i own a 450xl trex cost me 700 with transmitter 7 program and i was able to fly it well in 30 mph gusts!!! installed my cell phone on the bottom but i thinl it changed some of the habits.

you should get a 3D plane that flys in a yard like a flat foamie.

you need to master flying the cx2 first. It is fun outside. learn to go forwards backwards and all around. After that you will be ready for the cp. I fly my cx2 outside with my friend and it is a blast to go all over the place. We play tag (not the best idea, we go through blades doing that) but it is a load of fun. Good luck.
