Godzilla (1954) (Godzilla's tail moving about)

King Kong vs. Godzilla (1962) (Godzilla drop-kicks Kong)

Godzilla vs. Biollante (1989) (delelted scene)

Godzilla vs. Destroyah (1995) (Destroy crabs scuttling about and the crabs scuttling on Godzilla)

The first two, had animation in that standard (what you saw). The last two had animation above that standard. More like the ones in those Charles Band Full Moon movies.

It is so good that it goes next to the climax from THE GATE (1987).

Thanks for the upload! Wow- how far we have come- Japanese names changed to "George" and "Rita" for Americans in the '70s. I totally forgot this show had an anti-pollution message- Maybe Gore was a fan while in college. Another interesting fact shown in this episode: apparently when stop-motion creatures die riga mortis sets in instantly.
