you safty police really make me laugh. you get all bent out of shape cus someone wants to risk there own skin. i'm not knockin guys that wear there gear it's the smart thing to do. but to each there own if a guy chooses not to wear his gear it's none of your Fuxing business. the law don't make me so it's my CHOICE thats the part you don't seem to get.

@THEARMEDLIFE I hear ya. I road for a many years (before mandatory helmet law) without one. Had actually flipped a bike over and wrapped it around a tree without a helmet on and walked away with just hurt pride. But also I'd throw my helmet when I knew I was going to push it hard. I think it should be a choice. Hell they DOT approve these half helmets and they're have ridiculous protection. Arizona, you still don't have to wear a helmet.

it's high risk everytime you throw your leg over a bike. gloves will save you some skin i agree. but there not comfortable. do you wear a full leather outfit every time you ride? i know alot of bikers and i've never met anyone who does. if ur not wearing pants and a jacket whats the point of gloves. my state don't even have helmet laws. good luck trying to get gloves on a guy who don't where a even helmet.

@WatchToddPattison: i'm one of the lucky ones but i dropped my bike on its side slid into the front of a parked car no gear lost some skin but i'm a man i can take it. also i once slammed my bike into a wall on lake shore drive i was wearing a lid but i should have been wearing riding boots i broke my foot and opened my shoe like sand paper on a peach i did'nt have a lot of skin left on my foot but i did'nt go down also dropped it once riding a wheelie across a parking lot it hurts but you live
