@callof112233 hey, if you already have a transmitter like a dx6i or dx7, buy a trex 450 pro or sport super combo. Its cheaper in the long run and the they fly 100x better.

I never claimed to be some hard core 3D pilot. I just have a crazy old video of me hovering inverted but that's already more than this guy can do so I don't need to prove much more. I really wasn't trying to be a jerk. Fact is this guy just doesn't know what "3D" flying is.

Yeah this isn't balls to the wall testing, but if I know anything about properly testing something is to keep pushing it little by little. This is this heli's 2,3,4th flight. Hardly time to be calling it for hardcore 3D. I'd rather keep my heli flying than tear it up on it's second flight. Especially in 20 MPH winds.

I'm new to helicopters and am having trouble with my rudder being way to sensitive. When I try to hover my copter spins in one direction so I move the trim one click in the opposite direction which causes the copter to spin in the opposite direction. Is this a sub trim issue in the radio settings or is it a physical issue like moving the rudder control rod one hole closer to the center of the servo horn on the rudder servo? If a radio issue how do I reduce the rudder sensitivity?

Where is some info on the 'head-cam' you're using? It shoots pretty nice high-def video.
Couple suggestions :Please do short test flights and either data-log power usage or monitor battery AH going back in on charge. You can't keep flying LiPo packs to the end without risking damage to them. Time the flights. Also, work on your pitch/throttle curves more or run an ESC with a governor inside. Your head speed was all over the place. BTW, I JUST ordered a 900 for myself :-) Later!

dave i bought a blade sr but when i tryed to take off and my faward servo glitched and my chopper crashed nose first and broke bolth of my blade holders and i repared that but now my collictive pitch does not worke at all it just stays at nutrule pitch can you help.

Just a heads up here. There's a lot of good quality birds out there, be carefull who you by from. In my exprerience, nitroplanes and xheli are not up to our standards. Again, the product's are good. Many times though, the products are not as described. What these guys call RTF is not what beginners want to get into. Their customer service, tech support, and interpretation of what the products should be
you should get the exi 450 pro. I mean i havnt seen a hli vid in a while, besides the airhogs vid copter. You could buy some exi servos maybe an exceed rc motor and esc and what not

@N5omn1ac I fly Realflight G4.5. I've flown realflight 4.5 FMS and Aerofly Professional Deluxe. I prefer Realflight over Aerofly and FMS because I liked the better graphics, Aerofly however is called to be more realistic on the controls. FMS not realistic at all but its free and it learns you the controls

:D the shutter speed makes it looks like the rotor is hardly moving XD
i have a question: i have a medium sized, decently powerful helicopter that i've been fixing for a while. i charged it one day and took it out for a test run, but it simply wouldn't start. usually when i spin the main blades with my hand, the tail ones will move to (gyro, i presume?) but not even the tail rotor is moving. what should i do? you guys are the only ones i know to ask right now.
@SkEtChSkEtCh9384 Make sure your throttle hold and 3d switch is off, thorttle lever all the way down, and throttle trim lever is all the way dwn. Then turn on tx, then the rx. See if it will reset. Most etrms tail rotors dont start turning til 1/2 throttle. Good luck,
dave in the mini ch47 have you had any problems? mine will take off then die as if someone turned the tx off don,t know wether this is a fault with them or not please advise ..thanks
@xxkil Sounds like the battery is toast. If you can get a voltmeter on it, check. If it is below 3volts (per cell) the battery is no longer usable. Try that always first. Good luck.

My esc is 30a, and my old battery is 20c 11.1v 2200 mah. can i put there like 5000mah 20 c 11.1v ? Continuous Discharge Rate: 20C / 100A, Burst Discharge Rate: 20 C / 125A, Maximum charge rate 5Amps. help plz.
@luki01111 I'm afraid your going to need at least a 14.4v to run this machine, but from what I see, it just may work on 11.1. Only way to know is to try. Good luck.
Great video as usual, and I enjoy watching them. But one thing confused me. If the bigger battery added weight to the front, so you add back wards trim (pushes down on the tail). What happens when you flip over? The nose is still heavier, but now the trim is making it worse (pushing up on the tail, since you are upside down), right? Or am I confused about this. Help unconfuse me Dr. Dave
@jlharv64 I try to find a happy medium. Once trimmed, it flies inverted just as smooth as upright, but you have to hold a little fore pressure on the elevator stick to keep it from climbing. Thanks for the kind words.
Hey Dave, you should put the "Detrum GY48V" headlock gyro on this heli. I got it from hobbypartz for $18 and it is amazing in my CopterX450. Rock solid
@bdargo Hmmmm... Why? Was my gyro not working in your mind. I don't really like headlock gyros, cause when I want to make a move, I don't want my gyro holding me back from what I learned when we had no gyros. Thanks.
@NightFlyyer Well I was just suggesting it since I have spent 3x as much for other gyros and the $18 Detrum GY48V completely blows them all away. Since you are mostly testing products from xheli, I figured you might do a review of that gyro.

The video camera head strap idea is one of the best ive seen. Most videos where people film other people flying you can tell they are lagging behind. With this video you are showing us what you are seeing. Since you know where you are going to go with the heli it makes some of the best video footage ive seen. Great video Dave!

@N5omn1ac I fly Realflight G4.5. I've flown realflight 4.5 FMS and Aerofly Professional Deluxe. I prefer Realflight over Aerofly and FMS because I liked the better graphics, Aerofly however is called to be more realistic on the controls. FMS not realistic at all but its free and it learns you the controls

Have you tried the Scorpion heli motors? I'm pleased w/ all their products (VERY high quality and competitive price) I've got a Trex450pro outfitted with their HKII2221-6 4400KV - with a 12 tooth pinion it will absolutely blow your socks off. Servos are stock Align digital, but gyro is upgraded to GY520. It is truly one crisp-flying, overpowered microheli.
I'd be happy to send it out if you'd care to demo it.

:D the shutter speed makes it looks like the rotor is hardly moving XD
i have a question: i have a medium sized, decently powerful helicopter that i've been fixing for a while. i charged it one day and took it out for a test run, but it simply wouldn't start. usually when i spin the main blades with my hand, the tail ones will move to (gyro, i presume?) but not even the tail rotor is moving. what should i do? you guys are the only ones i know to ask right now.

@SkEtChSkEtCh9384 Make sure your throttle hold and 3d switch is off, thorttle lever all the way down, and throttle trim lever is all the way dwn. Then turn on tx, then the rx. See if it will reset. Most etrms tail rotors dont start turning til 1/2 throttle. Good luck,

dave in the mini ch47 have you had any problems? mine will take off then die as if someone turned the tx off don,t know wether this is a fault with them or not please advise ..thanks

@xxkil Sounds like the battery is toast. If you can get a voltmeter on it, check. If it is below 3volts (per cell) the battery is no longer usable. Try that always first. Good luck.

Nice Heli Dave. Do you fly any nitro heli's any more, or are you liking the clean, quick get up and go of the electrics nowadays. I really like the look of this bird. I'll have to check out a supplier around my area to see if its available. Thanks.

My esc is 30a, and my old battery is 20c 11.1v 2200 mah. can i put there like 5000mah 20 c 11.1v ? Continuous Discharge Rate: 20C / 100A, Burst Discharge Rate: 20 C / 125A, Maximum charge rate 5Amps. help plz.

@luki01111 I'm afraid your going to need at least a 14.4v to run this machine, but from what I see, it just may work on 11.1. Only way to know is to try. Good luck.

Great video as usual, and I enjoy watching them. But one thing confused me. If the bigger battery added weight to the front, so you add back wards trim (pushes down on the tail). What happens when you flip over? The nose is still heavier, but now the trim is making it worse (pushing up on the tail, since you are upside down), right? Or am I confused about this. Help unconfuse me Dr. Dave

@jlharv64 I try to find a happy medium. Once trimmed, it flies inverted just as smooth as upright, but you have to hold a little fore pressure on the elevator stick to keep it from climbing. Thanks for the kind words.

Hey Dave, you should put the "Detrum GY48V" headlock gyro on this heli. I got it from hobbypartz for $18 and it is amazing in my CopterX450. Rock solid

@bdargo Hmmmm... Why? Was my gyro not working in your mind. I don't really like headlock gyros, cause when I want to make a move, I don't want my gyro holding me back from what I learned when we had no gyros. Thanks.

@NightFlyyer Well I was just suggesting it since I have spent 3x as much for other gyros and the $18 Detrum GY48V completely blows them all away. Since you are mostly testing products from xheli, I figured you might do a review of that gyro.

The video camera head strap idea is one of the best ive seen. Most videos where people film other people flying you can tell they are lagging behind. With this video you are showing us what you are seeing. Since you know where you are going to go with the heli it makes some of the best video footage ive seen. Great video Dave!
