I need to do an update video since she's 8 now and taking formal dance lessons. She's my best friend's little sister so I'll get on that soon:-) Thanks for watching.
@happygrldez That girl knows her reels, and polkas like the back of her hand she is so good. I've been doing Irish set dancing for 2 years now and still learning to tell my reels and polkas apart!
@Erin92100 Lol. That's funny, she has never taken Irish dancing at all. I don't even think they have a Irish dancing school in my area. This is just natural talent..
@DanceTapper301 Huh. Kind of strange that there might not have any Irish dancing schools around in the area. Are there any groups that she can join? I got into my group by going to class one evening with a friend and was hooked the very same night. I have been dancing ever since and it has been 2 years now since that night. It's so much fun.
@happygrldez Is there no one in her area that can teach Irish dance? Even if it is only once a week class that rents a school space? That is a bummer, that kid could do with someone to dance with and a group that can teach her the dances. Talent indeed!
@Erin92100 Well she does take lessons at my studio its basically Tap, Jazz, Hiphop, Ballet, Contemporary/Lyrical, Acro styles. We live in Southern Maine which is pretty dry of cultural dancing besides from native americans.
@DanceTapper301 Awwwww Man! Learning Irish dance and possibly teaching others could really spice things up on the cultural dancing scene in Southern Maine. What do you think?
@Erin92100 I know right! There's barely any Latin ballroom or even Hip Hop in general at all. It's sad but the Maine Dance Teacher's Club is trying really hard to get some exposure by bringing national teachers and stuff for workshops. It's slowly building. Slowly but surely.
@DanceTapper301 *bad singin' but that song that Dory sings in Findin' Nemo* Just keep on dancin', just keep on dancin'... You get the idea. These kinds of dance can use as much exposure as they can get! Keep tryin', things'll pick up popularity soon. I hope.
