no longer have much power now.

  • @FireEmblemMaster28 Yes, really. I get frustrated when people cannot articulate Wicca well and tell me they are wiccan when they know less than I do. I was impressed at this individuals interest in knowing about it and presenting it well. I'm sorry you viewed this as some sort of contest and felt the need to attack Christians as indecent . I can only guess that you get attacked a lot and felt this was one more. Peace.

  • @FireEmblemMaster28 I know, I am an atheist and looking into Wicca right now. I've actually read the Holy bible and The Qur'an. I'm 16 btw so yeah. It's just sad.

  • @FireEmblemMaster28 What's interesting is that, I think it's in Hinduism, on a holy day, the entire family have to sit and read the holy book, not eating or drinking till it's finished.

  • A wiccaning is performed upon babies and young children. This does not make a baby or anyone Wiccan all it does is give protection to the baby until they have decided on their own path when they have come of age.Traditional Wicca requires an initiation rite and membership into a Wiccan coven to become a member.Neo-Wicca commonly perform a dedication ceremony dedicating themselves to the path. This is a very poor video in so many ways. It would be interesting to know what trad of Wicca this HPs is.

  • Yeap, this is same as many other like buddhism and taoism too. The asian religions. Protection spells are casted to babies til they are of 18 or 21 years of age :) Blessed Be.

  • "Think for yourself and do as I tell you."

    Your argument is silly.

  • "Don't think for yourself because thinking for yourself would be obeying someone's command, unlike this priest who tells you to give him money or else you'll be reborn as a newt"

    Your argument is fucktarded.

  • Of course you should think for yourself, but that doesn't mean that everyone is going to come to the same conclusion. Criticizing others' beliefs without even knowing what they are, simply because they are different from your own - now that is fucktarded.

  • @joyinacceptance that is bigotry

  • fuck sake. this is just sad and so un true if you know what i meen.

  • some can "see" Aliens better than other peoples ^^

or can "hear" voices that no other one hear...

  • get help lady

  • Ain't christian, muslim, buddhism, hinduism, judaism the same? Baptizing? If baptizing is wrong, then you better get help too :))

  • If you are wicca, or a witch, do you have "powers" or is that a myth

  • its not a myth some can see ghosts & the energy around ppl, animals better than other ppl

  • No more than any other normal person would have. However I believe the average person has far more power than most believe. It is just a matter of tapping into it Witch, Wiccan, or not.

  • Well, everyone possess the 'power'. Our brain usage has alot left unused and many other 'otherworldy' stuffs can actually be utilised if we expand its usage:) Wiccan, and other religions (serious) actually does help one to explore the unexplored realms of the 'power', or the energies from the surrounding for goodwill. These powers ain't like those you see in Harry Potter or stuff. Energies cannot be seen. Magnetic force is one of the most similar thing that can be used as an example of e energy

  • I don't think the store is beautiful. Can anyone post things on expert village?

  • Lol.. 'Wicca is the fastest growing religion in America,' All 50 of you converted another 50, congrats. People confuse fastest growing with the actual numbers.. If 50 people grow by 50%, it's still only 75.

  • wicca is the fastest growing religion in america?

ha...way to be an expert on "expertvillage"

get your facts right if you even want to remotely pass this off as anything other than magical statue worship.

  • Thanks, lilith.

  • Don't convert to wicca! it's bs, just like tarot cards. why are you guys uploading these videos???

  • no, atheism relies on not having a fundimental faith in anything that could be described as a god, or at least that's how i would describe myself. It is the absence of belief that makes you an atheist

  • Atheism means you believe that there absolutely could not be a god.

You cannot *disprove* the existence of a god (or "God"), so this is essentially blind faith.

Agnostics who claim that it is impossible to know whether or not there is a God are the only ones who do not need to believe in something that cannot be proven.

  • No, i do not have 'believe' that there is not a god, i just have a complete absence on beleif in a god with the evidence available to me. It's a position i have taken, that i do not think god exists, but that is not the same as belief.

If evidence were to arise that suggested to me that a god did exist, then i would be reconsidering my position.

Beleif isn't that easy to change

  • Well, if you think about it, theres proof of "something" all around us. Mostly in nature. Maybe it's God, maybe it isn't.

  • all there is proof of is that a chemical reaction of massively low odds that eventually gave rise to live at some point millions of years ago.

You are correct, maybe it was a 'god' , but i remain atheist (lacking belief) until such evidence arises that my opinion is changed :)

  • thats fair

  • You don't understand. Atheists believe that there is no higher being. It's a belief, a belief system in some way. Because they really do believe there is no God, or spirits, or whatever.

HOWEVER, agnostics accept that we do not know whether there is a higher being or not (so they often even stay away from the topic completely).

With what you said, especially with the first half of your first sentence, it means you're rather agnostic.

  • Atheists DENY the existance of a higher being, we don't 'believe' there isn't one. There is a difference, agnostics accept they do not know there is a god, Atheists 'know', and deny any existance of one.

Belief is something that requires trust with no evidence, this is something i do not have

  • What you just said is not precise desciption, but just expressing YOUR OWN way of thinking and feelings about atheism and agnostics.Denying the existence of a higher being= believing there is no higher being. If it was 100% sure and true that there is no higher being, then what you said would be ok...But at the moment, it's not 100% sure, there is no explanation of why there is even material or how all was made. Religions also have cultural bonds and value, and there are just so much believers..

  • WRONG denyng somethings existance is not the same as 'believing' it's not there. You clearly do not understand the concept of belief. The fact that there are a large number of blievers doesn't make religions more credible, simply due to the fact that for most of our existance, humans have been stupid, and at one point we numbered in our hundreds. No explaination of how the universe was created does not give credibility of the existance of a deity either.

  • I'm not gonna talk more about this deny thing, it's hopeless in every way. Yes, of course, if more people believe, it doesn't mean it's surely true. But you know, if it was 100% sure that there is not any kind of higher geing (let it be spirit, god, astral creature, no matter) than obviously, there wouldn't be such an overhelming amount of believers.

  • like i said, people are stupid, and there didn't used to be so many of us. If there were 1000 people, and half of them believed in god, then every family that did believe taught their children, you can extrapolate that to being something like 4billion believers at the current time, so yeah, numbers don't lend legitimacy.

  • But anyway, there is the question that if you insist on atheism so much, even accepting only your way of expressing it, why do you even watch such a video? Why do you click on it? :O

  • i clicked on the video becuase i am interested in other people's opinions and what people believe in, even if i don't agree with them.

knowledge for the sake of itself is never a bad thing :)

  • Ooooook.

  • You claim people are stupid in such a definite tone, yet, afterward you say: "I like listening to other people's opinions even if I don't agree with them" Hmm.... I find that a rather interesting claim.

Human beings are diverse, and it's impossible to accurately label them all as "liars, delusional, misguided, stupid, etc.." because of that philosophy that states it is impossible for you to know what it's like being every since human being. You're only limited to your own perception/visuals.

  • ok, umm, howabout this. Compared to humans, monkeys are 'stupid'. I don't use the word in malice, but you must see how i'm using the word. Obviously there was a massive transitional period before being on the level of monkeys and having written language, therefore, saying that for most of our existance people have been stupid, is a fair statement. If you'd prefer ignorant, uninformed, less intelligent, of simpler thinking....well any of those would do in the place of stupid in this context

  • Ah, resorting to insults only shows that you yourself, have no life, dear sir.

I offered you wisdom, and in return, you exchange for patronizing.

Listen, you said "people were stupid" if you wish to call monkeys a person... then knock yourself out. But if that's the case, then I'm sure the communication will be terribly off when you talk to others cause many wont consider it as such.

As for your comment being posted months ago, granted. But it's published in public. Hah, relax Common sense

  • i didn't insult anyone, and i didn't call monkeys 'people'. you clearly didn't understand what i was saying at all.

also i wasn't patronizing. i've no idea where you got that from.

i'm perfectly relaxed also, and my language was neither agressive nor aggrivated

and another thing. you didn't offer me wisdom, just a different opinion, which i responded to with clarification of an earlier point.

  • Telling someone to "get a life just" just because you posted comments about your opinions in public and someone decided to respond.. is.. in fact, an insult. Or defensive hostility, which ever you prefer.

As for wisdom, that would be pursuing a path that inspires you to continue with your life and progress. I know real atheists don't waste their times with opinions of people who don't share their views in terms of deity. They continue to advance society with their knowledge and inspiration.

  • 'get a life' in that instance was a suggestion rather than an insult, though i suppose the implication that you don't have a life could be drawn from the statement, therefore i apoligise.

real atheists don't waste their time with opinions of those who don't share their own? To not even listen to others opinions would be arrogant at best and impolite at worst, 'atheist' is not a synonym for either of these words.

  • also, i made that comment months ago, get a life

  • I understand exactly what you mean. You weren't stating that believers make something real (although, there are scientists who would argue this point, indeed, and even express studies on how the power of belief really does give life, but that's another topic) you were simply stating that human beings have basis behind their beliefs. And you're right.

You never said everyone was right, only that their foundation has some sort of substance. *shrug*

  • Oh, thank you :). And sorry for that long debate in the comments, I know how annoying it can be.

  • Hah, no problem. =) I just feel if you're going to be an atheist, be an atheist because it makes you a better person and inspired to live life. Not so you can go and ridicule others for their beliefs. Then that makes you no different than religious preachers. *wink* So I sort've jumped in myself.

Many blessings on your path/journey to life ~

  • Yeah, exactly. You know, I can understand both Wiccans and Atheists well for I've been in both perspectives for quite a while, but it's all just meaningless harm if we don't keep a little bit of tolerance. Religion could be such a heartwarming social and personal thing, an upkeep of old culture if stuff like Burning Times, wars and hate wasn't included to it.

  • Yeah, I've actually delved into the perspectives of atheists myself, and I grant them a lot of respect for their knowledge and research. Some people are better off being atheists, as they feel more inspired believing this is the last chance and life they have.

Others, not so much. lol human beings are beautifully diverse and I enjoy a healthy human being that follows that path that makes them vibrate at their highest in positivity. :)

Good to know I'm not alone.

    ~ Warm blessings to you

  • Okay. Whilst most Wiccans are witches not all witches are Wiccan. I am a Witch yet not Wiccan. Plus you do not have to be a witch to be Wiccan: none the less if you are serious in becoming Wiccan I can highly recommend The Witches Voice website ( google it )

  • Yeah, but because you'll make sabbats as a Wiccan, (it's not in any laws, but still is a must in a way, naturally) and you may also have a Wiccaning, Initiation, (Self-)Dedication, rituals for getting a higher rank in coven, etc., and I haven't even mentioned how unavoidable visualisations are, so you can't really avoid being a witch and using witchcraft in some way.

  • its so important to keep wiccanism and paganism alive.the history of the world befor christianity is realy the root of all things.

  • preacher

  • She got nice stuff in the store.

  • Witch!!!!

  • I thought for my self for my whole life, and because of that am very religious just not an wiccan or christian, or islam or anything excepted but more of a Shamanistic/Monotheistic/Pantheist/Kabbalistic/ and scientific thing, based on the concept of absolute infintiy in all aspects being the divine.

  • ya some of us dont wanna be athiest you know. Dont make others lose hope or i will unleash my CAPS LOCK on you :)

  • yeah

  • CAPS LOCK IS CRUISE CONTROL FOR COOL
