@akylyka17 Bell's palsy involves damage to the seventh cranial (facial) nerve, surgery to relieve pressure on the nerve (decompression surgery) can help with facial twitching, but you would have to speak with your general practitioner. Have you any other symptoms?
I was diagnosed with bp on the 17th feb 2012 . I am a complete fitness fanatic that runs long distance (over 10 miles ) twice a week and goes to the gym 3 times a week . On the 18th feb I went to the gym and struggled drinking as I have to suck through the holder, ended up wearing most of my drink . My wife thought I was mad going the gym but I felt no pain just numbness and paralysis in my face .
The next day I saw a massive improvement and it is now only the 22nd feb and I have made almost
@7nck Hi, it would appear you may of had a mild attack, so get plenty of rest, good nutrition and exercise (which I think you already do). Anyway, the attack can come from stress or over-working your body too much and you need to keep a healthy balance, in order to keep yourself in good shape. Remember that relaxation is just as important as exercise. Pleased to hear you are on your way to a full recovery. take care !!!

@juanitoelcaminante You say you have had BP for 6 weeks. This is the early stages and should resolve itself in the next few months. Please eat and rest properly. Do not overdo things as your body needs to heal.
I've had it for two months. Almost 100 percent. It is extremely scary, my blinking still needs some time. I got prednisone for 5 days and anti-viral acyclovir for a week. I got b-complex shots (b1,b6,b12,pain) that i got from a indoor swap meet... My mom gave me the shots , 6 of them every other day in my butt...and took zinc pills. I massaged my face carefully and didn't do facial exercises. Email me if you have questions. Mirep81@hotmail.com

They didn't mention Melkersson-Rosenthal Syndrom where returning facial paralysis is one of the symptoms. I am diagnosed with it. I have already had 5 episods of BP in my life. 2x on left and 3x on right side of my face. In 2010 I've had an operation: facial nerve decompression. BP can also have a genetic source. I have contacts with people whose members of family had BP.
i think first thing that hitted me first was my ear on dat side it was painfully then of course my face im glad to see im not alone i dont know anyone where im from in my lil city that suffered from it
i also suffer from bp and i cant smile dat same no more its been bout 8 years now .also on same side my eye is lower den left. my lasted bout 8 months .datsy wen i take pics usual im lookin down
@TheBellspalsychannel its been so long ago but yeah steriods and sumthing else and my face is still messed up from it if u look at me good my right side of my face is lower then other side ..i think my face is permant left this way
I got BP last year in October, and I was awake when all my symptons were happening and it was the scariest feeling. I had been sick awhile with sinus infections, ear infections, uncontrolled diabetic which i think led to BP?? But the dr's immediately put me on an anti-viral medication, predisone, and i did facial therapy myself and within 3- 4 month's i was 98 % healed. Just stay strong and positive and don't give up! May God bless and heal your BP!
I have BP- Or should I say I had it? don't really know and really don' t care anymore. I'm going on into my 5th year since BP- at first its really hard . One feels down and self conscious but in time you get over it. If you look close at me , my mouth still goes off to the side a bit, and my eye moves when I say words with B, P and F , but that doesn't bother anymore. You have to give thanks to God because you can talk, walk and think. So, be happy! WE ARE ONE OF THE SPECIAL ONES. :)

I had BP 8 months ago. Unlike most of them who had it while sleeping, i had the symptoms while i was awake. It started first thing in the morning, i had twitching(s) on my upper eyebrow, lower eyelid, cheek, nose, and upper lip (all right side), continously till the afternoon. At night my right side of face started to stiffen, and i thought that i might had BP. My neuro prescribed me with prednisolone n i had physiotherapy (facial nerve stimulation) every day also did facial exercises at home.
I had it five weeks ago. i took prednisolone pills(dosage must be controlled), bcomplex vitamins pills, echinacea anti viral pills also. i also consumed 1 glass of soya milk mix wiz pure honey twice per day. i ate lot of vitamins C fruits daily and also lots of carrots and soya beans. i did facial massage daily. i did acupressure everyday. i did prayanama breathing everyday. i did physiotherapy. i noticed the first slight movement after 12 days and was 98% cured after 5 weeks.

That's kinda scary....awhile ago when I was in the car I almost had a panic attack because the whole right side of my face went numb and I couldn't move it as well......it only lasted for like 20 minutes though O_o
I found out before xmas that I have bells palsy. It started on my right side I'm taking antibiotics everything was fine I was recovering at least I thought so. Today I realized I noticed that I do not have hundred per cent control over my left cheek can this really happen or am I just overreacting?

@Molonca Yes, there is a possibility of another attack, but this happens in rare cases so don't worry too much. Some people get one attack and never experience it ever again, which is the norm and a small minority have endured several attacks. We recommend that you seek medical advise on adoption of certain practices being deployed into your life to prevent this from happening, this can be reducing stress, eating a more balanced diet, getting regular exercise. etc, etc. Take care of yourself BPC
I have had it since birth for over 15 years. It was terrible at birth, but has since improved greatly. However, the state of it at the moment is what some youtubers reached within 6/7 months. I don't like it when BP 'sufferers' feel sorry for themselves. You've got a lot to be grateful for. Wouldn't you rather it was BP than something worse? (I say this generally, I know people may have worse conditions, I am trying to be as diplomatic as possible when I make this controversial statement) Thanks
I'm that 15% of people who never recovered 18 years later. It's revolting and embarrassing and I can't laugh in front of people without hiding my face. I even lisp slightly now, can't breathe through my right nostril which causes huge problems for me with a deviated septum already which surgery couldn't correct. Depressing.
@hotcommentator I too find it embarrassing to smile or laugh in front of others and the BP can make you feel aweful, it is only when I look around myself and see the magic of the world that I am reminded of people like, George Clooney and Sly Stallone and how they never let it hold them back. To be truthful they have used it as a part of their manly ruggedness and made themselves appear very appealing to the opposite sex. Don't get down there is more to you than BP!
I can't believe nobody here has mentioned lyme disease...look up borrelia burgdorferi and it's huge connection with BP. Please start looking in the right direction! There is hope!
@ItsBB1tch Hi, yes it is true Borrelia burgdorferi is a causative factor in many BP and Borrelia burgdorferi is the spirochaete that causes Lyme disease. So we can make a connection that this condition can be backward tracked to Borrelia burgdorferi. Thank you for your input on the another plausible cause of BP.
Anyone, wanting to learn more should consult their GP or Practitioner who will assist and treat this condition in conjunction with specific tests and medications.
First of all thanks for the information! I am now 18 years old and have mild bells pulsy, I have had it for 4 years. At first when I got it I was given steroids by my doctor but they did not work and now I am 18 years old and still have no ideas on how I could go about getting rid of it. At the end of your vid you say it usually goes away after 3 months but I have had it for 4 years I was wondering if anyone knew what my chances of completely getting rid of it were? Thanks again for the info.

I am not encouraging drug use, especially stimulants, but after the 3rd week of BP not getting any better, I snorted a HUGE line of cocaine and the NEXT DAY had some movement return and could close my eye for the first time! I got my very first cold sore 2 yrs after bells palsy so not sure about the connection there, I was rather immuno-compromised from flu, no rest/ and lack of sleep. 8 yrs on and when I gain a few xtra pounds, you can really see it.
First of all it seems that you are out off topic. Bell's palsy can be rarely be the outcome of a virus infection. And secondly, reading some articles on the internet without having the proper background to do it doesn't give you the right to comment on videos like this. What do you know about Bell's palsy anyway? Are you a doctor or a med student?
I hope you're getting treatment right away. The effectiveness of the medicatio goes down the longer you wait to begin. Good Luck~ I woke up with it on 12-4 and have been posting updates. I decided to be very aggressive in treating it, opting to go on steroids, anti-viral, anti-biotic, and septra. Plus a big push with all the vitamins, rest, heat treatments, nerve stimmulation, massage. I've had amazing results in a short period of time. Check out my vlogs to see for yourself. Best of luck~
im really appreciated to this videos, and sites...this videos and introduction is very effective to all the people gets idea knowing about bell's palsy..
Michelle, you may have had a mild attack last year and the nerve hadn't completely healed so you have had a second flare up, which would account for the more afflicted speech impediment. This usually will also pass, but can take time. Make sure you rest properyly and eat regularly. Include B12 vitamin supplements in your diet and reduce any stress in your life to a minimum. All the best - Gaza (TBPC)

So basically the ONLY way to recover from Bells palsy is thru waiting??
I mean,
with todays technology there is no cure for that???
This is just another sad and sickening truth about those who have full control over this planet.
They HAVE the cure for Cancer, AIDS, HIV, Heart-Desease, Hairloss and etc.
but they wil NEVER publish it because this way doctors run out of job.
It is so obvious that, since we NEED jobs, we can not HAVE the FULL Treatment for all those Diseases

Sorry for late reply, Bells Palsy has many causes and there are a variety of treatments shown to be affective.
Sometimes BP clears up by itself and sometimes it needs some encouragement through manipulation and anti-viral/ anti-inflammatory meds.
On any political stance we make no comment, but we tend to lean towards what can be done now for the benefit of the sufferer. BPC

lol, your comment is stupid and offending to those who have spent thousands of hours in order to find the cure for so many other diseases so far.

Do you know how complex the process is to CREATE a Virus?
YES, you read it right,
just do some research
And if they are able to CREATE a virus with todays technology then they FOR SURE have the Cure for ALL those Viruses they created in the First place
Why would they have a cure for a Virus THEY created?
Because this way they can make their money
Best example,
they created the "Swine Flu" and made the Vaccine ready for PROFIT
So do some RESEARCH before you make fun of others..

First of all it seems that you are out off topic. Bell's palsy can be rarely be the outcome of a virus infection. And secondly, reading some articles on the internet without having the proper background to do it doesn't give you the right to comment on videos like this. What do you know about Bell's palsy anyway? Are you a doctor or a med student?

allright relax men,
i wasn't ATTACKING this video in any way.
After i wrote the comment I found out that bell's palsy has nothing to do with technology and cant be cured with technology,
i know now that people get that from high blood pressure and tomuch stress ,
it can only go away with time
so if i attacked anybody then i apologies

I hope you're getting treatment right away. The effectiveness of the medicatio goes down the longer you wait to begin. Good Luck~ I woke up with it on 12-4 and have been posting updates. I decided to be very aggressive in treating it, opting to go on steroids, anti-viral, anti-biotic, and septra. Plus a big push with all the vitamins, rest, heat treatments, nerve stimmulation, massage. I've had amazing results in a short period of time. Check out my vlogs to see for yourself. Best of luck~
